Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Part 5
bugarup replied to Gromnir's topic in Computer and Console
Yeah, that quest is busted, its location won't show up unless you talk to some throwaway merc dude in Act 3 and you have to go out of your way to find him. I didn't bother to do this quest even after I read how to get it proper. -

Lich ain't overrated, especially if you like playing spellcasters, because Lich spells ignore spell resistance. There's also neat stuff like feat that lets you do attribute damage when the spell hits, so combine, say, rays or selective area damage spell with it and oh my sweet sweet schadenfreude, say, how do you like your own tricks being used against you, game? Not so smug now, eh? And that's the reason I cannot stop making new Liches. -

Why are you going to screw that quest? Soz is harmless and goes along well with Liches and Tricksters both and it won't affect anything much if you give him his brother back. Didn't Smug Mug send you an invitation? She always did for me even before I mopped up all the quests. Maybe it's location sensitive, because she always caught me right before leaving her girlfriend's pad of lava an injustice. -
Where's crafting? It must have crafting, given the protagonist. It's canon!

Ukraine Conflict - "An empire founded by war has to maintain itself by war"
bugarup replied to Lexx's topic in Way Off-Topic
Not worth it, sure, but could be deliberate anyway. Fleeing from Kherson with their tails between the legs, "G19", scrotum voodoo doll's no-show there and sad horse's hospital time, things like that all chip away at their moronic "RUSSIA STRONK!!!" narrative they seem incapable of even adjusting, let alone letting go. Bombing Ukrainian cities cannot cut it anymore because it is already routine for them, why not ruffle NATO's feathers by letting missiles "accidentally" graze its corner. Because "So what? Whatchagonna do, gayropeans, huh? Huh????" -
Tried to buy it through M$ Store, understood why nobody uses it. I wonder if I Pentiment and, say, buy Pillars for someone as a gift on GOG, will it still technically count as piracy?

I'm reading they're firing Calibers, X-101 and X-555s that are supposed to be high precision missiles? Interesting how their high precision missiles still hit apartment blocks and civilian infrastructure just like their low precision missiles... -
Is Courier even from California? In any way, I spent many hundreds of hours in NV, never sided with the Legion once and likely I never will. Was kinda committed a couple of times, but as soon as I get to the Legion encampment they say Legion things aaaaaaand look at the time, it's murder o'clock again.

You can only successfully, er, "date" Lexi with a demon, she's into dudes who like to ~assert dominance~. I loved Trickster's way with her, though it might seem a little objectifying. Also, Wrathfinder requiring meta knowledge on top of system minutiae is why I don't feel like I deprive myself of challenge in a fun way when I mod the **** out of all the nuisances. Fighting cheating with cheating is only fair. There is impossibly tacky devil hanging out now in my Aeon's HQ. Golden frilly skirt, three set of wings and all of them gaudy, three sets of horns and all of them overcompensating for something, ripped like a gym freak too. All he misses is a purple feathered hat and I'd feel compelled to build a brothel. -

The same article also says that actual numbers might be quite different as both sides thorougly guard such statistics, so in other words, nobody knows really. -

Nah, that's just basic "There is a lot of us". Russians do have a morbidly hilarious saying regarding war losses, something like "No big deal, broads (pejorative бабы) will birth out some more". -

VVs are no slouches after nerf either. It was them who mass-terrified that horde of mythic path leftovers that turned up to help my Legend dude, including the huge poser devil in fancy dress (Mephistopheles I think?) and Smug Mug's brother-lover (Sogothbenot? ...said Yoda to his teenager granddaugther...). Was funny to see them brownpants puffing their chests afterwards, saying stuff like "We sure annihilated them, yay me!" -

Regarding those "Damned if I do, damned if I don't" posts -- subtitles are correct, but you gotta understand that there is no rule of law in russia, law's just a tool of ruling cleptocracy's. Nevzorov once dug up some article that makes that old baboon a criminal for starting the war, and so what? So if someone wants to give you 10 years for peaceful protest, they will find a way, and if you're in top caste and killed a five year old on the crosswalk while driving drunk, you can sue his parents for damage to your car and win the case too. -

I'm reading reports that russians mined everything to hell, so progress is going to be slow because of this reason too. Fingers crossed those scumbags do not destroy the dam as part of their scorched earth doctrine. ...really not waiting for more war crime testimonies, but there is going to be. Oh, and Gauleiter of Kherson's deputy of sorts, particularly scummy Stremousov, died in a "car accident". There are quite a few theories floating that it was inside job, what methinks is more appropriate "Eat karma, bitch!" than if Ukrainians murked him. -

Not as much as "withdrawing" as "getting swept out like trash they are", but otherwise correct. -

Whichever side breaches the dam, it's still russians who are reportedly stealing ambulance vehicles, boats (and sinking ones that they don't steal) etc. from Kherson and settlements around the dam. Cause you know, those civilians ain't gonna kill themselves if the dam does go kablooey. -

Wrathfinder's "Horrid wilting" is more like "Skipped-watering-yesterday wilting" compared to same spell in D&D-based spell. Same with "Hum of the banshee" and "Finger of mild cardiac arrest", like, if game forgets to cheat for once and that peg-legged, sickly, Alzheimer-ridden minor demon you are trying to attack with it fails both saves, it still does kitten scratch damage because of some innate resistances or **** like that. That's probably what annoys me the most with Pathfinder - trillion gazillion spells and not a 10% of them are worthy to bother with. Aaaaanyway. Dinged the Aeon level with the druid, completely forgot I have spell book merge mod so he'll be alright even if shapeshifting does not work out. Still feels kinda weak after Lich and Angel -> Legend. Have probably the nicest theme music though and cool visual effects (that unfortunately bug out constantly, making him leave his blue swirlies behind, and city streets are full of blue constellation clusters that do not belong to anyone. -

I do agree about needless excessive consumption that could be curbed in these trying times and that's it's OK for outbidden (is there such a word even?) countries to feel slighted and owe nothing to Europe, and that is indeed absolutely 100% not their fault, which is because it is 100% absolutely russia's fault. Wouldn't you think that being cross with Europe, but not with the actual culprit - russia - in this situation is, well, a tad hypocritical? As for realpolitik, why do you think Europe expects solidarity? My knowledge on realpolitik is admittedly shallow, but I don't think it ever included expecting to get anything for free. I mean, it would be nice to get free stuff of course, but not exactly expected? It's more like "It might be mutually beneficial for us all if you took our side, and if you want to go spanner in the works on us we can make it, shall we say, quite unbeneficial for you", which is just politics. Also, what countries get labeled as war criminals and Russia supporters when they are not? Because the opposite thing IMO is more prevalent right now, i.e. countries who quietly help russia fly under radar (or more likely everyone knows but nobody says anything).
