  1. Good motherboard, CPU is the same as the 8400, just clocked lower (which is not a problem since you seem interested in overclocking it yourself), the memory.. Hmm. I'd personally go for 4 GB (more future proof), slower transfer speed (6400) and faster latency (4 instead of 5). Perhaps the Corsair TWIN2X 6400C4DHX DDR2, 4096MB Kit w/two CL4 2GB Dimm's. They should cost about the same as the ones you chose. Corsair's memory modules are usually pretty good for overclocking too, if you want to go higher than 800 MHz.
  2. Kind of looking forward to Burnout Paradise for the PC. Check out this video: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/33825.html "Burnout Paradise for PC can run at a breathtaking double-wide resolution of 3840x1200." Now there's something for Bokishi's rig to handle. Need more monitors though!

    Red Wings look scary good.
  4. Too late! The game White Gold will already be using a PDA/Smart phone for stuff like this. We even had this exact same discussion over at their board, which is when I made this (pretty lame) picture: I was trying to show them how I imagined it would look like in-game.. Notice how I also happened to use the Iphone as the example.
  5. Maybe the Euphoria engine (last seen in GTA4)? The one that "makes Storm troopers hold hands"?
  6. Pretty. ****ing. Ironic.
  7. Gee, what a shocker. The same people who are like "this will never be a Fallout game in anything but the name!!1!" are crying about every little bit of new information slipping out about the game. Don't you guys ever get tired of explaining to the world how hardcore you are and how stupid everyone else is for enjoying something new?

Looking pretty good for the Red Wings tonight. Turco has been solid, but it doesn't seem to be enough against Detroit. At least not in this game.

Hmm, that is not good. Maurice was not the fault of this organization. Keep Toskala, Sundin, Kaberle and Maurice and build from there, I say. At least something's happening though. If only we could get a positive sign from the captain..
  10. I just don't understand why it is so difficult for publishers to grasp the idea of REWARD vs. THREAT. If you reward the consumer for buying their game instead of threatening the same consumer after he's already bought the game, the DRM could actually be a positive experience! Stardock seems to have grasped the idea. Noone else. Luckily for me I wasn't that interested in Mass Effect anyhow. Will be more difficult when it comes to Spore though. I'm guessing I'm going to have to do a Kaftan on Spore
  11. At least post a picture of your hands.
  12. Woah, I played the original King's Bounty on my Commodore 64.. I remember raising dragon armies of 50 dragons or more.. and then having them revolt on me It looks like they've used the same engine as the latest Heroes of Might and Magic for this game.
  13. One thing I love to do is to complete the missions in the dome near the place where you start the game. If you do that, you get a monster truck that always spawns outside the dome. What I do is I take that monster truck and drive it north from the dome (along the beach road) until I come to a really steep road to the left. If you drive your monster truck slowly up that hill in the wrong lane, you'll drive over the cars you meet.. and occasionally launch them several hundred meters up in the air! You actually have time to get out of your car, locate the flying car in the sky and take a picture of it as it comes tumbling down :D Great fun!
  14. So.. no bicycles? No gyms? No way of getting fat (or fatter, according to one of the jerks in this thread)? No hidden packages to collect? Not as many hidden jumps and stuff to have fun with in the world? And the world is smaller than San Andreas? So uh.. What does one do in GTA4 if you don't feel like following the quest line? I am replaying San Andreas right now and I've solved just enough missions to get the spray can. I've spent the last 8 hours or so just finding those hidden graffiti tags (while gaining in driving skill and stamina and shooting skill!). It sure sounds like a step back..

I'll root for Detroit because of all the Swede presence in that team. But it feels horrible

Congratulations, now you get to face Detroit. Good luck, Dallas, you're going to need it.

I'm getting a little sleepy.. It's almost 8 in the morning in Sweden.. But I can't stop watching now!
  18. Buy roller blades. Stalk hot roller blade women near the beach. Cardio comes as an extra. Or you could buy a bike.. Not only does it make you able to explore your surroundings, it is GREAT for cardio.

Yeah, well, I guess that depends on how you see it. You might think puck control is playing better (a la Detroit), which is usually correct. But, as you also mention, Montreal (and mostly the Kostitsyn brothers) can hold the puck for as long as they want as long as they never manage to get the puck into a dangerous zone. Philly's defenders managed to push Montreal out into the corners and/or force them to shoot from the blue line without a screen. And every time Philadelphia countered, they were dangerous. They found a hole (high, glove hand side) on the rookie Price and they used it ruthlessly. I couldn't believe they kept playing Price for so long, even after he'd been solved! And the Flyers may have been outshot (which they were, badly), but I strongly disagree with them being outchanced! Montreal were so toothless. Philly got them exactly where they wanted them all series long.
