  1. I wonder how the game reacts if you block it from using the net, gotta say I'm not happy about this chicken mcnugget bull****, not happy at all.
  2. I still think The Shivering Isles is the best of Oblivion, it was a nicely made world and the quests and dungeons all fitted in, practically every NPC had new dialogue depending on what you'd done. Fallout 3 blew me away at the time but of course I hadn't played the first two, either way it was a definite step up in world and quest design for Bethesda...apart from the Meresti vampires, uhg. *edit* Oh yeah, the ending too, wtf?
  3. I'd have to agree about the lack of consequences, a new building in the waterfront is all you really get for completing the TG quest line and I can't even remember what happens after the the DB quest. The majority of the quests themselves were fun though, I especially liked the subtle way the DB were introduced, a few rumours, a man put in the dungeons for performing rituals and eventually if you happen to murder an innocent, you get the visit from Lucien. The Mages Guild had to be the most atrocious quest line, utter derp from start to finish as I recall, though I suppose that resurrect staff you get from Mannimarco was a decent reward, I remember going into dangerous (OOO) dungeons and using it to build little armies of undead, leading them on massive rampages into the deeper areas, good clean chaos. *edit* Ouch, looks like the UK is getting shafted, 129 pounds is roughly $212...do I really want a plastic dragon *that* much? Bugger it, just pre-ordered the standard release for 30 pounds (with release day delivery), plus I get a fancy cloth map, shove your dragon statues up your arse.
  4. Hopefully they're not emo dark like the ones in Oblivion, they were some of the best quests though, if a little bit rape happy with the lore.
  5. There was an interview with Todd Howard and Notch a few months ago, I remember the lighting made Todd look rather sinister and threatening...maybe it wasn't just lighting?
  6. Cheeriness is overrated, lately I'm making a concerted effort to not be overly cheerful when I'm feeling downright bitter inside, hopefully it'll reduce the amount of cancers I end up with in old age
  7. Same here, I've only just now been able to wipe the sweat from my brow.
  8. I got the pre-order price too, it was so long ago that I really can't remember who I bought it from
  9. As far as I know Viewsonic have a few of the cheapest IPS panel screens around right now, they're getting good reviews. Try to avoid TN panels if you're doing any professional work, IPS, MVA or PVA are the way to go *edit* Just a little extra thing I gleaned from my time with the dual GPU card, you can technically disable the onboard xfire and use one gpu but the weird issues remain, apparently with two separate cards you can overcome this.
  10. All good news by the sound of it, maybe the bastards can finally take my money and deliver the damn thing
  11. I've been watching the new Thundercats cartoon, the shame runs deep...but it's actually pretty good, a very good reboot, er, for kids n stuff.
  12. Seems MK's writing won't be directly included in Skyrim, bit of a bummer that Link On the bright side, the conversation makes it clear that his writing is being used for inspiration.
  13. Unfortunately the dual GPU cards have the same issues as multi card setups.
  14. I experienced Crossfire with a Radeon 5970, really bad/glitchy performance in most games but it was great with software that supported it, if you're not into playing Crysis and running benchmarks all the time then I say go with a single ballsy GPU.
  15. The most obscene thing about that screenshot is the fact that Threedog literally tells you what he does in those exact words, someone at Bethesda thought mindless parroting was a sign of intelligence.
  16. Some of it was apparently lifted from the Unabomber's writings.
  17. Banks actually can and do lend more money than has been deposited, it's called fractional reserve banking.
  18. A guy on Page 4 has adjusted the levels a bit, someone suggested they might have brightened the pics for magazine print, eitherway that's all that really bugged me about them, it all looks very nice.
  19. The resemblance is quite odd...which makes me question something, this guy is supposed to be an ultra right Nazi type, why is he playing computer games with huge amounts of gay and bisexual encounters?
  20. Yeah, given the situation, regardless of my chances I'd much rather have a method of defence.
  21. This is spot on, it's one of the reasons our never ending quest for a security is a racket, you'll never stop severely pissed off individuals from doing terrible things.
  22. Ho ho, some people would have loved that, one bombing in the name of Ddafi Duck would magically justify the whole thing.
  23. To be honest I really will be irked if the game doesn't contain a ton of real world conspiracy theories, that's one thing that really drew me into the first game, they treated their source material very respectfully, regardless of how over the top some of it is.
  24. If anything this guy is a product of ten to twenty years of Islamophobic hysteria and fearmongering.
