  1. Are you talking about Dragon Age or Baldur's Gate? Because I really wish it was possible to avoid even one battle sequence in Dragon age.
  2. I loved that moment where Miranda gets all butthurt that she's supposed to be genetically engineered to be perfect, yet an earthborn FemShep that never had any higher education and used to hang out with gangs, trumps her in every way.
  3. maybe that's because I tend to skip a lot of side-quests and avoid unnecessary battles. You're playing for the romances story?
  4. AoD is a very underrated game. I played through it three times or so, since it was the only game with good graphics I could play on my computer back in the day. The only thing that really sucks about the game is the sidekick and the level he has to play through, plus the clunky controls, but for the rest it's a decent game overall. Especially the Paris levels are quite memorable (infiltrating the Louvre, fighting through an entire apartment building with a hired killer). It's definitely much better than Legend.
  5. I'll get Witcher 2 & TES V on release. Risen 2 as well, if it comes next year. With Dragon Age 2 & Mass Effect 3 I'll wait for a price drop.
  6. There's nothing nonsensical about TLJ puzzles, save for the rubber ducky they're all quite logical and well-thought out, like the huge island puzzle & the ones where you need to use the potions. Broken Sword: shadow of the Templars & Smoking Mirror, now those are something else (not to mention they include some actiony quick-time events).
  7. Those screenies look like something from Myst.
  8. Son, I am disappoint.
  9. Only RPG released this year was Drakensang: River of Time. Also the best game I played by far, followed by Dragon Knight saga, Gray Matter and perhaps FO:NV.
  10. You got burnt by the rubber ducky, didn't you?
  11. The Deep Roads were ok, really, compared to the Fade and Temple of the urn. Oh, and Howe's estate, aka Fihelis estate Mk II.
  12. OP is right to feel wrong for not loving TLJ. It's the best game of all time, after all.
  13. Doom was darker than Diablo, though. Painkiller would be as well, if it wasn't so deliberately campy.
  14. That vid reminds me of sniping Papa Khan at his dinner table with the Ratslayer.
  15. Divine Divinity > Diablo
  16. At least with Elminster & Storm Silverhand largely stripped of their powers by the Spellplague, no longer will ridiculous excuses have to be found to make an invasion of Shadowdale believable as in certain NWN modules & 2nd edition campaigns.
  17. A documentary/film about Hans-Ulrich Rudel would've been interesting to see.
  18. Demon's Souls combat for DA2 would surely silence a lot of PC elitists. But alas.
  19. Good place to start: http://www.adventuregamers.com/recommendations.php
  20. One reason why I'll probably never re-install Oblivion is that before I lost my installation, I had around 3 Gigs of mods. There's no way I'll ever be able to re-mold the game into what I had before. For Morrowind, it was much simpler, I only installed Better Bodies + Better Faces + a texture conversion mod, and that was it.
  21. It's not like today's AI is any better. Look up some "Crysis AI" on Youtube. And laugh.
  22. That may have been the major reason for the Mass Effect overhaul. Shepard was supposed to be a War Hero/Sole Survivor/Any Other Variation Of Badass, but couldn't hit the broad side of a barn on Horizon and died if an enemy as much as sneezed at him/her.
  23. She kinda reminds me of Lady Deadpool with the number of pouches and catsuit.
  24. I wonder what effect importing a DA:O save will have on the game. Will it go beyond the fluff from ME2? I read in a preview that there's going to be some kind of checklist for people that can't or won't import. I have no more endgame saves of DA:O left and do not own Awakenings, so if I have to trudge through it again (like I'll need to do for the Witcher 2) it has to be worth it. EDIT: which expansion(s) & DLCs are considered plot-critical? Awakenings, Ostagar & Whitch Hunt?
