I'mg goine to bed
  2. I wasn't interested.. until I heard about panties being shown! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nG_nSIQsQ0A I could watch those girls all night! With the sound off.
  3. I was at a pub and had drunk three large, strong beers (6.9%) when a pretty girl came by and wanted to go running with me within 30 minutes. Dumb as I am I accepted. We ran six miles and I don't think I've ever had more of a stitch in my side than tonight. I was ready to die and welcome my eternity in hell. Isn't that weird though? I didn't even get to sleep with her..
  4. Did I mention I hate strategy games..?

I think it'll be a tough series since both teams are so good. It's difficult to predict who will win since their playing styles are so different, with Detroit's machine-like puck possession game and Pittsburgh's individual-skill based offensive game. I suspect the series will go like the Detroit - Dallas series though: even series, Detroit goes up 3-2 and finishes it in the sixth game. I also suspect the difference maker might be the goalie in a series like this. Fleury has played amazing and Osgood too, but Fleury has looked somewhat sharper to me. He is what worries me in my prediction. We'll see. If Detroit wins, it'll be the first time ever a team led by a European-born captain has hoisted the Cup! Go Lidstr
  6. Yeah, great dialogue in those games. Carry on.

3-0 for Detroit after one period. Looking good for the Swedes! Although nothing is certain yet. Dallas has looked very sharp whenever they've had the puck in the offensive zone.
  8. It was used as an example as to how far some people can be pushed and still defend the system. Do you know why MMORPG's are considered worthless by game collector's? Can you see the same issues with games that require an on-line authentication every 10 days? Do you even realize how much you're giving away as a consumer by adhering to these antics? It's amazing to me that you're actually defending this. Where would you draw the line then? When is enough enough for you?
  9. I sure as **** don't feel like a criminal for doing it. Not any more than walking into a bank and having security cameras watching me. I'm sure you'd be OK with a little anal probing every time you got on a plane too. But some of us don't like that stuff and think it's the pirates who should be jumping through hoops, not us paying customers. These DRM schemes are hitting the wrong end of the spectrum. As I've said earlier in the thread, a reward system is much more effective than a system based on punishment. Basic psychology, but something publishers seem to be missing.
  10. I take it you liked the quest pointers in Oblivion then. I didn't. I don't want to be hand-held by the game I am playing. Yes, some quests are very difficult.. to the point that it is actually possible to FAIL THEM, something that American game designers seem to have forgotten as an option. For example the quest in Gothic 3 when you're supposed to find people for the Okara rebel camp. It gave you NO CLUES as to where to start looking, how many people would be needed or anything. You just had to walk out into the gigantic land and try talking to people! It's also one of the best quests I've ever seen in a RPG ever. Mainly because it's so overwhelmingly difficult that you give up before you've even started.. but as time goes by and you explore more and more of the land, you'll run into stranded fire mages, bored hunters, greedy paladins and you'll convince them to join the rebels. When you finally finish the quest (if you ever do), it's a fantastic feeling of accomplishment, something that the typical unfailable Fed-ex quests never provide. Making the game dumb and easy is to make a game I won't remember five minutes after playing it.
  11. Just a word of advice: Alan Wake is being made by the lazy Finns of Remedy.. That means that it'll be delayed at least two years before it is finally released.. and is absolutely fantastic. Expect Alan Wake in 2009. Late 2009.
  12. I must say that was a surprise! 4-2 after two periods and Canada looked strong. And Kovalchuk hasn't exactly been at the top of his game during this championship series.. Congratulations, Russia! Well played!
  13. It doesn't matter if it's a hoax or not, it's still what the haters will believe. Just look at this thread and read the responses to the "interview". People are actually gloating over how bad and not-Fallout Fallout 3 will be and how utterly dumb all Bethesda's decisions are.. without knowing ANYTHING about the game and/or the decisions they've made. It's gone so far that they've started hoping the game will be a disaster just so it proves their negative attitudes right. Because it's more important to be right in their bitterness than getting another good game! Tiresome.
  14. I'm so glad I was at a friend's house and ate quesadillas instead of watching that fiasco.. Feel free to gloat as much as you want, you deserve the bronze (after the way we creamed you in the finals in the Olympics last time)!
  15. Would Obsidian ever be interested in hiring the talents of Jesper Kyd? His work in Hitman: Blood Money really impressed me.. It's been a long time since I've been so impressed with a game soundtrack (outside the Gothic games, but I suspect that has something to do with my fanboy-ism for the games as much as the quality of the tunes..). Of course, I have no idea how much his services would cost or if he even freelances like that.. But still, it would be really cool to see what he could add to a RPG!
  16. I'm not worried about the colour palette at all. I'm mostly worried about what they'll do to the license. I would love to see a continuation of the Gothic universe, but I'm not sure if the direction they're taking the franchise in will be what I am looking for in a Gothic game. It's kind of worrying that they mention that their main objective is to penetrate the American market. This will sound horrible and condescending as hell, but to me that usually means dumbing down the game, adding more violence and removing EVERYTHING that can be even remotely offensive. Operation main stream commenced! We'll see though. I'm actually happy that a new team is doing the next Gothic game! This means that instead of having one small niche team making a new Gothic every 3-4 years, now we have two teams working on similar types of games, the type I enjoy the most of all. If Spellbound can produce a top quality product, we're in luck. If they don't, we still have Piranha Bytes upcoming project on the horizon. Win-win.
  17. Why are you even typing **** you apparently know nothing about? If you type "high velocity bullet" in Google, the first thing that pops up is this: http://karws.gso.uri.edu/jfk/scientific_to...high-speed.html I don't know (or care) how legit it is, but it shows you how kinetic energy works when applied to flesh in a hurry.
  18. No. One of the first things new doctors get to see is the amount of damage a high velocity bullet can cause on a human body. Trust me, it can tear off limbs and worse. It can literally make you explode. Calibre has little to do with it (unless we're talking REALLY big calibres).
  19. Yes. Sorry to hear about the Bourne game, I was secretly hoping it would be good. It looked pretty faithful to the movies when I saw a trailer that showed close quarter combat from the game, but alas.. it was not to be.
  20. Just a hint: very old motherboards didn't have flash memory to store their BIOS data. They actually used a battery powered memory to store that information, which meant that once the battery died, so did the computer. Forever. It was said that the batteries would last like 10-15 years, but lots and lots of old motherboards have died since, so that was a little too optimistic.
  21. Haha, I have a Voodoo 5 lying around in some drawer somewhere. Never did I think my old Voodoo 5 would be more powerful than a GPU someone actually uses I bought it for like $15 once when I was trying to get my old Elder Scrolls games up and running. The ones with Glide 3DFX support.
  22. I'm not a fan of either KotOR2 or NWN2. In fact, I could never bring myself to finish KotOR2 (although I finished KotOR..) and I still have NWN2 sitting unused on my computer, waiting to be finished.. sometime.. in the future.. I don't know why I am here. I think it's because I loved Fallout and I somehow still believe this gang had something to do with those games. Now my hopes are turned to Alpha Protocol, which so far sounds like something I could really enjoy. Unless they bring in magic and **** in that game too.
  23. If it's ANYTHING like STALKER, I'm going to wet my pants with exhilaration.

I've watched a lot of games from this years play-offs, and you know what's missing? Those really bone-crunching hits! Maybe I was spoiled by always having to watch Stevens steamroll over my Leafs every year, but it really feels like the NHL is missing those great hitters of yesteryear. I mean, I know Phaneuf can lay out anyone in the league, but.. He didn't seem to step it up at all in the play-offs. And sure, lots of series have been physical, but I am talking about those EXTRA special hits, the ones that send a shiver down your spine when you watch them. Anyone remember ? I've also been watching the World Championship of hockey and I must say that some of those games have been way more physical than the NHL play-offs! Isn't that weird? It might be because the difference between the best players on the best teams and the worst players on the worst teams is so much bigger, but still.. Murray levels Morozov (Yes, that is Kovalchuk beating up young Anton Str

If they're both swept, that would be the first time I've ever seen both Conference finals being sweeps.
