You think ~4% is "significant"? I don't. Yes, ~4% is scoffable. The "evidence" (where you yourself came up with NOTHING) says the difference is so small it's (probably) within the random/chance margin. But please feel free to come up with better and more reliable numbers to back up your statements, which so far are completely unsubstantiated. I know ATI had problems in the past (apparently before I started using my GPU) but from what I can tell they've been solved now. If you check out different sites where buyers can review their purchases (www.komplett.se and www.pricerunner.se for example) you'll see that the ATI cards are getting mostly raving reviews. What people usually complain about is that they're noisy, nothing else.

Does Kone ever come here and post? It sure would be nice to hear a word or two from him regarding the project.

It's not commonly accepted for me. But feel free to back up such statements with something a little more substantial. I did a google search for "Radeon overheating" (135.000 hits) and "Geforce overheating" (129.000 hits), and one for ATI/Nvidia driver problems (4.1 million/3.85 million) I did a search for that "saying" on google and got zero hits. Care to show me where you've seen such a saying?

Are you running in narrow corridors in the forest and get beat up by random encounters every third step?

I also like the original Gameboy Zelda (black & white!) but I managed to beat it! Woo me )

My Nvidia kept strangling my cat and setting my neighbours dog on fire Do you really think ATI would sell as well as they do if overheating or complete PC crashes were common..? Trust me, overheating problems are no more common on ATI than they are on Nvidia, unless everyone has already forgotten the debacle that was the release of the Geforce 5700..

What new games are you looking forward to?

I've had a chance to play -
The Leafs really need a win tonite.. About Ozolinsh: That defenseman should probably be renamed an offenseman. He's amazingly skilled in the offense and should probably have been a forward instead. He's not exactly a rock behind your own blueline.

I haven't played it but from what I read it sounded like a RPG, so I voted an uneducated YES.

I had a lot of problems with my Geforce card when I had more than one screen connected to it (driver problem, had to go back all the way to like.. 30.XX something). Since I switched to ATI I haven't had one single problem except that the shadows in Battlefield 2 looks like tiny triangles if you look at them closely. Useless brand loyalty for teh win.

A legendary tale of frustration, bad twitch skills.. and a werewolf!!

Being able to jump (and fall and climb and explore the environments freely and all that comes with jumping) is definitely a gameplay feature for me. I went from reviewing World of Warcraft to reviewing Guild Wars, and even if World of Warcraft is very restricted (jumping really has no function in that game) I just couldn't get into Guild Wars at all because I wasn't able to jump! It kills so much for me, seeing my character get stuck against a ledge that in real life would be comparable to a door step. Stuff like that immediately makes me hostile towards the entire game.

Hey, I remember when you had to start up games from DOS and use memory controllers to fit the start-up code within 640 KB. It was an eternal hunt for the smallest, most efficient mouse drivers. MODERN IS BETTER!

I checked out a few reviews of the 7900 and it seems it's about as strong as the X1900. It wins some and it loses some. I guess it doesn't matter which brand you choose if you are going for the absolute best the market has to offer. I also liked the look of the 7600 though. Great value for money and it could even hold its own in games like FEAR at high resolutions. Impressive.

Yes, because if you remove the cross-hair, you immediately get a true-to-life simulation of the events that took place on the eastern front in World War 2. The amount of hypocrisy is staggering. Go go soil erosion.

Gothic 3 is at the top of the list for me. Rogue Galaxy (for the Playstation 2) is another one I'm keeping a look-out for. Boiling Point 2 has been announced, but that is faaar away. Still interested. STALKER still has me pondering. I will at least check it out if it's ever released. And of course the 'naturals': Oblivion, Neverwinter Nights 2, Spore, Bioshock. Those are all I can remember off the top of my head. -
I would recommend G.R.A.W. if you're looking for a good game for your Xbox 360. It's gotten the best score of all the games I've seen so far and from the videos it looks great. Not sure if you enjoy that type of games, but still.. you can't be picky with a new console )

"Also players are different nowadays, during 80s and 90s games had to be challenging, now they must be easy and entertaining." I wonder if he's right.. It sure feels that way I guess that's why I feel most games of today are 'dumbed down' for the console crowd.

Ho hum, and we Leafs fans had to settle for a Richardson - Klee switch. I honestly don't know what they were thinking. Sure, if they had traded Aki Berg, I would have known (hrmm) but Klee has been solid. I don't know much about this Luke Richardson either, I guess I'll have to read up on him. I was expecting the Leafs to go after someone like Samsonov (Congratulations Oilers, that guy has some serious club skills), since they still believe they can make the playoffs and we lack skilled wingers like the desert lacks water. Instead they kept Belfour, they didn't do anything to 'youthen' up their roster and they didn't add anything powerful up front. Disappointing trade deadline for the Leafs.

Ok, now you're in trouble

It took me this long? Damn, you beat me to it with half a day.

The point is that you pretend not to care about our opinions and deny your obsessive behaviour over Planescape: Torment in the article, yet you provide "evidence" that Planescape: Torment is "teh bestest evah!!", evidence that you could probably find about almost any game if you looked long enough. Or better yet, just write it yourself.

Oh, look, a few lines firther down: http://www.gamespot.com/features/6128539/index.html "Click-click-click-click-click." Apparently Diablo is "great" enough to be on that list too.

It sure does for me!! Ok, hyperbole, but a world map or at least some kind of freedom in the game would do plenty to get me interested in yet another Final Fantasy game. I tried Final Fantasy X and that game just wasn't for me as it's so linear you could play it with your eyes closed. I know Oblivion will be very free-form so I'm not worried about that game.

I can't believe Ovechkin is only 1 goal behind the total goals leader (Jagr), fourth in the total points race and (naturally) leading the rookie race.. by 10 points and 13 (!!) goals. The kid is good.
