  1. Got my cpu upgraded to 5.1ghz and my gpu upgraded to a 2005mhz clock speed so I'm the master and commander of 1080p gaming at the moment.
  2. *whistles* not gonna spill the beans! I do love the critical thinking I've generated though. Last reveal: it's not Gabbard.
  3. I make it a point to not use rare mods in low level gear, just the basic ones that you find in bulk, and take up lots of inventory space I might add! It's not perfect and yes the tinkering system could some...tinkering if/when sequels come out.
  4. Boy this thread has caused much cognitive dissonance on my part as it made me carefully consider what I'm going to do in the future. After much deliberation I've decided that I'm sticking to blue and green (Intel processors and Nvidia cards) and will keep my i5 9600k overclocked to 5.1ghz and wait until the new Nvidia Ampere cards come out 1h of next year https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.tweaktown.com/news/67946/yep-nvidias-next-gen-ampere-gpu-launch-1h-2020/amp.html Thank all you folks for making me reevaluate my style
  5. No none of them, they're all boring. Just wait, things are about to get interesting if not down right crazy.
  6. I'm with the Green Party and we got a secret weapon coming up. Stay tuned.
  7. Then I would wait until next spring or summer before upgrading your gpu when the next batch of cards come out, as they should be able to handle 1440p just fine. I have a 144 1440p monitor stored in my garage I may just pull it then when they release.
  8. Tinkering is like computer parts. Every once in a while you need a full replacement of gear and some tune ups along the way but keeping the same old crap and trying to get it to perform to modern standards is not worth the time and money. The Groundbreaker and most vendors offer some great up-to-level gear and it's not terribly expensive especially if your reputation is good.
  9. "Disagreements lead to synthesis, new ideas become new solutions" That's my kind of thinking!
  10. Fascists (Trump supporters) and corporate Democrats will start formulating a rosy opinion if him soon if more left wing candidates start popping up. Corporatists and imperialists from across the spectrum tend to stick together when they see a threat of socio-economic change in the air. Should be fun.
  11. I said "great", not "OK", "decent", or "goodish at best".
  12. Only if you're a 1080p gamer like me, I like smaller, more focused screens so investing in mid range cards with high clock speeds is totally my bag. I bought an 5700 and have it overclocked up to 2005 mhz and I can play everything maxed out. So if you like massive monitors and high resolutions go with a 1080ti or 2080ti and damage your life savings or humble yourself and get a nice 21.5 inch 75mhz 1080p monitor and save a boat load of cash and still get roughly the same performance and visuals.
  13. AMD is totally kicking ass these days, this Radeon card I bought for a few hundred actually makes games look better with it's new technology and it actually can go toe to toe with with a 2080 ti performance wise, as I can play Metro Exodus on EXTREME and get anywhere from 50-117 fps 1080p (the game is poorly optimized admittedly, but that is very impressive for such a hoggish game). It's a great case of aiming for mediocrity and hitting the high life by accident. Really too bad my motherboard is Intel, as these very affordable CPU's they're releasing actually beat many of Intels chips. Not that you need a i9 to play AAA games or anything but still, strange times.
  14. I would say that in a hypothetical fictional universe, mechs would best serve as spies and reconnaissance like special forcess and would hardly constitute the bulk of ground warfare.
  15. Prey is literally the only great thing that has come from Bethesda. Probably in my top ten and any mid range pc can run it well. Gee what a shock it didn't sell well.
  16. More like Anglo-Zionist "western" sphere.
  17. Not from me, Comrade, I'm not a reactionary. I loved every aspect about TOW except it's limited replayability compared to other RPG's. I think it's budget is a fault there though.
  18. Is CD Projekt now Rockstar Poland or what? I mean of course I'll by C77 now that I've upgraded my rig but it's like they're copying everything from Rockstar's playbook.
  19. Sawyer now gets to command the younger developers. See, it pays to take a beating early on then when the next generation pops up you can triumphantly say "Don't do that!" PoE was a Kickstarter title so it's risks are greatly diminished. Every game that sells post release is more money than they had before.
