Oh, and I just noticed that the Leafs won't play another gam until Thursday! That's quite a long rest. Let's hope Sundin is back by then.. )

Don't say that! Gothic 3 will r00lz teh univ3rs3!!1!

Hahaha! How many times can one person be wrong on the same forum? Is this fool trying to set a new world record or something? ) Definition of computer: Computer - A programmable device that performs mathematical calculations and logical operations, especially one that can process, store and retrieve large amounts of data very quickly. Now tell me.. which of these criterias does a 'console' not fulfill, Epiphany? You know nothing. NOTHING. Edit: One computer too many..

Maybe in your skewed world does one neutral thread about the CELL somehow negate all the PS3 bashing you've been vomiting over this forum for months. But not in the real world. Sorry, bud. Look up the word custom. There are free dictionaries on the internet! Imagine that. So you're still saying that hearing someone describe how a game looks that they've been able to play for hours on end is equal to a purposely handpicked ugly picture found on the net? Yup, foolish is the word. It's great graphics, but is it groundbreaking? Nope. It's the same old with slightly better graphics. Besides, we didn't discuss that game in particular, we discussed the Xbox 360 experience in general. You'll soon see what we mean when you get your greasy little hands on your own box.. Notice how I used the phrase "release date"? Another one of those long, difficult words, huh? Look, I'll help you: date - The point of time at which a transaction or event takes place, or is appointed to take place; a given point of time; epoch; as, the date of a battle. A specific day. I even marked the important parts in the text! Think you'll get it now? Spring != date. Who said the entire swedish gaming press hated it? The (almost) entire swedish gaming press said, "Huh? Was that all? Was that what Microsoft wants us to shell out $350-400 for? There's nothing new here..?". Noone hated it. The Xbox 360 just didn't live up to the hype.
-
No, actually he's not. Ever since that fumble where Salo let in a puck from the redline against Belarussia in the World Cup, he's been more of a joke in Sweden. He even retired a few months back because he thought everybody hated him. But he's back now in the best team in Sweden, after they lost Henrik Lundquist to the Rangers.

I knew I had read this somewhere! "PlayStation 3, I think, is going to be cheaper to develop for than the corresponding period of PS2 development." Source: http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=59243 Since it's a Sony spokesman stating that, take it with a grain of salt. I don't believe the numbers mentioned earlier in the thread either though. Edit: I hate typos.

Not sure if what the picture shows is a man or a woman? Look at the can! It's cider! Only women drink cider. There, settled.

Maybe Kiprusoff is a great goalie after all and not a one-season wonder? He used to play in the Swedish Elite League and was awesome there..

Voice recognition love or loathe ?
mkreku replied to ShadowPaladin V1.0's topic in Computer and Console
I would love it! There's a game called Singstar on the PS2, where you actually compete against each other to see who can sing the least false. It's not quite the same (not at all really), but it has made me see the fun in using your voice in games. It really enhances the gameplay. Voice recognition is also used in Mario Sunshine on the Gamecube, where there's a minigame where one player uses his voice to try to topple the other players down from platforms. Each platform has a picture of a fruit on it, and every time the voice master screams a fruit, the other players have to try and find platform that do NOT have that fruit on them, because the plaforms with the shouted fruit on them disappear. It works, although it is a lot more fun to yell anything ("BALLOON!!" "STEAK!!" "MERCEDES!!") because then noone knows which platform will disappear Edit: Typos. Lots and lots of typos. I even had to edit a typo in this edit text -
You said it, not me. But for once we agree. End of discussion.

Yeah, a 'typo'. Right. You've never tried to downplay the PS3 before either.. It's not a Geforce 7800, it is a new GPU based on a parent architecture. You won't get it this time either, but it is custom built. Guess we'll just have to wait and see. Well, except for you, who willingly swallows Microsoft's entire load without hesitating for a second. The entire swedish game press who were there weren't exactly thrilled over what they were shown by Microsoft. Not even after they got to lie in Joanna Dark's bed and play the game. Microsoft really tried to impress, but most of the journalists in the room just.. weren't (with a few exceptions of course.. mainly graphic whores). We're quite a small group where everyone knows each other, from PCGamer to the more obscure game sites/magazines, and from what we could tell, they won't be throwing roses over the Xbox 360 either. There just wasn't anything grondbreaking on display. And as usual you're talking about stuff you know nothing about. The only ones gushing over the next gen consoles are the hype machines of Sony and Microsoft. Oh, and the official Xbox and Playstation magazines.. Do you honestly believe that's how PS3 graphics is going to look like in general OR did you dig up the worst you could find to continue to troll, show your ignorance and prove nothing? And since when does one screenshot equal the same experience as lying in a specifically designed gaming room, a 40 inch LCD TV, mighty surround speakers, playing a next gen console with a super hyped launch title? The Playstation 3 doesn't have a release date yet. I don't even think the final hardware is finalized yet. And yet you're trying to prove something by saying there's no real screenshots of a game running from that machine..? It might be hard to imagine that your dream of a 'groundbreaking' machine is just hype, but that's how the Xbox 360 looks so far. From the ones who have actually touched and played it. Sorry.

Third win in a row for the Leafs (two last ones on the road!), and Lindros is HOTTTTT!!! Two goals and one hell of a game from him. Woo!

I can't believe how good rookie Alexander Steen is playing. He's now got points in 5 straight games! He's getting plenty of ice-time by Quinn (who is known for his love of veteran players), he plays well on the power play AND the penalty kill. He's developing into a clone of his father, the great two-way player Thomas Steen. And it helps that I really like his playing style.. Like a small Ovechkin (except better on defence).

Yeah, I've had the exact same idea. I've been dreaming of Microsoft releasing a 'Windows Light', with only the OS in the package. No browsers, no firewalls, no ftp, cd-burning, telnet, paint, messengers, notepads and other crapola's Microsoft forces onto me. Just a pure, clean OS. I'd buy it.

So you're implying that because the Xbox has shared memory, it will outperform an ordinary PC with the same 'stats' when it comes to gaming? Are you retarded? Do you honestly think that the shared memory is why a console is better at running games than a PC..? And then you accuse me of not knowing the difference between a console and a PC.. You're so far off it's not even worth trying to explain reality to you. Edit: Typos.

Not true at all. The RSX is not even the same architecture as the 6800 series. Where did you get that from? The closest relative to the RSX in the Nvidia family is the Geforce 7800 GTX. That's one generation later than the 6800. "The PlayStation 3

Brett Hull retiring..? Why?

Sundin is getting better.. uhm
-
Haha, I said in an earlier post today that I wished Allison was as hot as Lindros.. Allison tonight: 1 goal 2 assists! Leafs are looking GREAT right now!
-
I don't think you know Sundin. When he broke his ankle he was out 7 games. 7 games. He'll be back a lot sooner.
-
"Mats Sundin has been cleared to perform light workouts. But the Leafs captain remains uncertain as to when his eye injury will heal to the point where he can return to the ice. The good news for Sundin is that doctors, so far, have not prescribed corrective surgery. Unfortunately, vision out of his damaged left eye remains blurry, almost a week after he suffered his injury. "I can see you guys (media) but you're blurry, it's like a camera that's not in focus," said Sundin, at Leafs practice yesterday, autographing sticks for charity. "It's hard to tell any difference day to day right now. I haven't been told of any time period (for a return to the ice). I keep meeting with doctors, and we go from there."" Source: Some Toronto newspaper. Damn. He won't be playing the Atlanta Thrashers tonite

Hint: females on the internet seldom show themselves for one reason and one reason only. Guess which.
-
Lindros seems reinvigorated! The Big E has been crunching opponents along the boards like there's no tomorrow ever since he started wearing the white and blue. Too bad Allison doesn't seem as hot as Lindros. Oh well.

Really? So, if that was true, why isn't every computer in the world built with shared RAM, if it is so superior? You just don't understand anything beyond the hype of Microsoft, do you? The rest of the world must wait and see on this.. Except for Epiphany because he has read Microsoft's hype!!1!
