  1. That seems to be the culprit, thanks.
  2. The title "Dragon" Age certainly puts a limit on the time when a sequel takes place. If they fast-forward a couple of centuries, it can't exactly be called Dragon Age anymore.
  3. Can anyone explain why my mage's fatigue is 10%, even when completely stripped naked? Is this a bug? I reckon it should 0.0% You're invulnerable as arcane warrior against everything save bosses, but due to the huge fatigue penalty basically you'll only be able to cast Blood Magic spells. So basically it's pretty boring... auto-attacking every mook to death.
  4. One might as well respec and make Wynne & Morrigan Arcane Warriors. That would break the game completely.
  5. Somebody should make a Demon Merchant mod. Summon him whenever your pack is full so you can sell some litter. Similar to the djinn merchant in Hordes of the Underdark.
  6. Storm of the Century > Fireball
  7. Jessica Biel = win. Next!
  8. Didn't the patched normal mode just give small bonuses to companions' attack & defense? Doesnt' seem a big deal.
  9. ^I checked it again, it seems I confused Death hex with Misdirection hex... but it seems this spell only lasts for less than 10 seconds on her.
  10. Force Field worked well against the Tleilaxu female... gave the party plenty of time to destroy the tentacles with Cone of Cold, etc. It was just the most disgusting boss ever... the animation when she picked up one of my tanks still gives me nightmares.
  11. I was certainly able to freeze her a couple of times after a vulnerability hex... Force field lasted only 4 seconds or so, though. I'm not sure, but I don't think Hexes can be resisted... otherwise playing on Nightmare difficulty would be... a nightmare.
  12. Yeh. Vulnerability & Death Hex saved my party in that battle. Hardest fight in the game, by far.
  13. Alistair & Shale are both almost indestructible and have very useful abilities to boot. They're also funny. So aside from story reasons, why even use Sten & Oghren? If there was one two-handed warrior I'd like to have in my party, it'd be I always kept Leliana in archer mode so she fell only 3 times during 70+ hours of play.
  14. Isn't blood mage unlocked by I recently made a City Elf DW warrior... I guess maxing out all three DW lines, buffing dexterity as high as possible and strength/constitution to reasonable levels is the way to go. Wearing light/medium armour should be enough since Shale is so good at tanking anyway. Cone of Cold should still own Ogres. I've only seen Ogre Alphas resist it on occasion. Heh, Cone of Cold just owns everything after a Vulnerability Hex, even dragons. I recently neutralized that insidious pack of 20 wolves outside Lothering that jumps at the party with one well-aimed Cone... on my first playthrough as a warrior things weren't so comfortable.
  15. You nasty powergamer! *shakes fist*
  16. Heh, the entire is a weak point in the game for me.
  17. I'll make a genuine effort now: 1. The Longest Journey 2. Beyond Good & Evil 3. Dune (the Cryo game, not Westwood Studios) 4. Syberia 1 & 2 5. Morrowind 6. Loom 7. Sands of Time 8. Age of Wonders 9. Oni 10. Broken Sword trilogy
  18. Kurt Meyer
  19. Divinity 2: Ego Draconis has pretty extensive dialogue and is fully voiced... the difference with DA is that just not every beggar in the game tells his entire life-story. And also they didn't hire half of Hollywood to speak lines... it's just a game that is well-balanced in graphics, length & VO. Don't you mean of the fifty percent who are miffed, 50% are whiners and 50% are thoughtful?
  20. I had a lot of fun playing SoZ as a swashbuckler. I really liked that rogue recruit who was a follower of Mask... there were some pretty cool dungeons too, especially the tower with the Illithid and Ancient Vampires.
  21. During the many never-ending dungeon crawls I just put Wynne & Morrigan outside rooms and let them cast respectively Earthquake, Blizzard & Tempest. Clears out everything without the tanks having to break sweat. Earthquake seems to be useless against non-moving targets, though... Anyone tried
  22. It depends on the spells you use how much aggro your mage draws. Fireball seems to draw a lot of attention, in particular. Cone of Cold... not so much. And if your mage is targeted by a tough opponent... force field/crushing prison/death hex serves as a thorough emasculation.
  23. ^With so much combat and so much dungeon crawling in the game, I simply wouldn't have the patience for playing a rogue. Already as a warrior I got tired of the endless combat halfway through the Deep Roads... the (mostly trivial) battles near the end of the game were one long chore for me.
  24. The only time I tried to be 'clever' with my rogue by setting traps in an area, I got hit by an ambush trigger... several dragonlings suddenly surrounded my party. That was also the last time I used Zevran in the game. I can see the appeal of rogues, though. Zapping in & out of stealth during combat, then backstabbing mooks into oblivion. Pretty hilarious.
  25. Are DW warriors viable? How high should they raise strength & dexterity? My sword & board only needed dexterity 26 for Tier 4 talents, but dual-wielders need 36... so is it worth it buffing both strength (best heavy armour needs 42) & dexterity and focus less on constitution (there is of course the Lifegiver ring)?
