As much as I like Henrik Lundqvist, I really hope he has a really bad night tonite, for once.. That is, if he gets to play. Not so worried about Weekes, he's been more human.

Why do you hate YOUR country
I hate how the swedish government chickens out when it comes to the big issues. Instead of declaring our unconditional support to Denmark in the case of the Muhammed-pictures, we did nothing, which annoys me to no end. Our government forced a one minute silent minute for the 9/11 disaster, yet fails to force a similar silence for any other catastrophe that occurs around the world (G

The Leafs were very physical against Buffalo last night, and they really played a great game. It just wasn't their night as the killing shot was a lucky slap from behind the back on a rolling puck that went over the entire stretch of the ice and into the open goal of the Leafs. Unlucky, but that's the way the puck bounces sometimes.

PS3 release date
Ok, let us get this straight: MMO's are not free. Marketplace, sure, that's free. But what do you do there unless you actually pay for something? Trailers are free.. like they always have been and always will be off the internet. Xbox Live Arcade is not free. You pay to play those tiny little games, unless you play them as trial versions, you know, like demo's you can find on the internet.. for free.. Text and voice messaging.. All these "features" are already free everywhere else, of course they're going to be free with Live Silver! They're "selling" already free stuff by stating that it's free (duh), and people actually fall for that. Anyhow, I already summed up all that in my first post: You can call that "significantly more", I just don't agree. It is remarkably greedy of Microsoft to demand more money to let people play their already mega-expensive games online.

PS3 release date
What? So basically, the online component called Xbox Live Silver generously lets you play with yourself (pun intended)? Gee, thanks, once again. Please feel free to enlighten us just to what free services Xbox Live Silver offers and it'll be a much more rewarding read than what you added to the discussion so far.

PS3 release date
Sony has always had the strategy of letting the game developers deal with their own games' online components, and they sound like they're continuing this tradition. That means they'll let the publishers/developers use the infrastructure (for money), and then it's up to them if they want to charge their players for using the online components of the respective games. For a game like SOCOM (Playstation 2's answer to Battlefield) there most likely won't be a monthly fee. For games like Final Fantasy MMORPG, there will be. The ability to play online games without paying anything directly to Sony will also be there (according to the press releases). Besides, I put more trust in Sony's press conference and press releases than any unknown board members opinion/guess.

Good video card for
The only AGP card that stands out is the Geforce 7800 GS, but naturally that also stands out in price. Mikrodatorn (great swedish hardware magazine) tested low to midrange cards in this months number and the XFX Geforce 6600 GT won the "amount of points in 3DMark 2005 per swedish crown" contest. It's the best bang for your buck, so to speak. XFX GeForce 6600GT 256MB GDDR3, AGP8X, Tv-Out, Dual-DVI, Retail costs

Not true at all. Silver "subscription" (why do they bother calling it that?) doesn't allow you to do much more but to look at commercials for stuff you have to pay for. "Silver members begin by picking a gamertag, an online "handle," and building a gamer profile, just like Gold subscribers. Of course, Xbox Live is primarily an online multiplayer service, and you need an Xbox Live Gold Membership to do that. " With Silver I can create a gamer profile but I need Gold to actually play the games. Gee, thanks so ****ing much! Source: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/memberships/ The Sony Basic online service is supposed to allow you to play games online for free. That's a HUGE difference.

The "What were you playing 5 years ago" Thread
I took time off from computer games between the end of the Commdodore-era (1995) and when I just couldn't stop myself from getting a new computer (2002). I still played games occasionally though, as my mom is a huge fan of computer games and I live with her during winter break, and during summer I usually had access to my friends computers in the dorm I lived in, as I was the only one who stayed in town for summerjobs. It was cool, because everytime I played my mom's games it was adventure games (Grim Fandango, Longest Journey and so on) and my dormfriends had very differing tastes. One only had sports games (thank you, Eric, for introducing me to the NHL-games), one only played RPG's (thank you, Mikko, for showing me Icewind Dale) and two played mostly FPS (thank you, J

PS3: Everything We Know at 1up
Remember Sony sells lots and lots of DVD-movies right now. Imagine how many Blu-Ray DVD-movies they will sell when they get their players out on the market. It makes sense to me, this harddrive logic.

Also, you might wanna give the guy a break. He's only played a couple of times with the new team, in a new city. I am sure he'll settle in just fine and start producing as normal in a few games.
