  1. A meteor swarm hurts your party, but a comet doesn't? This is doing Ben Affleck & Bruce Willis a huge disservice.
  2. In BG2 spells like Fireball & Sunfire damage your party, but spells like Horrid Wilting, Dragon's breath & Comet do not... why?
  3. Darklands has dragons & fairies, though.
  4. I have no shame to admit I made a Drow ranger first time I played the game.
  5. Why not cheese the entire Keep with 6 sorcerers?
  6. Mass Effect is Halo, but with more Star Wars, Red Dwarf & Battlestar Galactica thrown on to make it appear deep. I wish sci-fi games would rip-off Dune at all, in lack of any true Dune RPG out there... though I guess the RTS games at least managed to capture the political strife of Dune very well (though House Ordos is complete bollocks).
  7. That's where Creeping doom comes in. As long as the mage isn't directly targeted, it should always work. Creeping doom even neutralizes Draconis.
  8. There's an awesome LP of IWD2 on youtube: This person basically min-maxed his party and went through everything like a Sherman tank through paper.
  9. Finished the infamous indie-game Vampire Hunters. Not sure what the heck it was actually about (it's apparently the sequel to another game I could not find); in the end the main character somehow ended up fighting himself for some reason.
  10. I'm not sure whether I'm looking forward to the horrors of 3rd edition D&D.
  11. Was the Greater Deathblow glitch ever fixed? IIRC activating Greater deathblow (which kills everything with less than 12 HD in one blow) on a fighter, then shooting an explosive arrow into a group of illithids/demons/beholders would kill them all on the spot. Almost all enemies save dragons & bosses have less than 12 HD, so in any case Greater deathblow >>> Greater whirlwind. R00fles!
  12. I finished Secret Files: Tunguska and am now playing Nibiru: age of secrets in preparation of Secret Files 2.
  13. I still have no idea what Belhifet is supposed to be. A baalor? He looks more like a crossbreed of a rakshasa and a minotaur.
  14. Actually in BG you need to press two buttons to win the game: CTRL + Y
  15. I hope somebody brought Protection from Undead scrolls. Isn't there a demilich somewhere?
  16. Beholders, Glabrezu... awesome.
  17. Is that one immune to spike traps?
  18. Anyone seen this yet: Courtesy of BSN.
  19. I predict the third level of WK will be the end for many intrepid adventurers.
  20. Portal, the Citizen Kane of videogames.
  21. They added those stupid puzzles in Episode 2 because otherwise Mr Freeman would have nothing to do but occasionally shine his light & watch how Alyx tears up everything. I'm sure the designers of Mass Effect 2 were inspired by it a lot.
  22. Polygamy didn't die at all. Islam is the fastest growing religion, condones polygamy and is slowly taking over western civilization by means of immigration and outbreeding the native populations. Make of that what you want.
  23. The gameplay is no longer party-based, and it's doubtful the one companion one seems to have in the game can be directly controlled. That's a big change compared to the previous games. DS2 had conversations and even party banter, that's no big deal. I'd guess the few hardcore DS fans that are still around would want nothing more than DS3 to have the exact gameplay as the previous games, but only with better graphics.
