Random video game news... RNG is your friend!
Problem with the statue is that its size is wrong (and the color / paint details). Here's the original for comparison: The figure in the pack looks much wider, different wheel and all that jazz. I'm guessing they did it like that to make it break less easily and get less refunds. You can probably 3d print your own much cheaper and closer to the real thing than that.

$160 special edition rerelease of FNV with some crappy merch, lol. Does the game even work on a modern PC without mods? This is so.. I don't even know what to say man. Bethsoft didn't give a **** about the game for 10+ years. Guess they finally realized that people actually like FNV. Time to power up the milk machine!

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, Thread 2
Nothing I've seen about it makes me want to play it. *Maybe* I would check it out if it would be on Xbox Game Pass (no idea if it is), but since I canceled my subscription not too long ago because of the price hike, there is literally no chance of me seeing the game in person anytime soon (or ever).

What are you Playing Now? Volume XIX: The New Beginning of the End of the Middle
Best examples for that are Pillars 1 and inXile's Torment, imo. Both (Torment worse than Pillars1) have a lot of dialog that is terribly overwritten and just horrible to read. And I don't even mean the baker characters. Especially Torment went way over board with descriptive text... You'll just end up skipping all of that after a couple hours. Though I'm not really blaming them - back then we all still thought that lots of text means good RPG. I blame Planescape: Torment for that, lol. Once those games were out and I've learned that a lot of text doesn't mean that it's good, I started to really appreciate Fo1's writing again. It's short, to the point, and never wastes your time. Very nice.

The TV and Streaming Thread: That's Entertainment!
Finished Genie, Make a Wish. Ended up liking it more than I originally thought I would. Probably not going to watch it ever again, but it did give me some emotions, so I'll rate it as not bad.

What are you Playing Now? Volume XIX: The New Beginning of the End of the Middle
You know, I was just thinking.. back when Pillars 2 released and they added voice over for every dialog, I was like.. why, what's the point of that? Such a waste! But now I'm kinda glad they did. Feels a lot better and interesting to play, also it stops writers from text bloat, which I find highly annoying and tedious to read. Same thing with Disco Elysium. With one of the later updates, they added VO to every single line of dialog, and while I hated it at first, now I think it's good and nice and I like it. I'm playing WH40k Rogue Trader right now, and it sucks that not everything is voiced. I get why, of course, but still... if I could, I'd prefer full voice nowadays. 😕

What You've Done Today...or yesterday...or what you are doing RIGHT THIS MINUTE!!!
Win11 is ok-ish most of the time if you change some config stuff first (like bringing back the original right-click menu and changing explorer tree view). However, it's still a terrible experience compared to 10 or 7.

The TV and Streaming Thread: That's Entertainment!
I'm in ep 6 or 7 now as well. I'm a bit torn on it. On the one hand I would keep watching, but on the other I don't really like the story. I don't hate it, but it's also not something that really, totally, absolutely makes me want to keep watching. Guess deep down I just want more of Uncontrollably Fond, or hell, even Doona.

All I heard about it was that it's bad, so I never even bothered with it. No clue if I ever will.

Watched the first episode and this is not at all what I was expecting. 😄 Psychopathic Bae Suzy who likes to murder? Curious where this is going.

What are you Playing Now? Volume XIX: The New Beginning of the End of the Middle
Decided to finally get Warhammer 40K Space Marines 2, since it was 50% off in Steam sale. So far I like it. The graphics are very crips and sharp. Can't really remember much of the first game, tbh, but I think they added lots of new stuff like combos, parry, dodge, etc? Anyways. So far not bad, but I can't play for more than an hour or so, then it starts to get a bit much for me.

There's been reports about hacked hospitals here again as well. Very likely that we know who's causing this.

Cinema and Movie Thread: coming 2 a theater near u
For me it's more like... I probably liked it more when everything felt more "down to earth" - the more other super heroes they slap into a movie, the more weird and disconnected it feels to me. Jeez, they destroyed almost the whole town (again) in the movie. Then I look outside the window here and see that we have a road under construction for 10 years already. Technically the whole super hero world would probably have to be in ruins, because no way in hell is anyone rebuilding this fast. Guess this is why I liked the earlier Spider-Man a bit more. The scales weren't that huge yet. Not everything was a world shattering event. Hell, give me a movie about Superman rescuing a cat from a tree or something, I dunno. Just... not everything always has to be so big. It's the same with the Punisher... I really liked it when he was a lone guy, doing lone guy things. Now it's Punisher and Daredevil and Electra and what's all their names... it just doesn't feel the same anymore.
