I think I saw my first obvious example of the Radiant AI yesterday. I was fighting in Oblivion, trying to close one of the portals (just for fun, because I happen to think it's fun) when I ran into one of those Dremora mages. We were on top of the portal tower and there were several of those red teleporters there. Anyhow, I ran up to the mage and started smacking him with my sword, and he summoned one of his beasties. Nothing new so far. But then he suddenly ran into a teleporter and teleported away! I didn't see which teleporter he chose, so I stayed and sliced his summon to pieces instead. The instant the summon died, the mage teleports back, summons yet another (even stronger) creature and teleports away again! This time I see which teleporter he chooses so I follow him, only to have him teleport away again the second he sees me. When I teleport back, he is hiding behind his huge summoned beast. I finally beat him up, but that was one of the best fights so far in Oblivion for me. Edit: Spelling.

I'm still playing Oblivion and I scored it 90% in my review. Two other reviewers in our staff scored it 10/10 and one scored it 8/10 because he had to run it in 640x480 on what he considers a pretty new computer.

Ok, I could use some armour for my unicorn (that would be my next playthrough). But pay for such a minor upgrade? Ok, if they had done something about the balance in the game, or add more quests. Perhaps a few new spells or unique items.. But horse armour only? It's not a lot of money, but it still feels like paying for basically nothing.

The Leafs only have to win like.. 7 of their last 9 games if they want to make it to the playoffs. Oh, and the competing teams have to start losing some games. GREAT ODDS, I THINK I'LL GO BET MY LIFE SAVINGS ON IT.

The final quest in the thieves guild was good. Oh, and there are lots and lots of magic arrows in Oblivion. I always sell mine (Daedric arrows for teh win!11) but you'll eventually find arrows with silence spells, with 20 additional fire/ice/shock damage, arrows that light up the area where they hit (very cool) and so on. Now that I think about it, I don't know why I keep selling off my magic arrows. It must be to clean up the inventory..

Well, I am only in my twenties in marksmanship, but my blade skills are 100. It's entirely possible to sneak up to a necromancer and either kill him in one hit (awesome!) or sneak up on something tougher and actually get several backstabs on him. Sneak up, get 6x damage, sneak away.. sneak back up, get 6x damage again and so on. Kind of unrealistic but highly satisfying.

Haha, I am a stealth character too. I guess all the talk about one of the original Thief-designers working on the game got to us all.

I miss the good old days (before level 10) when I actually had to struggle for septims.. By the time I reached level 20 I had bought every house in Tamriel and fully equipped them too and still had 100k septims in my pocket (which must be huge by now). That's what you get for throwing 10k septims worth of equipment at you in every autobalanced random encounter in the world!!

I wouldn't mind the scaling.. if my character could at least 'outrun' the enemies leveling at some point )

That was an oddly neutered list. No Gothic 3? I am seriously worried about Gothic 3. I've seen pictures from the latest build, and it just doesn't look good! They've taken the art in a new direction to make the orcs more human-like, but the original artwork for Gothic/Gothic 2 is some of the best I've seen and this new style just isn't as appealing to me. I am hoping it looks the way it does because the pictures are quite early.. just as I hoped the brown blandness of the pictures I saw from Morrowind was before it was released. Oh well, I have Oblivion at least, which turned out to be so much better than I had anticipated. Even the manual is good this time! Edit: .

7-0. Now that's a score I'd like to see more often ) I notice that Edmonton isn't doing too good tonight.

I thought the game was rather difficult at my level (43 I think), but then I suddenly maxxed out my light armour skill and gained 50% armour from that alone. Now the daedra lords can't touch me anymore! I must say the game became more fun when it's a bit easier and every fight doesn't take 10 minutes any longer. I am now a master of the blade, master of light armour and master of armourer. Closing in on mastering speechcraft and block too, soon. Then I won't be able to level anymore. But I am currently working on getting my butt into the mage academy so I'll be able to continue to boost my stats the enchantment way. I'm still having fun, it's insane.

Uh.. ok. I am level 42 now (or something) and I have gotten ONE (count'em) +5 raise. Maybe the last 8 levels is where I'll need them, but so far I've done good with my +2 (most common) and +3 (second most common). You guys worry too much about that stuff. Enjoy the game instead. You didn't mention if you had AGP or PCI-Express, but I am sure it comes in both flavors anyhow.

Gothic 2 is one of my all time favourite games.. )
