  1. Yes Democrats being centrists should take a "middle of the road" stance on religion.
  2. Finally getting around to playing FFXV, it's a massive download, almost 100 gb! Looks very promising at first glance, let's see if it holds up. The only thing that looks concerning is the MMO style quest system (Level XX quests here, level XL quests over there). I already beat RDR2 so I guess this would be the next similarity as far as massive worlds go. EDIT: And it keeps crashing. Think it's time to ditch my overclocked Radeon RX 5700 for a more stable Geforce 2080 TI.
  3. What are these "pro-Muslim" ideals and when did he push them? And I always got the impression that Obama was more secular minded than rigidly in the faith.
  4. The Christian right doesn't like the left, therefore... However, not all Christians are Evangelicals.
  5. Corporate Media vs. State Media which is better and why? Discuss!
  6. It was Lawful Stupid for me! xD
  7. Yes really. The United States is literally making the exact same mistakes the Soviets made in Afghanistan completely and thoroughly, and the latter lost their empire because of it (well, one of the major reasons anyway). The U.S. has learned nothing from the S.U.
  8. Ok you realize the false flag 9/11 operation was just a pretext to launch the U.S. into unlimited resource grabbing wars in the Middle East, right? Afghanistan has vast amounts of opium and Lithium. You don't start wars for any other reason than to make money, and it took a 9/11 to achieve whipping up public opinion to do so.
  9. Funny how RT America isn't on the list, yet weirdly enough I get a lot of reasonably accurate news from Russian sources xD What times we live in!
  10. Being anti-Marxist and clinging to age-old bourgeoise and petty bourgeoise ethics (Christian family values, homophobia, etc etc) is the definition of conservative and reactionary, and there's still a chunk of Republicans who think that way. If they don't fall into that (latter) category yet still call themselves "Republican" they're more than likely fascists (People who aren't rigidly into age old bourgeoise traditions but nonetheless are very anti-Marxist and very pro imperialist and expansionist). My personal view on gun control is that I'm more than willing to give up my guns but only if the government gives up there's first. Gun control is a double edged sword. And yes, we all (hopefully) know that totalitarian dictatorships are bad and Democracy should win out the day. If one party makes you feels like it's trampling on your individual rights, vote differently! But respect the vote. I went green because corporate rule is not Democracy, and both parties are very pro corporate and aren't doing anything to help the little guy, or the planet for that matter!
  11. Whilst I don't pay much attention to Trump's antics, the fact that him and his party are still calling Democrats "radical left" like it's the 1960's is a little disturbing.
  12. It was a great movie! And I hope you're being cheeky when you compare mid-1800's Republicans to 21st century Republicans. And Democrats for that matter. Democrats were conservative and reactionary back then and Republicans were progressive. In modern times Republicans are conservative and reactionary whilst Democrats are centrist Russophobes. There is literally no progressive party in power in the United States as I type this, just center and right.
  13. Ha! Try telling his (largely) racist and misogynistic supporters that. But then again many of them are probably the type of people whose blood pumps with pride when they see these: Come on Trumpees, you know you love it!
  14. We got this! Remember though this did not start with Trump, it started when the country embraced corporatism and neoliberalism stupidly and blindly 40+ years ago. I consider Trump as sort of the end result. Not to mention Obama and his false promises that he failed to deliver really helped accelerate it. Whilst I'm not a Trotskyist, he was correct when he stated that fascism comes at the outset of a missed revolutionary opportunity. It all sort of adds up after a while when the people simply comply with the superstructure and are convinced there's no other option. When you pry yourself away from the 2 party death trap it all starts to make more sense.
  15. Great news! Wasn't certain if they were able to due to publisher change but this confirms the green light. Let's get tons of new content! and this is perhaps the first game ever where I'd be excited to grab it as it comes (provided the quality level maintains high).
  16. The Republican Party and Lincoln was not on several Southern States in the 1860 election but Lincoln still managed to grab 40% of the popular vote, and he was sort of the oddball of the party's platform, chosen because of sheer strength of character rather than ideological purity. History rhymes, it's the strength of the candidate that matters, someone who can draw voters in.
  17. Doesn't matter, Labour is the U.K. equivalent of the Democrats, a Party that's too far gone to reform. Best bet for leftists is looking elsewhere to find green pastures instead of trying to roll back the clock to some preThatcher era.
  18. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/socialist-jeremy-corbyn-steps-down-leader-labour-party-after-crushing-n1101166 *gulp* Should be a great lesson for over here. Leftists *leave* the Democratic Party!
  19. I remember some right wingers were afraid that Obama would declare "martial law" or something when his term ended, I don't know where they pulled these delusions out of other than their asses, but that didn't seem to stop them from electing a guy who would be more than happy to do this if given the chance. And no, I was never a huge fan of Obama. He seemed to pay lip service to the environment and his Iran deal was sound but all-in-all he was subject to the whim of his donors, having no strong grassroots backing getting elected.
  20. I gave up as soon as the combat started. Tries to focus too much on finesse at the expense of practicality.
  21. Most Trump supporters I know don't even like Russia or Putin so I don't even know where this whole thing started. Just seems like a MSM fabrication. Any hardline right wing American thinks "commie" when mentioning Russia and Putin. As an American Lefty (we exist) I remain mixed on the Russia and Putin question. For every cool thing Putin says/does he off balances it with something extremely bad/facepalm so my instinct is to just let Russia govern herself w/o interference of critical observation. Mutual exclusivity is golden here.
  22. I believe it was Jefferson who referred to slavery as a "Necessary Evil". However yes it wasn't until after the founders aged and made way for a couple generations that slavery took on a more prominent and positive tone, and reactionaries at the time started changing their rhetoric that slavery being a "benevolent Christian institution" that "benefited all parties involved". So I'll be fair to the founders here. "Bad but only got worse until it had to be stopped" summarizes the slavery epoch in America. These right wing idiots really don't change though. They'll sit there and rationalize and rationalize their filth until progressive minded people decide they've had enough.
  23. Got my new motherboard (Intel obv) and 2tb SSD drive. Debating on whether I wanna hook it up now or this weekend. At any rate I gonna get those clock speeds past 5ghz soon.
