I try not to look so much at the pictures from Gothic 3. For some reason they always disappoint me, even though they look graphically advanced and all that. I really liked the "old" style of the orcs and environments better so it'll take some getting used to to enjoy the new style in Gothic 3.

C#.. C my ass. It's object oriented Visual Basic.

Peugeot 207 I'm not exactly dreaming about it, but it's a very cool car in the sport version.

It's not such a bad deal after all. Sure, Pronger is good now, but look at all the ph4t 1007 Edmonton got out of the deal, especially in the coming years. I think it'll turn out alright, or even better than alright, in the long run.

Cool. I also need to pick up GTA: Liberty City Stories. Feels like I'm slacking when it comes to gaming. But Sweden has been blessed with such wonderful weather, the girls are even prettier, blonder and more scantily-clad than ever and there's football on the TV. I blame those things.

So.. how is it? I've been thinking about picking up this game, but since it's EA I'd rather hear a lot of good user reviews first..

If Sony was that early with the tilt controller, why are people now all of a sudden claiming they stole it from Nintendo? Wouldn't it be Nintendo stealing it from Sony in that case? I read a rumour about Sony trying add the tilt function into the PSP but they couldn't fit it. If that's true, they've been thinking about using the technology for a while already.

Trying to fit a Ford engine into a Toyota chassi isn't easy, no matter how much you've driven both cars before or how old the car models are. It's still a new procedure, no matter if the technology has been there before or not. And who's to say that the technology they've adapted isn't new? There's quite a difference between the engine in the T-Ford and the one in the Toyota Prius.

For Sony it is, so your argument by nature is flawed.

I can't complain about the signings the Leafs have done these last few days. Gill is.. big. I hope he's mobile enough too. We'll see. Pavel Kubina is an excellent defenseman, but is he really worth $5 million per year? I doubt it. I guess it's the players market once again.. Now all we need are some scoring wingers.. Like just about every other team in the NHL.

Aliens with three eyes feel more comfortable looking at a tallscreen because then they can rest one of their eyes and still look at the standing screen, which is more natural to them.

My girlfriend's grandma bought herself an Irish Wolfhound recently. She wrote an email to my girlfriend today about everyday stuff, but also mentioned that she was somewhat surprised that the dog (which is only a few months old) was already as big as their old, recently passed-away dog.. It immediately made me think of this: http://www.bofunk.com/video/511/a_big_dog_...e_old_lady.html Although the dog in the video is a Grand Dane, it's about the same size. This is an Irish Wolfhound (mature): Imagine an old lady fastened by a leash to that thing..

I don't remember if I still have my review copies of Doom 3 somewhere, or if I gave them away as a christmas present to someone. I'll go have a look when I get home.. Co-op can make almost any game fun!

Uhm.. What is it with people and all these anti-Sony rumours? Why is it that everything bad about Sony is immediately believable and not vice versa? I'm not really a Sony fanboi, but everywhere I go I find myself defending Sony over people's own stupidity. It's getting tiresome. Sony didn't add a "halfbaked motionsensing tech" to their controller just before E3. It usually takes a lot longer than a few months (from Nintendo's revelation to E3) to develop and test a new technology. When Sony representatives said they had been developing the tech for 2.5 years it sounded much more likely, since they had working prototypes that actually looked like the near-finished design at E3. Strangely enough, that little newsbit apparently avoided everyone's attention and everyone hopped on the hate-Sony-bandwagon instead. Source: http://www.mcvuk.com/newsitem.php?id=1073 Yeah, yeah, I know: Sony are liars and the Microsoft employees (Nintendo employees would never do such a thing, would they?) that probably started the rumours are right. As usual. About the copying thing: they're both right and wrong. Every business giant copies their competitors most successful moves. They'd be stupid otherwise.

I'm still trying to swallow the fact that the Leafs just wasted $30 million on McCabe.. Imagine the real defenseman you could get for that amount of money! At least we held onto Kaberle (the best defenseman in Toronto.. not that that says a lot lately..). Why is it that every team in the league manage to improve their teams with exciting trades while the Leafs end up with all the 40 year old has-beens?! Not only that, they usually manage to pay them $5 million for their retirement season where they end up playing 15-20 games. Rumours are saying that Gary Roberts wants to come back to the Leafs! With my luck they WILL sign that 40 year old wreck.. for $5 million. And trade away Steen in the same deal.

It's a really crappy translation. If you're wondering why it doesn't make sense it's because the translator is probably some 14 year old kid from the same chat channel..

It isn't working for you ANYHOW.. Nice chatlog, Llyrafool! I wonder if the spells are customizable too? I mean, is it possible to make a spell that rains down burning dogs on people? Like the one we saw in Oblivion.. I'm not sure I've understood just what is possible to create yourself as opposed to what you're forced to use from the game's premade assets.

What?! Noone managed to see my crappy movie? Damn, my mega-bomb has no witnesses

Here's how you blow people up (Warning! Appr. 3 MB file): (Let's hope it works..)

Yes, because it's cheaper and more flexible. Also, I hate the idea of Vista.. I just wish there were alternatives. And YES, I think game developers are irresponsible. There are plenty of examples of game developers that are able to release Linux versions (or Linux compatible versions) of their games, without actually expanding their budget beyond reasonable levels. It's the choice of using only DirectX GL that's the big mistake, and it's what removes Linux as a choice for me, as a games reviewer. Everything else is ready for me to use in Linux (although with a rather steep lurning curve), except games. Who should I blame? The unidentified faceless mass of consumers? Useless. If game developers made Linux a viable option, I am sure even that slow moving mass of consumers would start looking at Linux in a different light.
-
Oh, when I get home I'm going to show Darque the coolest way of blowing people up.. ) Uh.. In the game. Hitman: Blood Money. Not in real life
-
As soon as Linux handles games properly, I'm switching. I wish all developers took their responsibility seriously and made all their games OS-independant. I just don't understand why they all keep solidifying Microsoft's monopoly on the OS-market, without even getting paid by Microsoft for it. It seems stupid.

Geez, a full page of useless spam.. all with the sign MODERATOR on them

I'm so happy I could cry! I thought I was the only one who ever played/heard of this game. Although I vastly preferred Questron 2 before Questron.. But still :'( So nice..

Hall of Fame.. Bah. Hall of Reward-Every-Nobody-Off-The-Street-For-Whatever-Lame-Ass-Reason more like it. Geez, the names that have been inducted in recent years..
