  1. I prefer the Witcher's setting & atmosphere over DA's. Also, imo environments are much better done in the Witcher. Compare Denerim to Vizima, for instance. The world in the Witcher feels alive, while in DA (just like in ME) the same NPCs stand around at the same spot for ever. In the Witcher citizens will comment as you pass them & they run off when it's raining, among other things.
  2. Meh. I'll take Subject Zero over that one any day.
  3. Leliana & the Scarecrow kicking butt:
  4. Is... is that a gatling gun in one of the screenies? *Soldier playthrough confirmed*
  5. I fear I may have to play some Orlesian pansy in the expansion since in all my endings my PC either entered high society, bit the dust or buzzed off to Par Vollen.
  6. What was amazing about MW is that even random NPCs that were not related to any quests at all could have very unique dialogue.
  7. Is it possible to continue a character in the expansion that was made queen of Ferelden?
  8. Everyone would be immune to the taint.
  9. So there will be Inferno Golems, Spectral Dragons and apparently also Skeletor... but what about Griffons?
  10. If Darkspawn Duncan isn't a boss in Return to Ostagar, I'm going on a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela on my bare feet.
  11. Materializing in front of an enemy and dumping an Arrow of Slaying into the enemy's face, then cloacking again and waiting for Arrow of slaying to recharge is a winning tactic.
  12. That's probably why the hot brunette Cerberus girl is sent along. She holds the remote control. Heh, was David Cage hired as a writer or something?
  13. Insanity & Force Storm are better. Force Storm kills an entire room of enemies, Insanity disables an entire room. Both require Will saves, hence most enemies won't save against it.
  14. Soldier all the way here. That quirky biotic & engineering stuff is why you let the hawt Asari & Quarians tag along.
  15. I've been playing a Dalish archer and it's been pretty good. My only gripe is a general one, namely that playing as a rogue is pointless as one is forced into combat no matter what. One can't even sneak past enemies since opening doors "in combat" is impossible & otherwise one just triggers an avalanche of enemy spawns.
  16. "Dood, where's your head?" Chilling with Joe the Hurlock
  17. This is correct. The very last autosave of each playthrough is what ME imports. For example, if I have a soldier named Maria Shepard and play her to level 50 as a paragon, that's one import save. I then use new game plus and use that same PC as a renegade and she's level 60 at the end, that's a second import save. When I start up ME 2, it will give me a list of imports: Maria Shepard - Soldier - level 50 (list of various paragon choices) Maria Shepard - Soldier - level 60 (list of various renegade choices) When I import the character, I can change her class and appearance. Thank you. I just asked because I noticed the last ME autosave is from just before the final battle, yet the game also saves during the final cutscene where the last choice in the game is made.
  18. Is the save that must be imported into ME 2 the very last autosave of ME?
  19. Finished a re-run of Mass Effect, trying to reach level 60 which ultimately failed (got to level 59 only) so might still have to go through it once again. No biggie since a renegade FemShep sticking to the main quest only makes for a pretty cool game. I honestly don't understand how people manage to go through the game listening to Mark Meer for so many hours. Do they play the game with sound off?
  20. When the Parasini chick asks Shepard to convince Lorik Quinn to testify, betray her to Anoleis. Then they conveniently kill each other.
  21. Good old Renegade
  22. I really tried to replay the game with a male Shepard but I had to stop after the Citadel. Mark Meer & the 1001 uncharted planets killed it for me. Luckily I still have some FemShep renegade saves.
  23. Only against pigeons.
  24. Grease & Bigby spells made the end fight of SoZ relatively easy for me. I had also loaded up the Ranger & Rogue recruit with a boat load of +4 arrows before the battle, so maybe that helped too. Only played & finished it once, though, so maybe I was lucky.
