The Dwarven shtick reminded me more of the political bruhaha in Frank Herbert's Dune series. Particularly House Harkonnen. Also, the finale of the Human Noble Origin reminded me of how House Atreides got wiped out. But that's just me.

Sparing or not sparing Marjosomething wouldn't matter. It's dark fantasy. Spare her - and she returns later. Don't spare her - and run into her contingency plan.

Entering the room in Spirit form and casting Crushing Prison, then using Golem form was the way I did it.

I think doing her companion quest is mandatory for something to happen.

Ehh... is Morrigan supposed to be able to solo a High Dragon?

I'm sick of these moments where one is supposed to enter a conspicuously large room and get ambushed by a horde of enemies, but instead one tries to use some tactics and hold back the entire party save Imoen-chick who is supposed to lure some mooks with her bow. But instead, what then happens is that the 'ambush' triggers and enemies literally appear out of nowhere next to the rest of your party.

Bad thing if you're trying to screw over Morrigan as much as possible. I think I botched the love-triangle-shtick yesterday. Leliana asked my PC whether there was something more between Alistair and PC (pretty weird thing to ask after kissing in front of her several times, but anyway) and I chose the straight-up honest answer.

I hope the memory leak issue gets patched soon. Especially since Phenom users like myself are especially hit by this problem. The more I progress in the game, the faster my performance is getting whacked over the head... I have to restart the game basically every hour now.

I think I haven't killed a Darkspawn for over 10 hours. I'm doing the Urn quest, I also did Leliana's quest, but I think I made the wrong choice at the end and I might regret it later. EDIT:

I wanted to see if I could take her. With more health poultices, and Wynne having some decent offensive spells aside from Stonefist, the battle would've been more comfortable.

Holy **** killing that hag Flemeth at level 12 is no walk in the park. Amusingly, Imoen-chick saved my bacon in the end and delivered the killing blow/shot. In hindsight, that Bastila-reincarnation that is Morrigan isn't even worth all that trouble.

Leliana's Pinning Shot temporarily stops a mage, and then it's possible to run up there and kick ass. Scattering Shot is even better.

Sending her into the pack, casting Blizzard and Force Field on herself works. Somehow enemies don't mind bashing into an impregnable shield while they're getting their asses frozen off.

Isn't it a trope that the Hordes of Evil march in a tempo slow enough so that the good guys can amass an army just in time for an epic last stand? Even Lord of the Rings takes two years.

Only when there was a powerful evil entity behind them that controlled & inspired them (Morgoth, Sauron, Saruman)... without those around they were mindless & animalistic and hardly a threat, similar to Darkspawn without an Archdemon. That said, though, can Darkspawn speak? Since there are some that can do magic & some that wear fancy armour (Alpha Hurlock/Genlock) there should at least be some intelligence involved..

They're exactly like the classical Tolkien Orcs, then.

I like Normal just fine. Miss Morrigan picked up the Blizzard spell yesterday and now my party mostly just stands back and watches how she destroys entire groups of enemies. Very useful during those never-ending random encounters in Denerim.

I'm surprised Purkake hasn't replied to this with a gif yet.

When I'm replaying the game as a mage, she can stay at camp forever. I bet she doesn't even leave when you get her approval to 0, considering her being the face of the game and all... I've been wasting a lot of gifts to keep her approval around 0 and all for nothing. Leliana is the companion with the most interesting backstory for me. I triggered her quest yesterday and it's pretty interesting.
