  1. It's a Belgian game. I don't mind the convo animations. It's nowhere as exaggerated as in Drakensang, where characters would wave around their arms every 5 seconds. The art direction, character development, music & side quests of this game kick Dragon Age in the teeth.
  2. I always do everything in the opening area and am usually level 6/7 when meeting Talana. There are enough level 8 Goblins & Skeletons in the vicinity to feast upon and level up some before climbing the Tower.
  3. ^Balancing is perfectly fine as it is. Only thing that remains is that arrows are still impossible to dodge, meaning enemy rangers with Explosive Arrows will rape your character in two seconds. Problem with archery is finding a good bow. There's only one in Broken Valley that's worth it (quest reward). Just wait til you're level 15 and pick up Explosive Arrows. After that, you'll really kick ass. 'Ranger Stealth' is a pretty good skill to pull enemies from mobs one-by-one without aggroing the entire mob.
  4. SuZe can kick her out of the airlock, in that case.
  5. At least in hard mode there's a bit more to combat in the Witcher than simply clicking the mouse. Using alchemy intelligently is a must. But a very good thing about the Witcher is the possiblity to actually avoid all filler combat by just running away. Try to do that in Dragon Age.
  6. Wouldn't Jacob qualify for that title more? Thane's a frog, after all.
  7. SuZe > Miranda
  8. I prefer the Witcher's setting & atmosphere over DA's. Also, imo environments are much better done in the Witcher. Compare Denerim to Vizima, for instance. The world in the Witcher feels alive, while in DA (just like in ME) the same NPCs stand around at the same spot for ever. In the Witcher citizens will comment as you pass them & they run off when it's raining, among other things.
  9. Meh. I'll take Subject Zero over that one any day.
  10. Leliana & the Scarecrow kicking butt:
  11. Is... is that a gatling gun in one of the screenies? *Soldier playthrough confirmed*
  12. I fear I may have to play some Orlesian pansy in the expansion since in all my endings my PC either entered high society, bit the dust or buzzed off to Par Vollen.
  13. What was amazing about MW is that even random NPCs that were not related to any quests at all could have very unique dialogue.
  14. Is it possible to continue a character in the expansion that was made queen of Ferelden?
  15. Everyone would be immune to the taint.
  16. So there will be Inferno Golems, Spectral Dragons and apparently also Skeletor... but what about Griffons?
  17. If Darkspawn Duncan isn't a boss in Return to Ostagar, I'm going on a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela on my bare feet.
  18. Materializing in front of an enemy and dumping an Arrow of Slaying into the enemy's face, then cloacking again and waiting for Arrow of slaying to recharge is a winning tactic.
  19. That's probably why the hot brunette Cerberus girl is sent along. She holds the remote control. Heh, was David Cage hired as a writer or something?
  20. Insanity & Force Storm are better. Force Storm kills an entire room of enemies, Insanity disables an entire room. Both require Will saves, hence most enemies won't save against it.
  21. Soldier all the way here. That quirky biotic & engineering stuff is why you let the hawt Asari & Quarians tag along.
  22. I've been playing a Dalish archer and it's been pretty good. My only gripe is a general one, namely that playing as a rogue is pointless as one is forced into combat no matter what. One can't even sneak past enemies since opening doors "in combat" is impossible & otherwise one just triggers an avalanche of enemy spawns.
  23. "Dood, where's your head?" Chilling with Joe the Hurlock
