  1. How the hell can I be incorrect on my opinion?! It might of not been your intent but my opinion is mine whether you consider it valid or not. I wouldn't say it is a problem with being disciplined as if I choose to play with certain restrictions but in general I only do that after I have explored a game a good bit, which means in a general play though I don't put restrictions on myself. Again it is that tone I am so much more advanced then you because you obviously don't play with self-imposed restrictions. Even though I often do particularly after I have explored systems and the story of a game. By its very definition playing with restrictions take discipline as you are choosing to experience a game in a way different then it was designed or as you would usually play it when first starting to play it.
  2. There is a search feature. You can play how you like of course and say as you please as I can reply as I please. Your stated reason for not liking her has been discussed addendum in another thread so no need to bring it up here. You can also use and develop Pavarti without ever touching here companion quest it won't effective he ability or development.
  3. So don't use her I feel that topic has been beat to death in another thread.
  4. When I was looking at this game after release Mass effect was one of the games thrown out that this game is like so I to had envisioned a similar companion control system that you mention. Do you mean have the ability to place mines/trip wires yourself? A related query anyone know what makes a mine an enemy kill? I have gotten the enemy killed message a few times when shooting mines but not to often and it seems to be rare. Turrets would be cool maybe tied into engineering or something you can purchase or make, a new traps tab on the workbench would fit in I think. Make them a selectable weapon you can place down. I haven't seen knives but there are sentry blades and the officers spine for one hand melee.
  5. Your post has an interesting tone as if I am some 10 year old kid who has just started playing video games and have not ever played a game with self imposed restrictions. People love to bang on Skyrim but looking at Steam shows I have 668 hours on legacy steam and another 132 on the special edition so would be hypocritical of me to do so. There are things from the earlier games all the way back to Daggerfall (if you are not aware there is a remake in Unity that captures the game well with a lot more stability and mods you can use to add to it) that I wish had been carried over and expanded on. I still enjoyed it for what it was and occasionally fire it up for an hour or two to just run around. I understand what you are saying about unique items they do have a sense of good for the level found to be replaced by better items. I don't think they are much more then other items to tinker but unless you go heavy science after the first few levels of tinker it becomes prohibitively expensive to continue with it until you surpass the items level.
  6. That will take some discipline as I have a tendency to pick stuff up because I am able to. I have been pretty good about breakdown weapons and armor but when it comes to consumables and mods I horde them to a ridiculous degree. Maybe I will implement your rule when I play my no levels take all flaws play through should add another layer of personal difficulty to it. You can buy unique items of quite a few vendors but there is still the problem that you can find or pick up a basic item then make it out perform those items using what is the craft system in the game. I am still not sure how I feel about the system on one hand I like crafting so if I can make/improve my own items beyond what I can find laying around if I build my character in a certain way I like that. On the other hand why go through the trouble of making unique items available to find or buy when you can make better. One of my first thoughts is that weapon/armor parts should be used in the tinkering process. I find way more of these then I need to repair my equipment but if there was another sink for them I might be motivated to purchase them of a merchant as it is the only thing I by are picks and shunts but after a certain point through skills and equipment I am gathering quite a stack of those as well.
  7. That is true I just haven't heard how they will handle current saves mentioned specifically.
  8. It would be ideal for them to use the subforums but people often don't pay attention and do their own thing, especially with the anonymity of a user tag. Hopefully posters with at least consider using the spoiler option if they must post on the general discussion.
  9. Hopefully the patch projected for next week fixes this, although still not sure how current games where this has happened will be handled.
  10. It would be a light spoiler as it is content that some players might not of seen, mostly was making a point that if you want to post about messages and interesting bits of information you found there is a way to use the spoiler tag that requires the forum user to open it so if acquiring the information does spoil the game a bit for them they only had themselves to blame.
  11. There is a technical support section this would fit better in that you would more likely get a response from the developers.
  12. That would of extended the budget which is one thing that Obsidian struggled with causing them to make decisions not to add common features found in most games today. The thing about having a voiced over protagonist is it is hard to match everyone's expectation. One thing that always bugged me about FO4 is my character would saying things based on a tone I selected that didn't match what the screen said or how I think the character would of said it. Which is another hard thing to with voice over a suave charismatic diplomat would sound and phrase things much different then a grungy hardened mercenary with a shoot first ask later mindset. It is easier to capture the difference they would have in text, if you try to make a dozen different voice overs based on different build types you would add a lot of overhead to building the game.
  13. I just figured out the dots shown in the items icon is an indicator of the numbers of mods and what type you have equipped. I had heard streamers ask about it but had no idea until I started messing with modding higher end equipment.
  14. Right but I want to see the bonuses I get from my character the majority of the time, when I am looking at what to equip my companions with I want to see the base stats. The work around you mention is there but very clunky to have to go into settings just to adjust something so I can equip companions in the best way possible. I mean they do get their own perks that will effect equipment stats so should be defaulted to use the companions build not the players build to evaluate things.
  15. If you play a second character slow down while not as free form or large as FNV or other open world games it is pretty dense if you take your time to explore, look for any hidden nook, and talk to who ever you can.
  16. The cows are just a random occurrence you will see if ADA mentions fertilizer being ordered, I have had it occur on some builds and seen it happen on other players streaming with no effect on whether the quest glitches or not. The root cause seems to be the gaming flagging Parvati as being dead when she is not, the patch mentions a fix that will hopefully stop the glitch from occurring. I am not sure what it will do for existing play through where the glitch already happened but we will just have to wait and see.
  17. Cool I will do that, I started a thread to see if others have noticed this or if it was something on my end.
  18. What about picking pockets? This is actually a much more difficult and dangerous process but you get no experience with the return being very poor for the effort required.
  19. I hope so but I take a watch and see stance when big publishers acquire independent game developers who have made past game I have enjoyed playing.
  20. I did a search and looked around but found nothing on the issues. I noticed that when I evaluate equipment to see what I want my companions to use TOW uses my perks to evaluate it. In example I will look at a piece of armor that has a stat of 45 when I place it on my companion suddenly the armor drops to 36 for the armor stat. I have the perk that raises the armor effectiveness by a certain percentage which is what the stat is based off even if I look at it with the character tab selected. I don't know if this is intent or a bug but very annoying to have it show how the equipment would work for me when I am trying to evaluate what is best for my companions to use.
