Rather than ripping off Uncharted, it would have been better to rip off the Assassin's Creed 2+ games. Those games have some pretty good platforming and puzzle solving across various historical sites. And combat was mostly stealth based rather than gung-ho action. The older Tomb Raider games were kind of nonsensical in this regard, e.g. fighting Roman zombies in the Colosseum.

The real controversy should be inducing kids to eat Cheerios.

Angel of Darkness actually has some brilliant Paris levels. It turns bad in Prague when that stupid sidekick shows up. The game flopped because it was unplayable at launch, and had even more clunky controls than the previous Tomb Raiders. Still, I rate it higher than any of the Crystal Dynamics vehicles (Anniversary doesn't count since it's a remake).

Without a lighting mod the game looks really dull and washed out; vanilla textures are terrible as well. I wouldn't want to play it on console.

Dragons are scaled like Oblivion, the first one you fight is basically just a firebreathing cliffracer.

The only creature in Failout 3 that really annoyed me was the giant radscorpion, who were everywhere in the western part of the map, moved very silently and always came in pairs. In New Vegas, those geckos were everywhere.

Lara kills more in her latest venture than in all previous Tomb Raiders combined. Then again, the series turned into a full action game when Crystal Dynamics took the wheel anyway. I don't recall any puzzles in the few dungeons of Legend and Underworld at all, and dungeon design is so boring and straightforward in those games too. And worse of all, the mommy/daddy issues story.
