  1. You mean there are already multiple threads exceeding 5,000 pages? Wow.
  2. Hopefully CD keeps using the great engine. Legend, Anniversary & Underworld ran silk smooth even on my subpar computer.
  3. How much did the publisher pay to get Rihanna into the game (see the trailer)?
  4. You could add them to your quickbar and/or just use the sausages to make one or two health potions.
  5. I always tended to believe it, given that you have a god helping you out. But I do like me some ambiguity. You mean Azura? Not exactly a god, and (s)he clearly had her own agenda, namely taking down the Tribunal for stealing away her people's worship and humiliating her. She created the prophecy in the first place, you're just the first "chosen one" of many that doesn't fail. In the game you're being played as a fiddle by the Emperor, a Daedric Lord, Vivec and even Dagoth Ur to a point. It would be rage-worthy, if you didn't become so awesome that Bethesda had to send you off to Akavir in Oblivion.
  6. There's plenty of drama in Angel of Darkness & Legend/Underworld. It's good they're going back to the lone adventuring from the pre-2000 titles.
  7. Everything's a RPG nowadays.
  8. English voice acting is decent overall. But the subtitles of one major character stop corresponding with the actual voice-over someway half through the game. Basically, this character acts friendly & helpful in the subtitles, but as a snotty ***** in the voice-over. This made it pretty clear to me that at some point the devs did a retcon.
  9. In Morrowind you aren't the chosen one, but you could be depending on which side you choose to believe.
  10. Was there still communication between East and West Coast? Maybe the Western chapter simply didn't know about it. At the very least, it must take months for news to travel between East and West without vertibirds.
  11. If by competent you are referring to Arkane Studios, I agree.
  12. In the Witcher at least you can flip over enemies and manually dodge, which is occasionally necessary when surrounded. Melee in Risen is clunky and controlling Nameless One feels like trying to steer a cement truck. It's high time some action RPG developer copies Blade of Darkness combat, which was both highly tactical and fast-paced.
  13. I disliked Legend, but Anniversary was pretty good. Underworld continued the rubbish plot from Legend and was ridiculously short, but it had Thailand & Mexico which were excellent levels. Angel of Darkness... is kinda the Alpha Protocol of Tomb Raider games.
  14. Lara has a bow She kinda looks like Jessica Alba to me.
  15. Odysseus was a King. In Dungeon Siege you start as a farmer working his or her land, then literally throw away your shovel and start killing things (or start killing things with the shovel).
  16. That's almost Dungeon Siege in a nutshell.
  17. Risen is not very fun to play in the beginning if you plan to be a mage. You're forced to fight several guys in melee, slowly chipping away their health bar and blocking like a Roman legion while they can knock you out in one hit (especially that "boss" that's guarding the back door out of the city).
  18. Lara Croft's origin story is that she survived a plane crash with mommy when she was 9 and then mommy disappeared through the gates of oblivion after Lara triggered an ancient artifact. That's the reason why she started adventuring later on, mommy (& daddy) issues. The previous time an attempt at re-imagining Lara Croft was made (Angel of Darkness), a development studio died.
  19. It's clear that Larian wants .
  20. Why pick locks in DA:O? They never contain anything of worth.
  21. I finished Two Worlds 2 yesterday. Good game overall, but the ending is absolutely terrible. Reality Pump must've run out of time or something.
  22. Ego Draconis was easy because damage was level-based, meaning if you outleveled enemies eventually they would do 0 damage to you even when you fought naked. This basically broke the game once you knew what you were doing. DKS removes the level-based damage, but it was possible to get some weapons & armour with overpowered enchantments very early, again making the game very easy for melee characters (it's easy for a mage & archer regardless). This has been patched recently. DKS also removed some high-leveled mobs and changed the design of certain areas completely. In my experience, the beginning in Broken Valley is (much) easier, but the rest of the game is about the same difficulty overall.
  23. I had a hard time getting them all out of Brewer Beer's bootlegging. Vault 22 was annoying as well... I couldn't use the elevators because one or two would be left behind. Also, when I decided to take the more aggressive path in the Tops, my companions killed everyone in the casino (but still managed to let Benny escape).
  24. Deathdealer just wanted an excuse to post his favourite videogame MILF.
  25. Yeah, across the river. No map marker. If you have multiple human companions to tank for you it can be total chaos! But you can also do the usual sniping/can't touch me business. It's also the spot that OK, thanks. I'll go in there with six companions.
