  1. Uh-huh uh-huh. Unlike you I "at least" managed to list reasons, but feel free to ignore them, you're opinion-that's-fact is clearly superior to anyone's.
  2. Wrong thread, Alpha?
  3. ME 1 may be better on the technical side, but the AI is nonexistent (enemies running around between two points - except the geth snipers and Final Saren, who jump around between four points!, totally random ability usage), Mako controls are a sin against humanity, combat utterly imbalanced, cover unneeded (and useless anyway) after the first two missions, exploration...palette swapped planets, side missions taking place in all of two kinds of warehouses, some (and IMO the best) exposition delivered in text only in a pop-up at the mission's end, bugs which I thankfully did not encounter.. Ignoring the crapload of faults ME 1 had, and you call others epic fanboys? Pfft.
  4. Headhunter, about to torture some poor sod for info: "I have a low rank in Torture, do excuse me if I mess up." *slasher smile*

    Dialogue not playing

I'm stuck at the second phase, and can't come back later because this is the only mission left. Aww screw it, I've tried again and again and my only reward was frustration. I'll come back when/if the game receives a patch, until then I'm going to project mental images of a very angry me into the mind of every Obsidian employee.

    Dialogue not playing

Shooting causes an alarm (and I'll be damned if I pull this in a C&C game! ).Going ahead with Al-Bara? How?
  7. I got the same treatment by G22 in the final Taipei mission. They must've really hated that particular CSP.
  8. Oh, I was only comparing him to that one guy, not the whole game, and only because he reminded me of the dealer, minus the visor.
  9. stealth armor is kind of an oxymoron anyway when you think about it Well it does protect you, even if the measure of protection provided is pretty much 0. Anyway, I liked how it looked.
  10. You're my new personal Jesus. :hail:
  11. I don't see anything that makes him any more anime-ish than the drug dealer in the metro under Battery Park in DX 1. The city: I don't remember how many years this story will be happening before DX 1, but the "collapse feel" doesn't necessarily have to be here (not that I wouldn't miss it). And to be fair, at least it looks awesome. Also, if I can jump around between the buildings with leg enhancements a kilometer above ground (while my fear of heights kicks in), I won't care how Deus Ex-ish it is. :3
  12. Vanilla NwN 2 had some interesting characters, most of them joinables. Mask of the Betrayer has apparently great joinables, though I didn't get far in that yet.

    Dialogue not playing

The ho works sometimes, if I aim dead center at her head (that, or the biggest coincidence streak in my life), but van der Graaf still isn't working.
  14. Yes, for the past 6 years. BTW I posted a theory somewhere once that the REAL Alpha Protocol is trying to minimize the game's popularity.
  15. After you hack the [Download Database] computer in the CIA listening post, you can read the e-mails stored on it. Two of them are discussing how to find a rogue agent (obviously referring to Mike), codename Georgia. Hint:
  16. Maybe it's just my lag speaking, but code-breaking and lock picking after the 2nd hub became nigh impossible.
  17. According to Wikipedia it was Brian Wayne Transeau's work.

    Jerky mouse fix

    It's..it's beautiful..
  19. Randomly in the game, "minor" dialogues don't play and the subtitles don't show up either. For example when in Taipei you have to assassinate the three defected triad guys and pick up a motivation clue, Mike and Mina don't talk. Or for a more recent example, in Rome during the party identification mission, Mina doesn't identify the targets (the prostitute(?) and one of the guards). This one is rather problematic since it breaks the sequence and I remain locked on the target, not even able to kill him/her. Reloading save didn't help, tho I didn't try restarting the game. Yet. Anyone else encounter this/ ideas to solve it?
  20. Happens to me too sometimes. Almost ****ed up the last Tai Pei mission.
  21. Thanks for the suggestions. I got past that part, now the game just freezes randomly. Thinking about it, Arkham Asylum did this when I met the Scarecrow for the final time a few months back.
  22. So I got to the computer where you have to decide whether to or not. Dialogue finishes, checkpoint saves, 10 seconds later the computer freezes. Tried reloading twice, froze every time.

  24. For an unsupported video card the game runs rather well. Sure, hacking is a pain when the controls don't respond half the time and there's a small lag when I turn around fast, but apart from that, it plays smooth. Oh yeah, when more than 2 guys shoot than it's lag time too. I'm suspicious of the controls though, keyboard problems are one thing, but the oversensitive hacking mouse scroll and the reduced-to-next-to-nothing lock pick mouse scroll is... weird, to say the least. Anyway, game runs reasonably well and the game started to become fun when I stopped trying to sneak past every bum guard.
