But you are lawyer... WTF?
-
For me that comes as a surprise, that something like this can even be forced to employees... It's 6 years ago when I stopped to work as a programmer, but I never heard about something like this... Now I work for a corporation and I do not have anything like this in my contract... Though I do not work with creation of IP.

Or you knock out some old lady in the mall, and buy it with money from her purse. Now now that would be illegal, don't you think? No, it's ok because she wasn't going to spend that money anyway, so it's not a lost sale or something. So, it's perfectly ok as long as you don't talk to steam support about it? Kind of like mugging the old lady is ok if you don't get caught? :D No no no, you just make sure you don't mug the same lady twice. You also need to make sure no one else mugs her. Maybe you can take her home and put her on a shelf, that will keep it legal. That's sort of my thoughts as well...it's not that mugging or buying the keys is illegal...is more about not bringing attention to yourself from the authorities...afterall...they may feel that mugging the old lady WAS illegal or something...how shocking. Personally, to tell the truth...more power to Morg if that's how he get's his keys...at least he's paying someone. It may be the pirates hiding under the illusion of being legit and making a bundle off of him...but at least he's trying to pay someone something. No it's more like the same like importing the game from Russia, but with middleman, in this case e-bay, which is much more safer than buying directly from some Russian webpage... Or do you consider Australian gamers who import games from EU to avoid censorship for old lady muggers as well?

Not much news, but very interesting read indeed... http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2011/08...going-indie.ars looks like we have interesting times comming soon!

The funny thing is, if some small company would be making this kind of software, it would be all over the internet, and probably sooner or later ended up on a blacklist of many Antispyware programs... The second funnz thing is that people are still crying loud about SecuROM and are jumping into this steaming pile of poo without second thoughts I will be realy curious how this spyware will be searching for illegally downloaded material and how many false positives it will have...

Still playing Gran Turismo 5... I purchased Logitech Driving Force GT and enjoying new style of awesome play I just did tried my first A-Spec Endurance race... Man it was realy crazy... 60 laps of Grand Valley Speedway in 2 hours and 3 minutes of concentration of not making any mistakes!!! Of course that was just a plan, I did missed some braking and got out of the track, especially when the tires got more used Last 12 laps was really crazy, absolute lack of concentration... after 1 hour and 45 mins on track... I had to drop the max speed to be sure to stay on track... The car was Trial CELICA SS-II (ZZT231) '03, with all upgrades and Racing Soft tires. (they need to be changed in pits every 15 minutes)

Well Chris Roberts is apparently keen to come back to gaming so I'm willing to put my cynicism aside for a short while. NEW . WING . COMMANDER . BY CHRIS ROBERTS . . .

Just finished Atelier Rorona and Hyperdimension Neptunia. Both pretty fun, but not for everyone. Having trouble to decide what to play next O.o

I started to play after long break Gran Turisom 5, finally got gold trophy for National B license and Karting Challenge... Both of these events are extreme pain in the ass without Driving Wheel Controller... But It was finally some game with good challenge... And continueing to play Hyperdimension Neptunia... Its pretty funny commedy with lot of references to console war and gaming... That brings one big question... Nightshape, can you elaborate, why is every single developer making only dead serious games and almost no one is trying to make some comedy? You said you like variation in other thread, but every single game which is dead serious about saving the world or destroy the dark force plotting in the background is getting more and more boring :S I miss the times, when the pure comedies like Days of the Tentacle, Leisure Suit Larry and Monkey Island were more common... When you will next speak with your boss tell him, you see a hole in the market

I have just finished White Knight Chronicles International Edition with getting Platinum Trophy, after starting the game in september last year... My final save got atm 522 hours played O.o Compared to God of War 3 which I was able to beat in under 20 hours for platinum, this is really crazy demand from a game... And finished Final Fantasy XIII as well, platinum after 130 hours played... much better but still a lot of time Now I have started to play Hyperdimension Neptunia just for the lulz Neaty funny game, but I would say, that maybe one more person on this forum would enjoy the game hahaha Turn based fighting, small dungeons to explore and lot of anime :D But still fun, after I got bored little bit with the start, its little bit better now but so far 6 maybe 7/10

Thank you purkake

Don't blame me, I was asking about AP DRM removal patch and got offered some subpar rental online service Of course I got into berserk mode Back to topic, I just got Platinum Trophy for Final Fantasy XIII, with about 150 hours played, now playing White Knight Chronicles International and soon I'll start playing Hyperdimension Neptunia and Atelier Rorona... Hopefully I get soon my Alpha Protocol by mail, but I am affraid my PC is to ****ty for this game... and cba to upgrade to new PC, when I am actually purchasing like 1-2 PC games per year... down from 15-20 due to crappy business model and customer treatment in the PC games industry...

If your son wants to play AP he has to buy a seperate copy one way or the other. No he has not... I just give him my copy and he can play it while I am playing another game, without anyone else than me, having the final say... That's called in civllized world Fair Use! But that's not what the publishers want you to do. That's why we got DRM in the first place. Thankfully not all publishers what that, therefore we have such free market example here, where I can say big **** YOU, to the publishers who put anticonsumer stuff onto their products, and choose publishers who do not treat their fans and customers like thieves and scummbags... these publishers earned lot of money from me last few years, while Steam did not earn a single penny from me... Isn't it beautiful to have a choice when you want to enjoy some non-essential stuff and entertainment?

You can not give your game to your son from your account to his account without them allowing you to do it... That is Digital Right Management...

Your "requirements" are playing the game. What makes it different from playing a Steam version vs. retail version? Same product. Only that the former is a lot cheaper. Hence, the customer pays for the cheaper offering. That's how a market really works. But of course some people are stubborn... My requirements are no DRM... If a company does not offer this, I will not play their games, that's simple, there is enough competition on the market, which still offers this option... Games are not essential to my life. If I will not play for example New Vegas, because of it's Steamworks DRM, I do not die, I do not end up ill or whatever else, I just play another game, which will bring to me same enjoyment... My money might be infinite for this kind of pleasure, but my time is not... If something offers me more convenience for the same price, why should I bother to invest in less convenience?
-
Me as a customer has a requirements. If a company does not fullfill my requirements, it has lost me as a customer, and does not deserve my money... That's how free market works, you know...

America is named after Amerigo Vespucci, so it might be more of an Italian thing. wasn't Amerigo Vespucci actually a portuguese?

I don't buy second hand

Yes, there is a patch that removes DRM. Just be careful do download the right one (US vs. EU). YAY... Omw to my closest shop Thanks for the info! You can get it for 13? currently on Steam. No thank you, I rather pay 25EUR for the boxed version, which now does not depend on some third party service to be playable...

About Alpha Protocol. Did Sega patched the online activation out already or not? They promised, that they will do it at one time in the future, and I am still waiting for this to finally purchase the game.

If you grind them up into a paste with some basil and olive oil they make a surprisingly tasty pesto. You can give out contraceptive pesto on a party and be safe the next day :mindblown: Sounds like a solid plan, and blessed by a lawyer. Nothing can go wrong now, let's party.
