The best games always seem to come out of nowhere. Which is why I think both Kickstarter and AAA titles you're drooling about for years sort of seem like two sides of the same coin. Happens every time. I wait for a game for a year or so and it turns out to be horrible, but then I'll wake up the next day and suddenly see a game on Steam that looks interesting and hesitantly try it out and turns out to be so much better than the overpriced crap I've stupidly spent tons of money and time on. The Outer Worlds and New Vegas were the only two games where I've spent significant time and energy pre-release looking forward to that actually managed to exceed expectations. But unfortunately the former ended too soon.

Disco Elysium was never on Kickstarter and it beats the Hell out of these so called "DnD style -hand me money and I'll offer you the world- RPG's". But that's just my opinion of course.

I suppose it's understandable for some. The starting area in CoP does come off as kind of draggy at first it's once you hit Yanov where things really pick up. You'd probably have to be a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. fanatic like us to beat CoP. And games like these take iron dedication to get through the rough beginning and hit the sweet spot (which was sorely lacking in Clear Sky I might add). I rank CoP best in terms of sheer content and side quests, whilst SoC has the best plot/narrative.

Spend much time belittling the USSR in "Rise" to try to appease the "Cry rape" crowd.

Yes thank you Keyrock for Code Vein and now this, if not for your suggestions I would probably be stuck playing Dark Souls and various other archived favorites for eternity. Also I am stuck on the part where you're little kid Laura and you have to solve the "2 shields and a white crown puzzle", I think I got the two shields in place but there's no white crown to be found. Someone help me, my left wing brain really lacks dynamic intuition.

Went ahead and bought the full version of 'Shadow of the Torture Porn Raider'. I love it, it really picks up after the demo area when you start romping through the jungle. It uses the RGB skill system which I love and offers plenty of optional tombs and other exploration discoveries. I have a high end PC and that also helps the graphical aspects which probably make it even better because it looks gorgeous on high settings.

Yeah, I played to demo, seemed pretty tough. Personally, I've never had a problem with the difficulty of Dark Souls (SoulsBorne games sorta fit me like a glove) but this one seemed more difficult for some reason. Also "end of the age of darkness" is quite fitting for the times.

Yeah I saw this on Steam early access several months back. It's worth a purchase alone for the fact that it will trigger the **** out of right wingers (who ironically align themselves with the color 'Red' these days).

Thinking about diving into Monster Hunter World after I finish Disco.

It almost looks like a movie on max settings. Perhaps Ray Tracing is more potent than I had originally thought because I've never played something that looks so realistic, almost ridiculously so. Now gameplay wise, I give it a 7/10, as it brings nothing new to the table but manages to fulfill familiar ground decently enough, I have a hard time getting over the turbo streamlined interface though, was never really my bag. To me, press 'Q' to highlight every bit of collectible loot leaves something to be desired.

Yes I wouldn't recommend Intel CPU's right now unless you're willing to spend extra on water cooling and a high VPM motherboard for overclocking. Socket 1151 is to be replaced by an updated (non backwards compatible) 2066 this spring so there's no practical reason going Intel this moment whilst AM4 has plenty of "bang for buck" for at least 2 more years. I mean sure, those extra clockspeeds generate higher fps especially for 144hz gaming but it's probably not worth it for a mid range build. I got lucky because I bought a cheap z390 motherboard and an i5 9600k and I became obsessed with getting as high clock speeds as possible so now I have a solid cooling system with 2 Noctua 100+ cfm fans attached to a radiator and I am more than ready for the core i9 10900k when it comes out, as it's also socket 2066 compatible. Anyway good luck with your build and I wouldn't worry about C77, as it's also designed to run on those aging consoles, so that in and of itself should be somewhat of a relief. Also I would go with the 'Super' cards, as they have higher clock speeds and higher clock speeds means more fps, especially on 1080p
