I tried it. It was buggy, the graphics were bad (bas as in the characters were indistinguishable from the backgrounds) and the interface was not very intuitive. I could have lived with all that if the game had been as gripping as JA2. It wasn't.

Why they just didn't develop the Silent Storm engine further (to allow a few more features and BIGGER MAPS) is beyond me. That's the best 3D engine I've seen for strategic games like Jagged Alliance.

One has a school shooting per week, one has not. Pardon me for claiming one is wiser and more right. If it's not the easy availability of guns, then what is it? What is so fundamentally different about the American mindset that guns are a non-factor in the equation? So far in this thread you've all been pinning the blame on mentally disturbed people. Since you have many more shootings, something IS different, that much is clear. Logically (according to YOUR logic) since it's not the amount of guns that causes it, it must be the amount of mentally ill people. Are you saying Americans are more mentally ill than other people in the world? Is it your health care system that's failing? Are Americans just more perceptible to mental illnesses?

So it's illegal to own a handgun in ONE city. Five miles away it's not. What do you think this proves? It only proves that your police force suck at what they do, nothing else.

There is no need for a separate soundcard these days. Even GPU's come with built-in sound processors now (to be able to send both sound and picture through HDMI).

I finished a computer lab in under 0x78 minutes last night. I was quite impressed with myself. Then I reinstalled World of Warcraft and tried a free server. Is that illegal on my part? I mean, I have the original World of Warcraft (was sent to me as a review copy) so I haven't downloaded anything.. Anyhow, I just wanted to see what had changed and if it would be worth it to go back and play some. I don't know though, because apparently you need the Burning Crusade expansion to be able to get the new stuff. Boo.

No no, why would any sane person draw the conclusion that the (civilized) country with the most lax gun laws in the world AND the most guns per capita in the world would have the most gun-related crimes in the world? It can happen anywhere!! It just.. doesn't. Of course, this could have been avoided if they only had handed out more guns. I mean, what if the teacher had a M16 on his desk?! NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED! Or if every student was required to bring at least one hand grenade each to class? NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED! More guns is ALWAYS the solution, because that's what's written on a 200 year old sheet of paper that's the US only "relevant" piece of historical document.

I ordered Puzzle Quest through GamersGate. The game did not work when I got it downloaded and installed. I browsed the official forums for a solution and it turns out that Puzzle Quest had an installer built into the package, but the people at Gamersgate ripped that off and replaced it with their own ugly installer.. and forgot to add two DLL-files. I don't think I'm going to use GamersGate again.

Your computer sucks, get a new one. It runs fine on mine and even great after the patch, even though I had to restart the entire adventure from scratch (which was kind of annoying seeing as I was level 75+ with only a few broken steps of the main quest to go..). I haven't had a Guru crash or Stack overflow crash since installing 1.6. By the way, try running an unpatched version of Gothic 3 first and then install the 1.6 patch, if you think it doesn't do anything! I'm getting 10-15% better framerates, a lot less stuttering, improved loading/saving times and a BILLION little odd bugs removed.

Oh oh, I remember that fight! First you fought some lame dude that called himself Tyranithraxus.. and the game didn't end. I was like 15 years old or something and could not figure out what I had done wrong. I think it took me THREE YEARS to find that bloody hidden room with the real Tyranthraxus! And once I got in there it turns out all the evil aligned characters in my party betrays me and joins up with Tyranithraxus.. It was like.. 15 against three. Best end fight ever! Unfortunately Curse of the Azure Bonds is not even half the game that Pool of Radiance is. Secret of the Silver Blades isn't nearly as well done either, even though the interface becomes better the longer the series continues. Pools of Darkness was OK though. You should try the Dragonlance series too. I used to love that as a kid. They were mostly about fighting hordes of really deadly enemies with your band of Knights. Still good games though. They also happened to have the best box-art ever in the history of mankind.

Now that I think about it, Bethesda really should have taken a long, hard look at STALKER when designing Fallout 3. That world is absolutely fantastic as a post-nuclear example. Actually, they could have ripped off the weapon sounds and monster designs and Russian guys playing guitar around campfires too..

Lucky Leafs face Ottawa again. At least Ottawa aren't nearly as hot as they were for the first half of the season.
