What you did today?
I find it amusing how the girl is worth so little when China are having a shortage of women thanks to their softcore eugenics, the story itself might not be as tragic as it sounds, the kids will more than likely end up with parents who actually want them. It reminds me of this story from last month, kid sold his damn kidney for an Ipad...it sounds laughable but I'd bet these sort of things will start happening in western nations as we have more "austerity" piled upon us.

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced
They look pretty good apart from a few suspect polygons jutting out in the distant LOD and a couple of the pics look like they've been brightened after the fact.

Today I woke up in my own bed after a weeklong holiday, it feels good to be home but this is also where all the bad habits live...

The Codex
So far the damage is minimal and confined to one thread, my hope is that we can contain it there.

Gah, I want to install New Vegas but my OCD completionist side won't let me until Fallout 3 is completed, and even then...have I overdosed on Fallout?

News Int. Inc. hack phone of missing (dead girl)
I kind of agree with Volo, in that a major fine and jail time is probably the best we will get for the people *directly* involved, the higher ups who authorise the shenanigans will of course get away with it, albeit with a dirtied image...and that only ever lasts a year or two given the short memory of the perpetually bombarded public.

News Int. Inc. hack phone of missing (dead girl)
It seems world events are threatening to distract from this story what with the Norway situation...and Amy Winehouse just died. *edit* Also, check this for a display of how low the Murdoch news empire will stoop to distract.

Bomb and shooting in Norway
So who do we bomb to put all this to rights? *edit* I just found a quote from the Norwegian PM, "We will retaliate with more democracy, transparency and openness" Norway. F*** Yeah!

The latest trailer simply rocks, rocks balls.

One quest from Fallout 2 that sticks in my mind is where a farmer begs you for help, the dialogs allow you to keep upping the reward, even to the point of demanding he cut off a finger as a down-payment, the kicker is when you ask him to saute the finger in butter, he says something like "why you muthasuckah!" and immediately shotguns you

What you did today?
Today I went on an old steam train through Snowdonia, also got fashionably pink-ified by the summer sun, now I look like someone who only spends half his life indoors I also bought a Kindle while I was in Tesco, I feel like somewhat of a sellout but it beats the **** out of my old Sony Reader, the Sony was like reading a ghostly imitation of a book, Kindle is much closer to the real thing, it's also got some impressive little stereo speakers on it for music.

I chuckled at the screengrabs, my infantile sense of humour tells me to install New Vegas and buy OWB when I get back from Wales.

"unexplained, but was not thought to be suspicious" How can an event with no explanation be categorised as unsuspicious?

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS THREAD!
Just thought I'd mention that I'm reading the first Elder Scrolls novel while on holiday, it's very much like a massively expanded in-game book, Greg Keyes has a good grasp of the lore and his characters are decent. My point is that it's not hard for someone to be creative within the restrictions of another person's world, the writing in this book trounces anything in Oblivion, in fact it makes me wonder why Bethesda don't outsource more of their script writing.

Sorry I was gone so long
I love the contrast between fleshy pink and glowy green, bold, bold stuff.

Thanks GD, they were lucky and seemed to get mostly my wife's genes While it's kind of soothing from the "at least I know I'm funding my own kid" point of view, there really isn't anything more tragic than a girl who looks just like her father. Maybe a girl who looks just like her father but was born with her intestines outside of her abdomen?

Not to divert from the babyscat discussion but I'd just like to say that stone houses in the middle of forests rock my balls, that is all. Mmm, holiday

Looks very cool, I haven't played New Vegas since before Christmas, the DLC should help freshen it up for the final run.
