  1. So pretty much half of the people here on these forums have some sort of brain dysfunction? I always suspected as much.
  2. I'm so glad Fallout 3 is on its way :D

How about winning the shots 56 to 30-something and STILL lose the game in the waning minutes of the third? That's the Leafs for you. Again I'm reduced to pleasuring myself in the Captain's statistical prowess..

Swedish juniors lost to the defending champions Canada in sudden death. But I must say they played well above expected! Great tournament by the Swedish youngsters! It's been a pleasure watching the games. And it's not often that a Swedish junior team outmuscles a Canadian team It was fun to see. Remember the name Victor Hedman (even if he had one crappy game tonight..). You'll be seeing a lot more of him in the NHL in 4-5 years.
  5. The difference between the PS3 models aren't as drastic as the Xbox equivalents. I mean, you can easily replace the hard drive yourself since it's a standard 2.5" drive anyhow. The size of the hard drive doesn't really matter because of that. Then there are ports (card readers and USB) that differ but they, too, are of no dramatic consequence for the user (card readers are not used in games and who cares if there are two or four USB ports?). I would be much more annoyed to have bought an Xbox 360 without a HDMI port.. The biggest difference between the PS3 models is probably that one model supports PS2 games and the rest don't. In Sweden there have only been two models for sale anyhow: The 60 GB model and the newer (cheaper) 40 GB model. What I think Microsoft failed with the Xbox is that they didn't have a hard drive in all their models. That means all games must support the core version and NOT take full advantage of a hard drive.

Following the Leafs is like chewing glass every night.
  7. I don't care what you choose to call it, but my point still stands: the latter parts of Jade Empire lacks dialogue, story and narrative (compared to the first part of the game). It's just jumpy combat scenario after jumpy combat scenario until you reach the end boss and kill it in three hits with the Jade golem. The combat is just a matter of pressing jump a lot and hitting two other buttons (hit fast or hit hard). If there's a shield, hit hard, otherwise hit fast. Something like that. I forget. Very forgettable, repetitive and tactic-less. There's also no inventory and no paper-doll to dress up, just a weapon (that you never have to change) and some crystals. The entire game is also very American in its style: very polished and "flawless" but cookie-cutter and without surprises and/or anything out of the ordinary.

Apparently we won one again! Not that I noticed since my system was probably full of alcohol when the game was on.
  9. Jade Empire SE was a disappointment. First part was OK, the middle was good.. but then it all just fell down to worthless. Last parts of the game was just so.. unfinished, unbalanced and boring. I can't understand how people can rate this so highly. Will be interesting to see what Bioware will turn into now though. What kind of effect will EA have on the upcoming games?
  10. I made a swordsman. HE SUCKS
  11. I don't think Bok gets turned on by ATI at the moment.. or ever.
  12. Holy crap, I got bored of Project Origin just by looking at those dull screenshots
  13. So there's no difference between Wasteland and Baldur's Gate then? Yeah, in name only It's so old trying to reduce the discussion to a question of semantics. It's not.
  14. More games like Wasteland, please. No magic, no elves, no crap. Just a big bunch of AK-47's, a few RPG's and a pack of killable mutants. I'm sick to DEATH of D&D, fantasy and magic in all forms.
  15. I'm playing a character in my mom's boyfriend's Hellgate: London account. He's not used to these types of games so I've alredy passed him in levels. And even though it's a horribly shallow and simplistic game, it's quite fun. I hate the randomized levels without a point and the combat is kind of clunky and awkward (playing a sword wielding.. thing) but it has a strange pull on me even so. Weird. I'm not buying a copy once I get home to my own apartment in two days though. Not that good.
  16. I was supposed to attend a dinner party tonight but my car ran away so I missed it. Oh, and about the women.. I'm probably one of the ugliest ****ers here, yet I have a super-hot girlfriend. Unless you're talking about a total bimbo, looks aren't very important. A fat wallet is.

I.. I think we won one!
  20. Woo! This might make me actually finish the game! I mean, I bought the COLLECTOR'S ****ING EDITION after all. I don't know what it is with me nowadays, but I just can't stand excessive loading times whenever I enter a building or other. I want ALL games to be like my precious Gothic's!
  21. Yes, I found all "books" (four recipes in each, meaning 12 recipes..). Yes, I found the Imbuing weapons book (three more). I also found Sam's guide to Demon Oil and the newbie torn page (which is a recipe that's in one of the books..). That means we have roughly sixteen recipes throughout the entire game. They all only need TWO ingredients ever. I haven't waited. I registered there yesterday and am now composing a gigantic first post

  23. At least we got rid of the PMS mess that spammed us with 10,000 one-smiley posts. No names mentioned. Incognito.

    Ruutu is funny.
  25. I bought myself an early Christmas present recently: Eschalon Book I. It took a few hours but I've completed it already. That's because of two things: 1. The game is tiny. It's short, has few side-quests, not much map area to explore and so on. 2. It's excellent and addictive. It really has that fantastic old school feel of the early Ultima's or Wasteland's! I love it! I just wish it had been a little bigger, a little longer and a little more.. realized. There's a cool alchemy system in it.. but it's wasted because there are almost no recipes to be found. The cartography skill is pure genius (why didn't anyone think of that before?!).. but it isn't really used anywhere, except to draw more colourful maps for you as a player, not for your character in-game (imagine if they had hidden clues to some obscure quest in the colour coding of the world map..). The Spot Hidden skill is there.. but it's not used in any clever ways. You find a few gems and a few caches of gold and that's it. It could have been used to add descriptions for people who are interested in the lore of the lands, for example. The equipment in the game is dull, lacks unique items (almost) and they're being dispersed the Oblivion way (higher player level equals better l00t). Et cetera. I wish I had a direct line to the developers of this little gem. There are so many tiny improvements they could make that would make this game so much better. Still a great game though! Whoever it was who mentioned Eschalon: Book I to me on these forums (ramza?): THANK YOU! I'm actually replaying it right now with a different character. That does NOT happen very often.
