  1. What the hell.
  2. Morrowind had so many great characters. I loved that cantankerous Telvanni master in Tel Naga, and the crazy chick in Tel Branora that would flip out after she told you to wear her clothes. Divayth Fyr was great as well, basically the Elminster of the Elder Scrolls universe. And of course, Vivec. The Lusty Argonian Maid by Crassius Curio A (mercifully short) excerpt from Crassius Curio's bawdy play Act IV, Scene III, continued Lifts-Her-Tail: Certainly not, kind sir! I am here but to clean your chambers. Crantius Colto: Is that all you have come here for, little one? My chambers? Lifts-Her-Tail: I have no idea what it is you imply, master. I am but a poor Argonian maid. Crantius Colto: So you are, my dumpling. And a good one at that. Such strong legs and shapely tail. Lifts-Her-Tail: You embarrass me, sir! Crantius Colto: Fear not. You are safe here with me. Lifts-Her-Tail: I must finish my cleaning, sir. The mistress will have my head if I do not! Crantius Colto: Cleaning, eh? I have something for you. Here, polish my spear. Lifts-Her-Tail: But it is huge! It could take me all night! Crantius Colto: Plenty of time, my sweet. Plenty of time. END OF ACT IV, SCENE III
  3. 1) one character + one AI controlled companion or companion in co-op 2) am not familiar with the game you mention, but it seems it's like Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance
  4. A Jedi consular/jedi master rarely needs more than one LS to take out rooms. Especially with that force damage-boosting technique. Anyway, initial stats don't matter much since with all the crafting & overpowered gear you will eventually raise all your attributes over 20 without even trying.
  5. That may be a Daedric ruin. Which reminds me, it would be nice if (limited) Levitation is back in, similar to Risen. Morrowind had a lot of instances where the Z-axis was put to good use.
  6. Worst. Avatars. Ever.
  7. Apparently the Aerie/Na'vi clone is supposed to be the mage apprentice from the Dalish origin. I didn't even recognize her.
  8. There was always something interesting to find in FO3's random locations, like notes, terminals, schematics, bobbleheads, unique weapons... NV has many empty locations that feel added just to fill up the world. Like that building south of New Vegas that's nothing but one floor with a few giant ants. In FO3 such a location doesn't even get named. In NV, ultimately there is hardly anything of interest outside the main quest, FO3 is the reverse. NV even punishes exploration since all faction (fetch) quests take one all across the map anyway, meaning people that already explored the entire map before hitting the main quest Bethesda-style got served the boring cake. Anyway, (preliminary) Skyrim map:
  9. Don't Elves have the same lifespan as humans in DA? Hawke's voice acting is really bland, worse than Shepard. With the British accent, it sounds like watching a documentary on the BBC. Hopefully female Hawke will be better.
  10. I'm (re)playing Summoner and the combat is pretty similar to the Witcher, having to press at the right time to 'chain' attacks. I forgot how much fun it is to sneak around with the thief and backstab. The Witcher 1 sorely misses stealth, it's good that the sequel will expand the gameplay at least a bit.
  11. Behind the scenes of Skyrim
  12. I tried crossing the mountain ranges between Goodsprings and Nipton many times to reach empty triangles, but couldn't do it due to invisible walls even though it should've been physically possible. It pissed me off and made me feel like I was being nudged towards Nipton.
  13. Risen & the Gothics are the best open-world games. Perfect combination of a game world that feels alive, story & freeform exploration without the need for any invisible barriers preventing one from crossing even a mole-hill if it would lead to being distracted from the main story.
  14. Considering there are supposed to be "rivalries" in the game, the other one could work as well.
  15. If anyone outside Bethesda should do a TES spin-off, it's Arkane Studios (already happily acquired by Zenimax). Judging from NV, Obsidian doesn't really get open-world games. For all we know, perhaps Arkane already contributed here and there.
  16. So, a murdered family. I wonder what tortured pasts and/or neuroses the other party members will turn up with.
  17. Well, in Oblivion Imperial guards were way above your level in the beginning. Also, Umbra.
  18. The entire Drow race is probably inspired by Melnibon
  19. That's up to Bethesda.
  20. I can imagine an entire town fighting to the death over a dropped rusty dagger.
  21. Elric of Melnibon
