  1. I've been meaning to replay Gothic 3 one of these days..
  2. The disappointment that was the ATI Radeon 2900XT has a 512 bit interface and the memory is clocked at 1.65GHz. It's bandwidth beats that of the 8800GTX. On paper that GPU should have been a beast. I still don't understand what holds it back..

Sometimes I just hate hockey. Leafs lead 2-0 for 57.30. Then they suddenly let in two goals, the last one with less than 30 seconds to go. Then they lose in overtime to top it all off!
  4. They really need to start hiring moderators with less PMS problems. The type that doesn't think they're being "harassed" whenever someone is joking. Oh, and they REALLY need to hire moderators that aren't offended by folded pieces of paper. ****, they need to hire ME as a moderator. I'd be so ****ing good at moderating.
  5. How fast the GPU can communicate with the RAM, the memory interface. It's usually measured in some amount of bits. <128 bit is bad. 256> bit is good. Something like that.
  6. My girlfriend loves Kingdom Hearts. If that tells you anything.
  7. Sony has lots of different models, ranging from Intels crappy integrated graphics to high-end Nvidia cards AND they also have some systems with both: The Hybrid Graphics System! That means you can switch between one lowly Intel GPU when you want to preserve power and just surf or something, and when it's time for gaming you switch to the high-end part! Clever solution. I also happen to think they're the most aesthetically pleasing laptops around at the moment..
  8. I would suggest a Sony Vaio of some kind. They have like a billion different models, in carbon fibre casings. Extremely nice, but costly. http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores...ategoryId=16154
  9. Hmm.. I think I have quite a lot of games to look forward to in 2008.. But I keep forgetting them whenever I try to make a list! Hmph, I'll try again: GTAIV The Precursors White Gold Borderlands Dead Island Piranha Bytes next RPG (may slip to 2009..) Fallout 3 ..and so on. Looks good enough for me!

Toronto won again! Also, I saw a pig fly by my window today. He was holding a snowball and was on his way to hell.
  11. THat's.. a pretty interesting and unusual choice. Nice.
  12. I made it just past the volcano level, killed the good doctor, then opened the door behind him and saw a giant room filled with trigens that I had to cross and I said, OK that is enough of that, and stopped playing. You stopped playing like.. one minute before the end
  13. I was at the Blue Mountains this summer. But I wasn't allowed to mount the Three Sisters. Aboriginal holy place or some such. I only saw one aboriginal there. He was drunk and wanted me to give him some money.
  14. Ah yes the manwhore game. Where the main character is able to screw every woman that crosses his path. You're right. It's more of a life simulator than a RPG.
  15. No no, The Witcher had the best "relationships". That's the way to do it if you're so keen on having relationships in your game.
  16. A game that almost always slips under my radar is Borderlands: http://www.eurogamer.net/tv_video.php?playlist_id=6378 It has the potential to be something cool. I like the Mad Max apocalyptic style..
  17. Wasteland.. or Gothic.. or Deus Ex..

And the Leafs win again! I actually consider this one long win streak since they just had the unlucky break of running into Alex Auld, the hottest goalie in the league right now, in their only (one goal!) loss in the last 5 games :D
  19. Hey, I remember Outcast! It was that awesome game filled with lovely, lovely voxels :D I remember a petition about some Outcast 2.. Maybe Totems is that project? Oohh, I'm getting giddy again!
  20. I like to explore worlds. Up until recently, the only games that ever let me explore vast spaces of the unknown were RPG's (started back in the day with Ultima, Pool of Radiance, Questron, Wasteland etc..). Nowadays there are even shooters (Boiling Point although some would probably call it an RPG also, Far Cry, Crysis), action adventures (the GTA series mainly) and racing games (Test Drive Unlimited) that let me do these things. Combine the exploration with a gripping story, memorable characters and a character development system that sits in the background and shuts up (no D&D for me, that is!) and you've got the ingredients to make me drool. Oh, and boobs.
  21. The best card for desktop computers right now is the Geforce 8800 Ultra. Only because it's the fastest. It's also a giant hole to pour money into. It's not really worth what it costs when compared to (for example) the 8800 GT or the ATI Radeon 3870. The best card for notebooks should be the 8800M GTX. I haven't read up on it, but it's bound to be extremely fast (and power hungry). Noone knows that the future will bring, but judging from this current generation, chances are that the 9800 (bound to arrive this February) will rock ATI's socks. I'm hoping ATI will make a huge comeback by then (as they are releasing their unnamed high-end part at the same time) as Nvidia needs competition to perform. I mean, the 8800 Ultra (which is just an overclocked 8800 GTX) is a year old by now! Without competition they just don't care.

    Oh, and this! Hahaha! :D
  23. First of all: I hate you and your family and your dog for not playing Deus Ex until now. Second: it might be a timing problem with your AMD CPU. I'm not sure if you have a dual core processor, but some games experience problems with AMD's dual core timings. There's some sort of patch you can download to try and fix it: http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/Techni...1_13118,00.html (It's the AMD Dual-Core Optimizer link)
  24. My guess would be too much porn. Wipe your screen.
