  1. I just hope the new battle.net account thingie does not change into another steam :S
  2. That's just a breather, a similarly difficult fight awaits at the entrance of the Grand Staff. Yes I know what you mean - that gigantic worm! Yeez... I tried everything! But there's no way I can bring that bugger down. First kill is easy, but when he resurrects, he already uses a full charge immediately. That's just unfair. No matter what tactics I use, there's always that little bit too much that brings my party down. I'm no further wasting time on that game. Don't give up so easily
  3. You know, in these trying economic times, consumers think twice how do they spent their money...
  4. *sighs* In 18 months they could release more than 3 adventure packs, if they would not be stupid enough to craft such ****ty DRM... Some people realy hate earning more money...
  5. I can't speak about all the Final Fantasy games, but Final Fantasy VII doesn't seem to be censored for US/EU release. Barrett doesn't swear nearly as much as he does in the English language version. Cloud is also a huge sissy in the Japanese version, and it pisses me off now and then. Aeris is what people would generally call a "**** tease," at least for the Midgar part of the game. I'm only at Junon right now, things might change. But, as I said, no apparent game breaking censoring so far. I realy do not know, i did read it on some FF fansite, i do have all Japanese versions of the games aswell, have to play them on PC emulators because i dont have japanese PS the problem is i dont understand japanese
  6. Yeah i heard because of US audience all FF games were realy bigtime censored for US and EU release
  7. Probably because it has a Darth Vader accent instead?
  8. Yeah i was little bit meh when playing VIII aswell... it was the FF game which i liked less... but i think the best problem of VIII was it came out after the awesomness which was VII and i finnished VII just few days before i started to play VIII... I purchased it for PS1 and will be doing one more playthrough in few weeks so i might see it in different view... according to Japanese playere FFX was voted best game ever... http://games.kikizo.com/news/200603/020.asp and yes, imo FFXII is the second most controversial game of the series after FFX-2... i did not liked it during my first playthrough a lot, but atm I am at my second walkthrough trying to get all the sidequests and I am pretty much enjoying it... realy do not know why that sudden change of my heart EDIT: I am realy interested how they will implement character advancement in FFXIII, because that was not demo...
  9. That was the best thing i ever done!!! Yes some FF games are grindfests, but only if you want to finnish every sngle sidequests and find every hidden item, but yes, last FF i played was FF8 in 2000, then last time i just said to myself, be damned my console hate and i purchased Wii and PS2 and every single FF game which was released for PS1 and PS2... But heed my warning Final Fantasy games are love or hate, you either love them or you hate them... there is nothing in between... Best stories are FFVI, FFVII and FFX so i would recommend you starting with these... If you prefer playing females then there is clearly FFVI (but it's game from 1994) or FFX-2, but the X-2 is the most controversial game from the series, i am one of the few people who are actualy liking the game
  10. I used to play a lot with ATARI BASIC and MS DOS so it's absolutely no problem for me if i have to go into terminal Dos is/was awesome, but I still dislike the Linux terminal... Then I Don't understand why... It's simple the same stuff than MS-DOS just different command syntax
  11. Battle system is mix of FFX-2 and classical FF ATB... Lot of action involved in it, because the more you chain the bigger damage you do, and all actions require time (no mana in there for example)... so if you are good you can make nice combos and actions...
  12. You must realy hate Star Wars aswell
  13. Huh? Did you buy them via the store or in the Kingmaker pack? I have the latter and they seemed fine to me... Unfortunately through the Bioware Store
  14. any info on DRM? I got burned by Bioware Premium Modules, don't wanna get burned again...
  15. I used to play a lot with ATARI BASIC and MS DOS so it's absolutely no problem for me if i have to go into terminal
  16. But he was at university, which means he was not very active in earning money am i correct? If it was not part time study... When I was at university everybody pirated the hell out of internet... after they got proper jobs they started to buy the games, and lot of them which they played for free before...
  17. And what that means? Developers/publishers should concentrate on adult audience, because teenagers will more likely pirate than adults, who have much different values... And they also do have much much more money to spend...
  18. Fully agreed with you, but i realy dont think anyone here is trying to justify that I have absolutely no problem with SECUROM 7 on my DVDs of NWN2 and their expansions, althought it little bit over the my definition of reasonable DRM (bacause of the malware similarities), but i would never ever touch the crap piece of **** that has Mass Effect, Spore or newest Riddick shipped with them...
  19. I can confirm you that nowadays even casual pirates knows how to get non-DRM product from some sites, which name should not be mentioned here
  20. No they should not as they would loose the business of people who do not like Steam. this
  21. Ah yes, the Linux heaven where you have to compile your own afterlife. It's hard to get started and a bit buggy at times but it makes it up by being ultra customizable. I run Linux (Ubuntu) and I've never compiled a programme (that wasn't my own) in my life). It also detects my laptop's hardware better than Windoze does. Ubuntu took Plug N' Pray and made it Plug N' Play. This pretty much sums my virgin experience with Ubuntu aswell... And i even think that Ubuntu is now more user friendly than any Windows... But i still use Windows 90% of the time...
  22. These groups are not mutually exclusive. Seriously saying that everyone who hates DRM is pirate is same bull**** like syaing that every muslim is terrorist...
  23. Pirates do not buy their games, people who hates DRM buy their games...
  24. Anyway NOD32/Eset Smart Security did not find anything on my PC. But i will do few more tests before i go to bed... EDIT: Ad-Aware did not find anything aswell...
