  1. Risen is not very fun to play in the beginning if you plan to be a mage. You're forced to fight several guys in melee, slowly chipping away their health bar and blocking like a Roman legion while they can knock you out in one hit (especially that "boss" that's guarding the back door out of the city).
  2. Lara Croft's origin story is that she survived a plane crash with mommy when she was 9 and then mommy disappeared through the gates of oblivion after Lara triggered an ancient artifact. That's the reason why she started adventuring later on, mommy (& daddy) issues. The previous time an attempt at re-imagining Lara Croft was made (Angel of Darkness), a development studio died.

  5. I finished Two Worlds 2 yesterday. Good game overall, but the ending is absolutely terrible. Reality Pump must've run out of time or something.
  6. Ego Draconis was easy because damage was level-based, meaning if you outleveled enemies eventually they would do 0 damage to you even when you fought naked. This basically broke the game once you knew what you were doing. DKS removes the level-based damage, but it was possible to get some weapons & armour with overpowered enchantments very early, again making the game very easy for melee characters (it's easy for a mage & archer regardless). This has been patched recently. DKS also removed some high-leveled mobs and changed the design of certain areas completely. In my experience, the beginning in Broken Valley is (much) easier, but the rest of the game is about the same difficulty overall.
  7. I had a hard time getting them all out of Brewer Beer's bootlegging. Vault 22 was annoying as well... I couldn't use the elevators because one or two would be left behind. Also, when I decided to take the more aggressive path in the Tops, my companions killed everyone in the casino (but still managed to let Benny escape).

  9. Yeah, across the river. No map marker. If you have multiple human companions to tank for you it can be total chaos! But you can also do the usual sniping/can't touch me business. It's also the spot that OK, thanks. I'll go in there with six companions.
  10. If one never interacts with party members, will they just remain neutral, meaning doing their jobs without all the drama? Or will they demand attention by questioning your decisions all the time? As useful as Morrigan was in DA:O, she was equally annoying that way.

  13. You always keep Khelgar, Grobnar, Jerro and the githzerai. Should be enough to win, provided you crafted/bought them all some uber equipment & weapons.

  15. Bethesda doesn't "get" Darklands.
  16. You always lose either Sand or Qara before the final battle.
  17. There are no monsters that can kill you in one hit (unless you venture into a dungeon at level 1). The few times I died was because of falling from a high ledge. But generally all monsters require tactics to beat, and if you get ganged by too many you can easily die. Then again, since potions work immediately and can be used during combat it's not too much of a problem.

  19. Isn't Witcher 2 combat going full ADHD whack 'n slash? At least the first one was deferred whack 'n slash, with the time-based clicking.
  20. Why does every romance partner have to be a party member? Can't they just introduce a childhood friend or something who stays at home while you're running around doing stuff?
  21. Imoen was as much your sibling in BG as Yaga-Shura, Sendai, Balthazar and Abazigal were. Since a god was behind the conception, the link between the Bhaalspawn was hardly biological. So an Imoen romance, while awkward, could work perfectly.
  22. Apostate mage that ran off with a noble woman? I sense a lot of incoming family drama stories.

I think they never show up because they might engage in fights with any NCR they'd encounter otherwise, and wipe the NCR out (regardless of the Helios One shoehorn, the Brotherhood can't possibly lose a fight against the NCR in the actual game, save maybe several veteran rangers) which might break some quests.
