  1. Wish I could see the Atlanta - Pittsburgh game.. 10 goals after two periods (unless they net even more in the final 3 minutes of the second)! And it looks like my Leafs are falling again.
  2. http://www.torontosun.com/Sports/Hockey/20...280706-sun.html A small article about Ovechkin.. I wonder though: who is the better player of Ovechkin and Crosby? I have seen Ovechkin play in the junior world championships and the real world championships and I really like his intensity and playing style (agressive!), but since I've only seen Crosby once (I think) I can't exactly compare them. From the hype surrounding Crosby, he sounds like Gretzky reincarnated, and if that's true then there's no question about it. The points claim they're about equal (so far).. I guess time will tell.
  3. I thought Minority Report was kind of.. neat "Sm
  4. My site's main coder hadn't done his job when we woke up this morning, and like an hour ago he logged on and we asked him what's up. "I got Civ 4 last night, and I sat up until 9 in the morning to play it. Why? Something wrong?" I guess it is good.. .. but it doesn't help our site!!
  5. Oh great. Another thing to worry about. Thanks Edit: Spelling.
  6. Does anyone else think thats crap? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, it's really weird. Can it really be legal to stop people from expressing their opinions? That would never be allowed in Sweden. It seems that fining someone for speaking their mind would violate every free speech law in existance..? I don't understand it, really. I don't even think Quinn has been criticizing the game! He has said he doesn't like the way shoot-outs are more of a gamble than a fair result of every game, and that officiating has been inconsistant (which it has, since some refs seem to forget that hockey still is a contact sport). Not that big a deal in my opinion. Not worth getting fined for at least.
  7. It closed my favourite NHL thread so I don't like it anymore
  8. Phew! That's one of Toronto's few records! I believe they won 10 games in a row, from the season opener and forward when they set the record.
  9. Very boring post. I wish I was more flame happy..
  10. Finns have great hockeyplayers (Saku Koivu, Sami Kapanen, Teemu Sel

  12. I'm also a bit pissed that our mammoth thread was closed down without any obvious (except for Volourn participating) reason. Anyhow, I've always seen Forsberg as slightly overrated. I mean, sure he's probably the most talented player on the ice when he's healthy.. But he never is! The guy is a walking encyclopedia for hockey related injuries! During his career he's missed more games per season on average than Sundin (for example ) had missed prior to this season altogether! Swedish media regards him as a god. One reporter is so bad (Mats Wennerholm) that if Forsberg peed in his face, he would come in his pants. I hope that sounds disgusting, because that's exactly what Wennerholm's relationship to Foppa is. If Forsberg had had 15-20 healthy years in the NHL, he would probably have been a Messier type icon. As it is now, I don't think he belongs in the Hall of Fame. Who knows, that may change, if he has one hell of a last couple of years and manages to bring the cup to Philly.
  13. Nope, it was more of an utterly talentless attempt at trolling )
  14. You can side with whoever you want, it's not my problem. My problem is taking someone seriously who dismisses an entire board with statements like "you just don't understand it" when he's caught lying or being horribly wrong. Why even bother trying to reason with ignorance personified? On the other hand.. Just as "consoles aren't computers", he will never admit he was wrong when he said the PS2 doesn't have a GPU, no matter how many articles, quotes or spec. sheets we link to. "Sony has decided to combine its PlayStation CPU and GPU into one 90 nm chip containing 53 million transistors. The original PlayStation 2 featured an "Emotion Engine" based on the 300MHz MIPs R4000/R5000 hybrid CPU, and a 147MHz "Graphics Synthesizer" GPU which claimed to be far more powerful than any other GPU when it was released. The two chips were made on a .25 micron process, so by switching to the 90 nm process Sony can easily combine the cores." Source: http://www.geek.com/news/geeknews/2003May/...30506019864.htm Just because Sony decided to make the PSTwo (the slim version) and combine two processors on one chip (because, unlike the Xbox, the PS2 gets updated with new technology), doesn't mean the GPU just ceased to exist.
  15. Aah, right. We have no knowledge, but you do. Just like in this case: You really think you're the enlightened one and we're just jealous of your vast knowledge, don't you?
  16. Must be tough being an Oilers fan right now. I feel for you! The Leafs keep winning some, but like the last game against the Bruins: it doesn't exactly look good. Or safe! They really need to start playing better defense, Belfour just has to be more consistent and play the entire game as he did in the last half of the game, our goalscorers need to step it up, especially O'neill and Allison, and our rookies (STEEN!) needs more discipline and needs to stop drawing 4 minute penalites in the remaining 30 seconds of a tied game! Other than that we're pretty set
  17. Yup, I really enjoyed Half-Life 2 and I think it's one of the best FPS's ever made. Does that stop me from thinking that releasing tech demos and five hour long episodes is a bad idea? Nope. I would much rather get a full expansion, a brand new game or anything but these tiny little episodes they're planning to release. Half-Life 2 didn't have a real ending, and it bugs me that they're going to charge me for Aftermath, which is basically the ending that should have been included in Half-Life 2. Lost Coast (now that I've read about it and doesn't confuse it with the expansion anymore) interests me even less, since it's really nothing more than a level designed to promote a technology that I dont give a rats ass for.
  18. I just completed Icewind Dale myself for the first time about two weeks ago. I am trying to learn to appreciate the IE so I can finally complete that godawful mess they call Planescape: Torment.. The Infinity Engine will most likely not be used in any new games. It's kind of obsolete technology now and I would think developers have moved past it since. Which is kind of odd, considering how many people seem to be craving another IE-game.
  19. And what makes you think you know one of the alts, but not the other..? In reality, you don't know who you're talking to, no matter what name the person takes on a message board on the internet, alt or not.
  20. Even worse then.
  21. Anyone want to bet on if Forsberg nets his first against the Montreal? I believe this is the game! He won't be goalless any longer!
  22. If you were born in the seventies you grew up with Commodore 64, NES, Amiga and Sega. The difference between working a Commodore 64 and Playstation 3 isn't that big, and it's probably easier to install and configure the PS3 than the C64. Lots of my friends have Playstation 2's and kids, and they won't have any problems getting the PS3 safely configured for their offspring. The leap from a generation without computers to a generation with computers is a lot bigger than the leap from a generation with NES to a generation with PS3.
  23. Remember, most people who were playing videogames in the eighties and nineties are the ones who are raising kids right now. In a few years, even more parents are less clueless to new technology than before. My mom never saw a computer when she was young. I've had a computer since the very early eighties myself (ZX Spectrum 48k!). The myth that parents are unable to understand their kids toys is quickly becoming obsolete.
  24. Yeah, we're not quite as fond if inbreeding in Sweden as you finns are. How's your cousin in bed, finn?
