  1. Is a strength of 22 enough for a rogue? Not sure about weapons, but some pretty nifty armours require 22.
  2. I went through the Dalish Elf origin yesterday (for future use) and although the origin doesn't make much sense near the end, I was happy to discover an act of ruthless, wanton violence in Ostagar I had missed before.
  3. I found High Dragon to be very stupid in the game... but then in DA they're just animals so it's okay I guess. Flemeth seemed to be smarter and switching targets a lot, but I was forced to kill her with two tanks, Wynne (who didn't have Force Field or ice-related spell) & Leliana. With PC mage I reckon it would be easier... I'll have to test on replay with PC mage. Revenants... are just one-man armies. I don't think she's bad, really. She can pretty quickly pick up Cone of Cold, Force Field & Sleep which are the win spells of the game.
  4. I just entered Orzammar (went there last, since I hate dwarves) and had some really weird conversations with Leliana right off the bat. I knew it...
  5. I haven't had the pleasure of a full-party-wipe yet, only time I came close was .
  6. That "dragon" in the Forest Ruins was ridiculous. Orange marked? Even drakes were more tough than her.
  7. On normal difficulty, one tank taunting all the time (to prevent Dragon from targeting other characters) + Force Fielding the tank while your mages are blasting the Dragon, works. I've tested this tactic five times succesfully against the High Dragon. Against Flemeth, I had to do things the old fashioned way because I couldn't bring Morrigan... it's possible Flemeth is smarter than the High Dragon. I'll have to test it when I'm replaying with a PC mage. Immunity against knockdown is recommended; also stay at the flank of the dragon all the time, to prevent the tank from being grabbed or slapped by the tail. Of course, fire resistance is important... going into battle with Drake scale armour + would help too.
  8. Why is there blood splatter after fighting shades/wraiths/demons? Or any undead for that matter? Anyway, I've finished Brazilian Forest. Juggernaut armour is looking pretty bad-ass.
  9. Grab & Slap is the reason why you need the tank at the flank always. Put tank at the flank, let the tank taunt, then cast Force Field on tank & laugh as the dragon keeps attacking your invulnerable tank while your mages are tearing it apart. At least, this is the strategy that works on Normal difficulty. Maybe dragon is smarter on Hard/Nightmare?
  10. High Magic & Willpower might also affect it, along with critter's physical resistance maybe?
  11. I have the impression Cleanse Area removes effects/buffs on enemies only. I encountered a mage with anti-magic shield and a lot of other bruhaha, and Cleanse Area removed everything of him.
  12. It happened to me a few times that upon selecting a character after I had positioned him/her somewhere away from an enemy, the character would teleport right next to the enemy. Not fun when you're trying to kill a dragon. That said, I hope someone will make a mod that removes or changes the underwear armor female Dalish elves are wearing. It looks ridiculous.
  13. I finally made it to the Brazilian Forest. Also, maybe PC shouldn't have slept with Alistair. He became sappy overnight.
  14. For epic lulz, combine Glyph of Paralysis with Glyph of Repulsion.
  15. ^Wolves may be the most powerful enemies below level 10. They always come in hordes and have Overwhelm. And I noticed some suckas (drakes) even manage to succesfully Overwhelm my PC tank even with Shield Wall + Shield Mastery (or whatever it is called, it is supposed to make you immune to knockdown).
  16. Force Field + Crushing Prison, most likely.
  17. I think the biggest Win spell of them all is Force Field. I use it all the time to disable yellow/orange marked boss enemies, then clear out the mooks (I haven't come across anything yet that managed to resist it). It lasts for around half a minute, which is an eternity. It's also useful to send a tank into a horde, let the tank Taunt, then cast Force Field on the tank and unleash some arcane mayhem.
  18. I found a lot of use in this one: IF Morrigan:snarky comment -> Wynne:Cast Stonefist on Morrigan
  19. Compare Lothering's look with the opening village in The Witcher, or Denerim's look with Vizima's. 'Nuff said.
  20. The Dwarven shtick reminded me more of the political bruhaha in Frank Herbert's Dune series. Particularly House Harkonnen. Also, the finale of the Human Noble Origin reminded me of how House Atreides got wiped out. But that's just me.
  21. Sparing or not sparing Marjosomething wouldn't matter. It's dark fantasy. Spare her - and she returns later. Don't spare her - and run into her contingency plan.
  22. Enslaving Orlais with necromancy blood magic?
  23. Entering the room in Spirit form and casting Crushing Prison, then using Golem form was the way I did it.
