  1. Today was my last day of vacation... I got very used to not working. Ugh, how will I cope with this change in my life.

Finished Jack Ryan yesterday. It's not bad... but has some facepalming moments. Would watch a season 2, though.

It's probably a bit heresy, but I kinda like the old tv show. It's super trashy, but still I cannot not connect it to the old books. /Edit: And now I want to read the first two books again.
  4. "You WOULDN'T BELIEVE what happens if you drop dung somewhere!" This video is horrible clickbait cancer.
  5. I was working 4 days / week a couple years ago. 9 hours every day, but friday off. At first it was pretty nice, but after maybe half a year or some more I got used to it and it felt just like the 5 days workweek before. Weekend was over in a heartbeat and mondays were still crap. :D The only really good thing was that on a thursday evening, I was able to head to Berlin city and visit the fancy clubs with them boys. No stupid children around or anything like that. It was pretty nice. Such stuff just isn't possible if you have to work the next day.
  6. It's a bit of a shame, because I thought season 3 was a lot better than season 2. Also the ending of season 3 made me want to see more. :/
  7. Maybe this game is for mentally challenged people. Don't judge.
  8. It is assumed folks don't like to read long text, so everything is shortened to the bare minimum. Not the actual dialog, though... because you can listen to it after and don't need to read it. It's pretty funny in L.A. Noir, imo, when you chose a calm sounding dialog option and your character yells it in the NPCs face. :D
  9. Looks like finally something funny happens in the funny things thread!
  10. Then I wouldn't have been able to comment it before.
  11. ^ that's what happens if you only post stuff into funneh things thread, but don't actually read it.
  12. ^ Should give them a tattoo at birth with their ID. I'm sure nothing bad will come out of it.
  13. I guess they just have an easier access to the guns.
  14. See, kids?! This is why the Japs got the nukes...well, that and the fact that the yanks were itching to drop a nuke somewhere. I have a Chinese coworker and never have heard her say anything positive about the Japanese.
  15. Just buy a big SSD from Samsung. A HDD maybe if you know you have to save lots of data... in that case, anything under 2TB is a waste of money nowadays, though. Cooling isn't that hard either. I think most stats are pretty clear on what you need-- big fan with little noise as possible. It's just a matter of money. Power source, yeah, maybe, but again, not much choice here... in worst case, reviews are pretty clear on this stuff. Did i mentioned I am min/maxer in this kind of things Well, that's a problem you have to deal with on your own. But generally I think it's not that much of a big deal. You just google for stuff like "power supply for mainboard x" and you'll likely get at least some people more qualified talking about it. Monitor, though, is a thing I have problems with myself. Last one I bought was the Asus VG248QE for 300€ a while back. It's a good monitor, BUT the colors are off. They are more "cinematic", with strong blue tone and crap like that. I've spend hours on trying to even this out, because for the work I do, I need my colors to be as true to "real" as possible... after a couple hours of tweaking I just gave up and settled with the closest thing I could get. It sucks and by now I wish I would have bought a different monitor.

  17. Meh, hardest part is mainboard + processor ... and maybe graphic card. Everything else is pretty much a no-brainer. Buy fast DDR4 ram and I think that's it? Depending on available money - imo - it's really not that hard anymore. I still remember the days where buying a certain mainboard or graphic card would mean that you couldn't play certain games. So glad we're past that.
  18. You ppl talking about gunplay, but the only thing I have seen as worrying is the mmo-esque bulletsponge numbers popping up from damaged enemies.
  19. Looks interesting. I'd play it.
  20. Uhm, so CD Project Red is just streaming the Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay right now: https://www.twitch.tv/cdprojektred
  21. Uh, this video is a couple months old already.
  22. Nice stomping beat.
  23. Desperados 3 looks great.
  24. Why on earth are you even in this thread? This is for people who SPECIFICALLY paid more for physical items, including the game, box, book, etc. Your comment could not be more irrelevant. Maybe stick to threads where your opinion provides some value. This is not it. lol. Triggered much, huh?
