  1. I've read a recent report by some russian officer, proper patriotic Z-head but not delusional, about inflated hit vehicle numbers hows (basically staged photoshoots from different angles) and whys (for the brass). While Ukraine's senior officers are mostly under the same falsification-lovin' soviet doctrine still, they at least have "foreign consultants" who largely curb fiction.
  2. As it should be. What's the genius behind this idea, Norwegian? Well if he's so generous, he can always offer Svalbard to russia instead.
  3. That bug of enemies nocliping to you through the walls is much less amusing when Playful Darkness does that. Looking at his sheet got me thinking again that it's either a backer character or one of the devs let their anime loving nine year old to design a character as a birthday present.
  4. What's with Larian and squirrels? DOS2 had a delusional squirrel (riding a cat of all things) that not even death could rid you of. Judging by its ~wacky antics~ I think I was supposed to find it endearing, whereas all I wanted is an option to say "Hey cat, want me to kill your parasite?"
  5. So my Lich walked into assassins' guild of City of the Loading Screens on Greybor business. This time I decided to rough up that Yozz guy a little and so I did. Unfortunately, my repurposed thralls also walked into the guild ("secret location" my arse ) when combat started, one of them acid flask flinging alchemist, another ice storm-happy sorcerer...yeah, party's two meatbags didn't have much chance in friendly crossfire. Bone dudes and lady survived long enough to get "I yield!" conversation, but the game hanged here. Probably couldn't process infinity of spiders.
  6. Ehhhhh, even before Great Ball of Fire took her empathy away, when he told her what's her punishment, she wasn't "Oh no, he wants me to ruin innocent people because of my own hubris" but "Oh no, where can I find so many kingdoms to ruin?" So no, still a psychopath and no sympathy from me. Oh and speaking of romances. I run several lichless and thus Neniofull parties now and girl needs to get laid so bad, for all her self-professed "I am such a professional dedicated scientist" schtick she's very insistent about constantly pestering everyone with sex-related questions and factoids.
  7. One of numerous things I'm baffled about Owlcat's storytelling is how they make an irredeemable villain and then give them a redemption arc. Those sekrit endings in both KM and WOTR are like, "And then Legate Lanius took up gardening for a hobby and lived happily ever after with Courier in cream colored cottage, fostering kittens and supplying ecological avocadoes to local hipsters"
  8. My guess would be....urk......multiplayer.
  9. Completely normal spell + Bubblebuffs mod = giant cheat and I love it. In other news, beer mug Azata summons aggroed next room tenants in that big circular room in Blackwater, who all rushed in right through the walls. The party was buffed up to the gills so wasn't big deal, but from now on that "Control Summons" option in toybox stays ticked, cheaty or not. (Also, missed such a chance to name shaman's wolf "Day Tripper"). In another playthrough, had the druid polymorphed into Shambling Mound, found "Grapple" toggle among its abilities, toggled it to see what it does, and what it does is break turn-based combat - when it is its turn, he slaps the other guy with its appendages and everything halts. Turn-based on/off, slap again. On/off, slap! Like four times, and then I regain control and slap the guy another four or five times, guess because we're hasted? I have no idea what is happening here and why but I like it. Makes sense too, Shambling Mound has a lot of appendages and they all are made for slapping.
  10. That No Stars song start tricked me into believing there's gonna be guitar solo but there wasn't. So here's guitar solo.
  11. It's them who are dying out there. Ghouls from safe, rich, fat places who complain that counteroffensive isn't ~showy~ enough for their tastes can go f*ck themselves.
  12. Lol, judging by muzik Majestic was such a cheesy youth. Me, on the other hand, listened to edgier cooler things, like Scooter was for drunken parties only.
  13. I was very happy with my Lich's romance with Daeran, when It was all so romantic.
  14. Witcher, season 3. I somewhat liked it overall and even have ideas for its future -- i.e. the most natural way to swap Cavill with a Hemsworth would be replace all actors but Ciri and tell the audience she just shifted to another dimension which is totally book canon. Speaking of books. Seems like the show left itself a way to split the party like the books did, where CIri goes off with the Rats and then solo, Yen goes politicking and Geralt makes a new party (he has the bard and the ranger so far, the fallen Blackguard is definitely coming, not so sure about the rogue and Very OP Outsider. They might not want cast bloat, but on the other hand, they just did some culling). Might be interesting, might be crap. Hard to say with these showrunners. Liked the fighting in this season, esp. Vilgefortz getting his double saber Sith freak on, mage fight was fun to watch too (go, Tissaia! ). Shame about Cavill's departure. And just when I finally feel a little invested in further development.
  15. Went in to see if anything crashes and just was about to report that "It works on my machine ¯\_(ツ)_/¯" when I remembered I rolled back the patch. Noticed another interesting thing, though - my party kills possibly a bit better and saves against all bullsh†t certainly better. Guess that big huge tl;dr patch fixed some of never-worked-from-the-start modifiers or something.
  16. Summons are self-sabotaging idiots, the best you can do is throw them at something to waste spells and other things and pray they won't run to some lonely enemy at the opposite edge of the map, eating every attack of opportunity on the way. Toybox has the option for controllable summons, and turning it on ain't even cheating. Lich's Repurpose spell is hilarious even if raised minions are braindead. In Alushinyrra its effect never expired for some reason, so whenever I went there a small but growing army of Balrogs etc. happily hoofed to welcome me back. I felt so loved. I also repurposed the Overtuned Furry, but that one was on a timer and the dungeon was cleared anyway. You have that Triceratops figurine? Put your Lich on him if you want a mount. He's probably squishier than you are, but for some reason nobody ever targeted my Lich or his mount as if we were invisible, so won't hurt to try.
  17. That's why you carpet the place with traps before they spawn.
  18. Always been. My GPU doesn't fancy it much either, so much I have to cap FPS and avoid playing in hot weather. Launched it yesterday to see if patch rollback borked anything (it did, but reloading same save file helped for some reason) and if I want to proceed with my abandoned Aeon. Nah, not yet...but kinda want to make yet another Lich sorcerer. I read this is widespread disease in JRPGs. Me, I only played two of them, both had multiple incidents of this garbage and made me wish for a kill everyone playthrough. Speaking of Bioware, they had this "win the impossible battle" situation in Dragon Age: Origins. If you won, you got the impossible boss's Big F††ing Sword. If lost, you had to spring yourself from jail while your party of misfits tried to do the same from the other side of the door. Either result was rewarding in its own way and the whole scene was really good.
  19. Oh, I know. That's the reason I use that thing only for music, phone calls, some (paid, ad-free) games for unavoidable queues and keep its email separate from ones I use on PC. I also know just how bad google tracking is, and that Windows does it too, but just because I have a mild parasite infestation does not mean I must be okay with every parasite that wants to come my way.
  20. Yuck. Should have read the patch notes before clicking install. GOG allows patch reverting, but I kind of want to scrub it off my machine completely. P.S.: someone tech-savvy should test if ad sh†t was truly removed. Could be very well damage control lies.
  21. Yeah, that feat is a must on casters. Countering buff hullabaloo is a Very Good Thing (side-eyeing you so hard, Wrathfinder ), but surely a caster should be able to wrangle more than one spell at a time, no? And I don't quite get the logic behind it, like, Mage Armor is not a concentration spell but Barkskin is?
  22. Solasta. Really not a fan of that concentration thing, so much that I avoid picking spells with this tag when leveling. Why is this? To make casters less OP? Why not make a dude with a zweihander less boring instead?
  23. One man's balance is another's idea of fun. I personally found PoE and especially Deadfire way, way more fun to play than that double-cheese deluxe aka Wrathfinder. It means I can get creative within given set of rules and experience this wondrous, liberating thing of playing with any possible class combination instead of "take loremaster for spellcasting gouda, take a level in monk for camembert style, (alignment? **** that, you can change it later anyway); rogue? Don't be stupid, play a vivisectionist, oh and did I mention fondue monk dip? () you totally should take that" etc. To each their own of course, but my fingers crossed for Sawyer not taking parmesan bites from Owlcat's charcuterie.
