  1. Tetris. A game that relies solely on gameplay is timeless. Trust me, the Fallout's are not timeless. Unfortunately, neither is my favourite game of all time, Wasteland. Practically unplayable today.
  2. I'm slightly curious about the Russian update of the old (and I mean OLD) Commodore 64 classic King's Bounty: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/30178.html Looks lovely so far. But if my prejudices have anything to say about it, the game will be marred by really weird UI design decisions, badly translated dialogue and voice acting so horrible it'll make your ears bleed.
  3. I agree. I've always thought Fallout would be great in first person perspective (or third person over-the-shoulder). I think STALKER proved that it can be done in an incredibly atmospheric way. Let's hope Bethesda fulfills at least some of the potential this game has.
  4. It's here: They have it in store at Komplett.se. Now let's see how this rather expensive beast reviews.
  5. By the way, 3DMark has a pretty helpful up-to-date website to determine which piece of equipment gives the best bang for the buck: http://www.yougamers.com/hardware/stats/3d...andperformance/ It's updated live (so to speak) from the data sent in by everyone using their software. I guess the 8600 GT Silent Edition I bought for my mom wasn't such a crappy purchase after all..

And the Leafs are back in their losing ways. They CAN'T AFFORD TO LOSE THESE TIGHT GAMES ANYMORE!!
  7. Haha, I'm exactly the same :D

We won! Four out of the last five, baby! Captain Clutch joins Maurice Richard on the all-time scoring list at 544 goals scored with his game winner with 30 seconds left of the game :D Ovechkin is amazing though. He's scores nearly 30% of his teams goals. Scored his 39'th of the season against us tonight..
  9. OK, definitely add Far Cry 2 to my list of games I'm eagerly looking forward to! http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/farcry2/...;om_clk=topslot Great write-up of an interesting game! And it's out on PC first!
  10. That is really weird and the first I've ever heard about it. I am pretty sure I've been getting a lot higher fps than that.. By the way, I also bought that damn box. I now have two versions of Gothic 3 and THREE versions of Gothic 2. Nice to see more people discovering the Gothic games though! Go jags!

Yes, because 5 points doesn't sound like much when you just say "5 points" like a moron. But if you realize that you have to out-pace the rest of the teams in the run for the playoffs by 5 points for the remainder of the season, the task at hand suddenly comes into a clearer view. The Leafs must keep winning. Not only that, they must keep winning at a more consistent pace than the rest of the teams.
  12. http://www.dailytech.com/GeForce+9600GT+Be...rticle10397.htm Early benchmark of a member of the ninth generation of GPU's. It sounds promising if this is just the mid-range card and it outscores the 8600 by 100%. The 9800 will probably be a monster..

And the Leafs win their third straight. I should be cheering but I think it's too little, too late. We're still a long way from the playoffs.
  14. We're running Norton at the place where I work. On over 100 computers none have any problems because of the antivirus. And we've just un-installed and re-installed a new version of Norton. The main problem with Norton is that it's resource heavy and inefficient (takes a looong time to scan a hard drive). It's not buggier than most other antivirus programs out there.
  15. I use NOD32 at home. It's cheap and it won some security tests in Swedish computer magazines (and around the world). I tried Kaspersky a few years back, but that program grew and grew and now it basically just takes over your computer and, if you're lucky, it sometimes lets you play with it.
  16. This one is a little unusual (it's actually Pandemic Studios in a few of their developer's diaries over at Eurogamer), but they're hilarious. http://www.eurogamer.net/tv_video.php?play...ream_flv1_large I love the part when he "gets into it" and the ping pong balls start flying :D

Oops, our Captain got off easy against San Jose: A shove like that would have led to a few missed games in the Swedish Elite League. Another Swedish hockey player made a gesture the other night (pulled his hand along his own neck, mimicking a cutting knife) and got suspended indefinitely, awaiting a decision. Another player once got suspended for an entire year (!) for shoving a referee, albeit much harder than Sundin's shove.

We have ONE bright spot in our dark and dismal season. Please keep your greasy mitts off of him.

Well, neither Shanahan nor Jagr are themselves this season. That accounts for some of the underachieving. But they added Drury and Gomez, right? I thought those guys would have a much bigger impact than they've showed so far. But the Rangers have always been weird that way. Still, they're not nearly as bad as my Leafs. We're redefining the term "being in the cellar" right now. We're not stopping for rock bottom!!
  22. I saw Karka was playing Hard To Be A God in another thread.. It looked lovely. Wanna share a little about that game with the rest of us? Is it good? And where did you get it?

A trade like that would kill me. Unless they resign him in the summer. I really want to see Mats retire in our blue sweater.
  24. No no, naked, pink birds that sounds just like chicken are never silly! Go Gothic!

Funny that I just read this: http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=90215 I know someone who won one of those sets in a competition. Looked pretty cool to me.
