  1. Surprised they would deploy T-62s as everyone keeps saying - the video I saw was of them in Russia actually, so wrong on my part. Russia has ~8000 T-72s in storage, no ?
  2. Didn't write anything about weight loss though, just a joke that kids carrying a 16 lb plate carrier would help them get muscles. Hm, I wonder if they can work active shooter drills into PE in schools - or do they do so already in some US schools ?
  3. More hull types would be nice, as well. Hm, maybe I should just go replay SEIV.
  4. I think that's the same one I'm thinking of, will have to wait until I can access a paywall dodging site to check but I didn't take the impression that they were demanding Ukraine give up land or anything but just that they may have to do that, and also the US support has limits which may or may not be explained clearly to the Ukrainians - I think it is, don't imagine either they are so dumb to labour under false impressions or the US would be so dishonest with a friendly nation. At least some good news - https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/may/24/ukrainian-soldiers-captured-at-azovstal-plant-in-satisfactory-conditions
  5. Teachers need to wear body armor. And the kids too, the added weight will help them build muscle!
  6. Well, I guess I should have expected as much, didn't dabble too much in my learning game.
  7. I didn't really see much of the appeasement in the NYT piece. Just seemed pessimistic a tad, well and the US stance on things being unclear.
  8. Sadly, the judge did not agree.
  9. Go visit BC or something, why go visit Wannabe America ? 😛
  10. Politics in Canada truly is pretty boring, take for example this attempt at a hit piece -https://globalnews.ca/news/8845828/del-duca-riding-association-50k-high-end-restaurants/ $50,000 on restaurants! Over 6 years.
  11. I learned that killing your boss can be a good thing.
  12. Friend played Stellaris due to free weekend, so went back to that. Was fun to re-learn the game. Still suck at it, got the Unbidden invading and they pretty much wrecked me. But good to see espionage is finally in (they've caught up to SEIV ! 😛 )
  13. This must be done by some libertarian jagoff. Wait, that's redundant.
  14. I can see why Will left.
  15. Well they have large numbers in the west, getting ready, so at least still have capability.
  16. Was the most enjoyable part of the game for me, shame there weren't more cases.
  17. Had to do some work on the weekend, apparently the internal team doing the work I have to check isn't aware I exist. I forget what it is managers actually get paid for...
  18. You're describing the people, not the land.
  19. Wrong Greek (well, ok person of Greek heritage), that was Basil Pouledoris

  21. Well crap, he did have a good run at 79 though. Blade Runner Blues is a favourite of mine. Heh, also the video for Chariots of Fire is great, with him taking long drags of a cig while watching the film.
  22. https://www.cnn.com/2022/05/19/politics/senate-vote-ukraine-aid-package/index.html A good day for the arms industry
  23. I hate puzzles where you have to remember and reproduce tones in adventure games, hardest puzzle in Crowns and Pawns so far was that, trying to hear a muffled tone in the distance, hah. Delightfully absurd, caused Belarus to win by putting up a flag and making the crowd chant "Goal!" or "Defense!"
