  1. Has this deck of cards boobies?
  2. Speaking of OnLive, didn't hear/read anything about it for more than 6 month by now, I think that's not a good sign...
  3. Interesting figures for the hardware that many people still believe have failed... http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/2011/05/0...hardware_sales/
  4. That would be incorrect. I've seen some injuries that would scar you for life. This!
  5. Same. The Witcher features a hero that doesn't have to worry about disease or kids and has women throwing themselves at him. That's not a mature take on sex, it's the fantasy of the typical hetero teenage boy. If you claim to be offering up a mature product, expect to be called out when you deliver an adolescent power fantasy. The Sims features a more mature take on sex and relationships. Ehm... I did not knew that sexual-disease prevention programs and contraception was promoted during medieval... So I don
  6. I really would like some new awesomeness which plays exactly like Privateer, Wing Commander or Descent: Freespace or or or Freelancer Is one classic Space Sim release once in 10 years to much to ask? *sighs* And no X series unfortunately does not play like games mentioned above
  7. PSN should start working again this week. http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2011/05/01/...able-this-week/
  8. I can still play PS3 exclusives offline... You can freely continue to be jealous
  9. Another EA DRM fail... http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2011/04...s-right-now.ars
  10. Little bit to late with the news but anyway White Knight Chronicles 2 soon to be released in Europe... http://www.siliconera.com/2011/03/09/white...-europe-in-may/
  11. I can explain how it was in my country 15-17 years ago. Normal salary was 100EUR Normal 386DX was 1500EUR Normal game was 80-100EUR but only OCEAN games were available for sale here legally, there was no chance for example to buy a Lucasfilm or Sierra-On-Line games here legaly. Normal DOS was not for sale here legally Family with 1 child were saving for a PC up to 2 years, all PCs were with pirated DOS preinstalled and the child was buying the pirated PC games with his pocket money for 5EUR and then traded/copied between each other, nobody had a clue here, that something like copyright even existed. Black market just offered what everybody wanted to buy, but no one offered it by legal means... Same is happening now in China, India, Brasil and similar countries around the world. Big publishers are crying and black market is laughing.
  12. You're welcome to do it And copying data is not stealing, it's copyright infringement
  13. And meanwhile the black market people are laughing on their way to bank, with full bags of money, because instead of whining all day long, they offered these "poor" people better pricing model and better service It's free market at it's finest, the best price and service prevails...
  14. Do you have a source on that? IIRC Xbox version bombed hard and I doubt PC version sold that well. Afaik it was published on the old Bioware homepage, before they were consumed by EA..
  15. a low end dvd player in southeast asia can be purchased for 10-20 USD... you know Made in China stuff which are sold in China do not need to have added all the taxes and **** demanded from NA and EU to raise their prices, so that our local manufacturers do not suffer from competition...
  16. Well, another completely missed point... The people are not infringing on the copyright, they are buying the content... The thing is, they are buying it from black market for fraction of the price, most of the time they do not even know, they are infringing... There is ****loads of money to be made, but some asshat just need to change the way the stuff is handled in poorer countries
  17. http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/news/20...ne-solution.ars Read and discuss
  18. Now, now, I have little bit rephrased your statement Which depicts the situation as good as your original quote
  19. And this, is one of the examples, why piracy exist in a first place...
  20. Seriously, this is ridiculous, where in the hell did I ever mentioned that it is OK to pirate??? Just because I do not agree with the whining of the industry which wants to strip off the real customer, who pays real money for their products, out of all their rights with ridiculous DRM schemes, does not means that It is OK to pirate! You people have to stop jumping into various overzealous conclusions... IT IS NOT OK TO PIRATE AND IT IS NOT OK TO KICK YOUR CUSTOMERS IN THE FACE USING PIRATES AS A SCAPEGOAT! If you are having biggest profits ever, then the piracy is for sure not as big problem as you try to lie about it...
  21. Yes, yes, i've heard that analogy billion times... http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/news/20...-box-office.ars meanwhile this shows how badly piracy damaged entertaining industry in 2010... So you just reply with a bunch of statistics on the success of movies. Which have a radically different revenue format from games. Good times. If you do not like my reply, try to reply to Walshingham, who said it better than I would ever be able... And my link was more pointing out the hypocrites in the industry who whine all the time at every ocassion, how piracy is driving them into situation that they can eat only once a week, while they are still making record revenues... And I would bet my ass that if we had exact statistics on revenue of Gaming Industry, which publishers are still trying to hide for whatever reason, we would also find that the gaming industry is in record numbers aswell...
