Geckling Diaries
System Information for Windows: http://www.gtopala.com/siw_download.html A free application that doesn't have to be installed (can be run from floppy, USB memory stick, CD or whatever) that shows you absolutely everything you need to know about your system. Great program.

Nvidia GeForce 8800GTX (DX10)
I'm damn impressed with what I've read so far about the 8X00 series (except perhaps size and power needs..), but I'm quite happy with my X1950XTX so far (I only game at 1280x1024) and I wouldn't make a purchase before seeing what the R600 is all about. I love when both companies release new generation cards and the war starts up again! ) Of course, I won't be getting any of these babies until there's actually some use for DirectX10.

Yeah. And I hate it.

NHL
I know that Boston might not be the most terrifying opponents this season, but it's still nice to get a win even without our captain. And on away ice, no less! And why can't I stop smirking about the hole the Flyers are currently in? It's like.. this is the first time ever that Forsberg is not on a winning team, surrounded by star wingers. And it shows! It's mean, but I'm quite happy to see him struggle a bit. For once

Sudden reboot woes...
I would have recommended Tagan (if you have lots of cash), Cooltek or Antec myself.. But I've never used a LC-Power, it might be good.

Just got Gothic 3...
Oh yeah, they fixed the memory leak/save game problem: http://www.gothic3.com/index.php?do=097099...099101110101061 Now, if only they would release the last (?) patch so I could begin playing the damn game. I still haven't even installed it.

Antivirus and framerates
Correct. If these were charts based on tests conducted by Eset. But they're not. These are charts taken from tests conducted by Virus Bulletin, an independent source. You can of course choose to not believe them either, but I see no reason not to. Eset simply brags about those tests on their page. I would do too, seeing as how well they're doing in them.

In America, we are electing our Congressmen
Sweden's largest newspaper has a poll on how the swedish people would vote: 75% would vote for the democrats. 10% would vote for the republicans. 15% wouldn't vote at all/would vote blank.

Antivirus and framerates
One antivirus that's extremely unobtrusive and doesn't hog your system resources is called Eset NOD32 Antivirus System. It's very efficient, extremely quick and actually quite cheap! If you buy it online from their own store, that is. They have a 30 day demo for you to try out, to see if you like it. I'm sure you will, as it is perfect for gamers. Not only is it MUCH smaller than most of the AV's out there, it's also very easy to turn off if need be. You probably won't have to though, since it's so small and discrete. Highly recommended! Edit: Found a comparison against the top names in the AV business: http://www.eset.com/products/compare.php Check out the speed and footprint graphs!

Sudden reboot woes...
I had the exact same problem. Sometimes my computer would just throw me to the desktop from any application without explanation (this was rare) and most often it would just restart the entire system, like a hard reboot. I solved it by buying a really expensive 600W PSU. It would definitely be my first guess for you too. Of course, I only had a 350W PSU before, but if your PSU is a bad quality one, it might not be able to supply enough amps on one of the rails (most probable for the GPU since it crashes during games and movies).

Games you are looking forward to
Oh yeah, I am looking forward to STALKER. Again. Like I did in.. was it 2003? And 2004. And 2005. And 2006. And I still will be in 2007. Anyhow, this is what got my Chernobyl gears churning again: http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=69681

Stop encouraging the bot.- Video Card Upgrade
You should get a Radeon X1950 Pro, which can be found for under $200. It's an excellent card and excellent value for your buck. If you want a rather more professional take on video cards in your price range: http://www.tomshardware.com/2006/10/31/the...oney/page2.html- NWN2: Forumite Impressions
