  1. I don't how well a bike would work, but I definitely think things like an ant sled and rafts would be cool
  2. Sure, it would be fine if we held up our weapon with perfect timing and were able to take the edge off of a bug's blow, but we don't do that. Instead, we can hold up our weapon for a decent period of time and pretty much survive every attack. I personally think it would be cool if we could make shields and they would actually serve a purpose. Maybe we could even get swords that we could use the hilts and blades of to parry (like what medieval warriors did.) I just don't see how holding up a thin mint mallet can go from making the wolf spider's bite a one- hit kill to making it perfectly survivable with decent enough armor.
  3. I think it would be cool to make clay into bricks and then be able to make walls, stairs, and even roofs with it.
  4. I agree with you. I don't think blocking should be a thing unless you have a shield (which would be super cool tool to add into the game.) I also think bugs should have more unique, deadlier attacks so that combat does seem less robotic and more immersive. These are some good ideas!
  5. The thing is, how sturdy are the sprigs in the game? Are they strong enough to support a human?
  6. That's true.
  7. Although it would be near impossible to take on the these creatures face to face, I would love to see some other ways to kill them. For example, setting up traps (like being able to arm old mouse traps in order to kill a mouse) could be really cool. And I would love to see some more boss- type enemies (like the hedge broodmother, only less disappointing.)
  8. That's weird. I would suggest moving this post to the actual Grounded technical support forum.
  9. I meant the raft. Could you pick it up and move it to other lakes? If not, it would end up kinda useless if you had to make one for each individual puddle you come across.
  10. Thank you! And for the spray can, I just thought it would add to the 90's feel this game is going for. But the brush and other things like that would also be cool
  11. This would be pretty cool. Maybe these weapons could cause some sort of bleeding effect.
  12. That could be cool if we could make something centipede climbing (or crawling) gear or maybe an ice pick tool.
  13. This idea would be awesome. I know i have lost quite a few grass planks to the water. Only question though- could you move it? Would it be like a stuffed bug where you can "recycle" it, and move it elsewhere?
  14. That would definitely be neat. Maybe we could use the acorn shovel to smooth out the land. And fallen leaf pieces could be used for a ghillie suit of sorts.
  15. I would like that. Decorations being set up on the house around the time of year. Maybe we could even find half- eaten Christmas cookies lying around in the backyard and be able to make a small Christmas tree from some nature things lying around.
  16. That could be cool! Although maybe we would have to buy the scanner thing from Burgl so it isn't so overpowered.
  17. I realized after posting this that they probably would be too big to fight, which gave me an even better idea for a way to kill them. Maybe there would be a way to get into the bottom of the shed, where there would be 1 or 2 mouse traps lying around. You would have to find cheese (or maybe two acorn bits) to arm them, then manually pull back the spring thing back. The danger in this, though, would be that there would be some spiders or other dangerous bugs crawling around below the shed, so you would want to arm the trap and run out of there. You would then have to wait a few days for the mouse to get stuck and killed by the trap, then you could head over there and claim your bounty. If you waited too many days, though, the bugs underneath the shed would bet to the corpse first, and you would have to arm the trap again and wait some more.
  18. These are some ideas I had for new building items Painting- Paints would be a nice addition to the game You could make 2 buckets of them at a workshop with a piece of something Some examples include: 1 ant piece- 2x red paint; 1 berry chunk- 2x purple paint; 1 charcoal chunk (I talked about this in my previous topic)- 2x black paint; 1 stinkbug part- 2x gray paint; etc. 1 paint would cover one side of a wall (or roofs, stairs, floors, what have you.) Thus, you would have to use both buckets of paint to cover a building piece entirely To use the paint though, you would have to make the spray can Spray can- 1x mosquito needle, 1x clover leaf, 1x dry grass chunk, 1x clay (Or something like that, I'm open to suggestions about what ingredients it should take.) Maybe you could get more advanced paint recipes from Burgl (1 spider chunk- 2x spotty black and yellow paint; spoiled meat- 2x nauseous green paint; etc.) Building- More building items desperately need to be added Ladders- 2x grass planks, 3x woven fiber, 2x thistles Weed stem ladders could be the same, but with weed stems instead of grass planks (obviously) Weed stairs, weed floors, weed corner pieces are a must-have More foundations (someone mentioned a type of concrete in my last topic that could be really cool Maybe super reinforced walls from Burgl Decor- Clay pot- 1x clay, 1x spoiled meat. Could be set down on furniture. Would start growing a plant fiber (non- collectible. Purely decoration.) Clay plate- 1x clay. You could place cooked foods on it (And yes, the foods would still spoil. No trickery here ;] .) An actual painting- 2 random paints, 1x mice leather (which I also discussed previously,) 1x weed stem, and 1x thistle. The paints you choose would show up on the painting as splotches (or maybe there would be some combinations that would produce something, like red and black paint would make an ladybug.) More light sources. It would be so cool to make a slime mold chandelier. There could maybe be a lamp post that uses firefly parts. I find it boring to only be limited to just three light sources for my house That is most of my ideas for how cool some new building pieces could be. As always, I would love some feedback!
  19. That would be so nice
  20. That would definitely be nice, but I think the point of trashing something is kinda like a consequence so you don't go making a whole bunch of extra stuff you don't need. I see what you're saying though.
  21. That could be cool. Maybe we could find pieces of glass lying around that we could break with a tier three hammer, and maybe also use weevil meat as the "eyes" for the binoculars (like the gas mask and grub googles do .)
  22. I think that the Grill/ Shed area across the pond could really use an update. Here are some ideas I have for the place: Grill Area The ash-lands. Surrounding the grill there could be a burnt area called the ash-lands. This would be a barren place with no vegetation; no creatures; and no water or food (except for the chicken bone, which I will get to later.) This place could be very useful, as you would have to cross it to get to the grill, and there would be some important resources there. One of these resources would be pieces of charcoal, which could be broken apart by a tier two hammer. These pieces could be used to make a tier three hammer (and maybe an oven and upgraded farms.) You could also find chicken bones there. Break them apart with a tier two/ tier three tool, and you will get chicken fat (which could be used as food, and maybe even as an ingredient for candles/ candelabras!) and bone shards, which would be useful for an armor I will talk about later. Top-of-the-grill-goodies. After crossing the ash-lands, you could parkour your way up the side of the grill. Up on the top, you could find old hot dog bits, some raw science, and maybe a SCA.B scheme called "Smoky." Shed Area These are my ideas for how the shed could become the next big area in Grounded. I'll only share a few of them for now, for the sake of time. Mice. these tough creatures would be found on the floor of the shed. They would be very agile and strong, so people would probably need tier three gear to survive the fight. The resources they drop would would be very useful, though. Things like mouse skin (which you could use two of to make mouse leather,) Mouse fuzz, and mouse ears. You could also find mice droppings around, which could be used for upgraded farms. Resources. There would lots of random items found in the shed, usually in hard to reach places (more on that later.) One thing could be coils of string. You would need a tier two or tier three axe to cut it, breaking it into string fibers (or something like that, I haven't really decided on the name yet,) which you could then use two of at a workshop to make simple rope. You could also find glue chunks lying around in the shed. You would need a tier two/ three hammer to break it. You could then use the glue globs with something like chicken fat or mouse skin to make mega armor glue, for tier three armors and such. Parkour. To find resources like the string and glue, which would be high up on shelves, you would need to do some parkour. Jumping from tools to shelves to climbing up wires, eventually you would reach the very top. The top shelf could have anything from a Burgl chip to more story parts to even a boss enemy! The possibilities are vast. I also think it's worth mentioning an armor I thought of that uses the mouse parts and bone shards- Scavenger mask: 1x bone shards, 1x mouse ear, 2x mouse fuzz, 1x simple rope (Armor bonus- Sneaking speed) Scavenger chest-piece: 2x mouse leather, 1x bone shard, 2x simple rope (Armor bonus- Sneaking speed) Scavenger knee-guards: 2x bone shards, 1x mouse fuzz, 1x simple rope (Armor bonus- Sneaking speed) Full set bonus (Leftover bounty)- When breaking something or pulling the parts off of something, high chance to get one or two extra pieces Those are all my ideas for a grill/ shed update. I would love to hear some feedback!
