Yeah, I've seen the alternate cutscene :'(
-
Yup, Kalameet was few days ago, I killed him before Manus, but before I spent few hours on trying to figure out how to cut his tail while solo As far as I am aware, I have done everything possible in this second playthrough. I thought the final DLC bass was Manus not Kalameet

Well not many of the games offer quality options for anything else than "Stupid Evil" alignment, so if I'll buy the game, I'll go for my typical Chaotic Good way of handling stuff. But the PnP version of Paizo's Adventure Path had lot of options to play as evil aligned party.

After 80 hours I have just finished Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition, with caster toon. After farming the **** out of Humanity Phantoms and kindling every single available bonfire in the game, I have decided, that there is finally time to go against the DLC boss, Manus, Father of the Abyss. First two tries, I have tried to summon Sif the puppy, but the boss did very short work with me both attempts. Small Sif was not able to tank him, so I just rather stayed hollow and continued with my futile attempts at killing him without spending Humanity. I really do not know, how many failed attempts I had, probably 15+, because this boss compared to most other in the game was for me really unpredictable, because he mostly moved and attacked to fast for my old reflexes. I was most of the time not able to predict his 3-hit and 6-hit combos, which most of the time destroyed me I really have not wanted to cheese him, so I run back and back again, until I was little bit lucky with his attacks, and I was finally able to kick his Mananus. As soon as he was defeated, I have saved princess Dusk, and got reward from Elizabeth for doing so. Now was the time to run around and get specific weapons and armor from few NPCs. I really did not wanted to kill them, but it was the only possible way, how to collect these items So after a while, all three blacksmiths were dead and with them also Hawkeye Gough. Before them, I have also traded Manus' soul for last Sorcery missing in my collection. Now was finally time to face Gwyn Again. Because I was able to finish Solaire's quest, I found his summon sign on the way to the final boss Gwyn. Few spells shot his way, and he went down fast. The new spell really helped a lot. It made tremendous damage to him. The credits rolled fast, and I have decided to go against Asylum Demon in NG+ straight away, because I was still missing his weapon drop. To my surprise, the Pursuers spell almost one-shot him He was left probably with 20 to 50 HP, after the first shot. I was so surprised, that I have lost concentration for a second, and he almost one-shotted because of that. So I rolled to the side as fast as possible, and finished him off with another Soul Arrow, and finished my game. For now. I am currently at 91% of trophies and I am missing few armors and weapons for owning everything in the game. Next week, I'll be going on a business trip, so I do not know, if I should start going after few bosses now, or just wait until I am back. Need to finish NG+ and get to Anor Londo in NG++ for last few trophies.

Both are completely different classes though.

Thanks, it was really very intense fight, but compared to Smough&Ornstein and later Manus, I did not feel frustrated at all, when I was unsuccessful. The fight is hard, but fair and even with slower reactions, you still have chance to learn his moves and defeat him without need for cheesing. Manus on other hand, It really felt to fast and to random for my old age

Not in the base game, casting is all Vancian. But there is a Kineticist class in the tabletop and they did mention that they plan to expand the scope of the initial game with some DLC classes and races that they couldn't afford just off the kickstarter funds alone. So, it may end up in there before the year is out? or it may not. Well Sorcerers (arcane casters) and Oracles (divine casters) are middle ground. You learn spells during camping, and then you can cast any combination of the spells during day. Number of casts depends on your level. Sorcerers are in the game, but I do not know about Oracles.

Quest markers are mixed bag for me. But TBH, I do not think, that quest markers by itself is the issue, it's the bad quest design, which depends solely on the quest markers and do not give you enough info in journal. So if the game offers turning them off, you get most likely lost :/

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS - BATTLE ROYALE
Mamoulian War replied to Blarghagh's topic in Computer and Console
More about loot boxes, being a whale without even realizing, and how much information have big publishers on you... -
Moar Dork Souls TBH not much to be talked about this time, because well one very interesting boss fight But first, I have talked with Lord's Blade Ciaran, who mourned passing of Knight Artorias. She asked for his souls, which I do not want to part away at the moment, and she wears very nice suit of armor, so despite not being very happy about that decision, I have decided to start fight with her. The reward was said armor set and two nice weapons. After that, I went back to Oolacile Township and slowly moved through all the bloathead enemies, until Dark Phantom Marvelous Chester decided, he needs to kick my ass. It ended for him not as good as he anticipated Running more around the ruined city netted into finding a key. I ran back to a tower near Artorias' arena, and set Gough free. After little bit of friendly chit chat, he took his uber giant mega bow, and shot an arrow towards the big badass dragon flying around and managed to hurt his wing and feelings. And now the fun has started. I run slowly towards the place, where the dragon fell, and what a surprise, there was a new fog gate I've spent all my souls, and went back to see how it will go. And I must admit it went pretty fast. For me, and for dragon, too. But with more satisfying outcome for the dragon... "OK, so this guy has a tail weapon, OK, next time, I'll try to cut it, before he kills me.", was what I've said to myself. It also did not went as planned this time either I have not touched his tail at all. My closest weapon swing was like two kilometers away. This will be tough... And it ****ing was. The first evening, I had probably 20-30 attempts to learn the encounter and what I have to do to force him to use his tail against me, so I could hit it. So much frustrated, I have even tried to summon someone for help, but it looks like the DLC on PS3 are probably playing two more people beside me and both of them are PvPing only I rather went to bed, and started to thinking, if my stubbornness is worth dying again and again and again and again and again... Before falling asleep I have watched few videos, specifically for the solo tail cut strategy, and I have found two interesting solutions, which I should be able to execute. Next day, I've tried both, and found out, that I am able to execute only one of them After founding that out, after reviving at Bonfire, I've changed all my spells to Pyromancies, and went to learn better how to execute the tailcutting strategy. Right in the first attempt, I forced the dragon to try to hammer me down with his tail. But to my big disappointment, the Great Combustion pyromancy completely missed the tail. It's hitbox was to close to ground to hit him with the spell I died shortly afterwards. I've kicked out the spell out of my list and used both versions of Firewhips and Firestorms. After a while, I found out, that the Firestorm spells are much better for the job. It took me another 10 or so attempts to be able to execute it without getting to much damage from his other moves. At the end I needed to hit his tail 4 times with Firewhip spells to cut his tail off. As soon as I managed it, I was so excited about it, that Kalameet killed me few seconds later But the goddamn Obsidian Sword was finally mine! ALL MINE!!111ONEONEELEVEN!!11! All that running and noobing around had one good side effect, I have learned pretty well all of Kalameet's moves and attacks, and my next attempt, ended up victorious for me, and without single sip from Estus Flask. I was surprised to see that. All in all, the the whole fight with Kalameet was the most epic bossfight ever in history of my gaming, which I was able to beat. I really do not remember, when was the last time, when a game was so challenging to make me yell "**** YEAH!" (in slovak of course ) after landing the last blow. And this fight made me to do it twice!!! I have spent probably more than two hours fighting him, but the feeling when I've finally made it was fantastic! And it reminded me, why I loathe so much the current "PREZZBATTON4WIN" game design, which most of the today's games are doing No excitement even after killing the main boss of the game means, that the time getting there was not really worth it, and is just another waste of time. Thankfully some Indies make this right, and GOG and Japanese developers offer lot of them, to my liking. Anyway end of ranting, and back to Gough. He congratulated me, and offered me smaller version of his ultra bow. I have happily accepted his offer. After that, I have decided to pay a visit to Marvelous Chester, and speaking to him, he kind of mocked me, and bitched about our last black phantom incident. I have decided to defend my honour again, and I've challenged him to duel! The reward was nice armour set on his corpse After that, I have spent some time just farming for items, which I still missed in my inventory for 100% playthrough and kindling all the bonfires in the game to the max capacity. The hardest to get was Oolacile Catalyst, from the Bloathead Sorcerers. This alone took me more than hour, but during that, I was able to farm enough souls for more than 5 or 6 Soul Levels, so now, I am SL 99. Today, will be my first attempt against Manus. I've heard good things about the fight as well

Pathfinder Kingmaker is bigger then Deadfire
Mamoulian War replied to no1fanboy's topic in Computer and Console
You asked if someone could ask on Owlcat's forums, and he gave you the Pathfinder rules about carrying capacity. There is not anything obnoxious about that. Are there issues with the way Pathfinder handles capacity? Yes. Say you have a Wizard with 8 Strength, your capacity is going to be pretty low. However, if you happen to be carrying around 5k gold, you're going to be over if not close to that capacity. Woe be the pack rat in your group... Of course, they could go the PoE route and give you a stash that you can access, but it would be better if they gave you a caravan/wagon to hold it all. That's why we homeruled, that weight of money is 0. -

All you need, just falling out of being the Hip Thing, and if you continue having your expensive lifestyle after that, then you can only say adios to all the moolah. He would not be the first "celebrity" to lose all they wealth Especially the very young ones tend to fall into that trap -

Bard's Tale IV and flop of 3 abilities per character

If choice A is better than choice B, then the game design is bad. Good design makes both choices appealing to pick for players. -
Bard's Tale IV and flop of 3 abilities per character

Looks like Mass Effect: Andromeda gave game industry more than silly cutscenes. But it’s not good thing either -
This studio made the old Rage of Mages games. You remember those? I played them back around when I was playing World of Warcraft, like 1997 or something. I liked those games. I don't know if this is to their credit or to their detriment. I remember Rage of Mages game, but I do not really remember, if I’ve played it or not It’s really long time ago..

I love Prestige Classes just for roleplay purposes. In our campaign, I am playing Gnome Fighter/Wizard/Eldritch Knight on purpose instead of Magus, and I have great time playing it, despite not being optimal race for that build, and despite few partners in group trying to minmax their characters, I am only one, who is still alive from the group which started in Sandpoint Min/Maxing stuff just takes the fun out of the games

More Dark Souls After clearing of Painted World of Ariamis of all it's items, and farming for 10x Souvenir of Reprisal for Blade of Darkmoon Covenant, I have restored myself back to human, for an encounter with Xanthous King Jeremiah black phantom. Very powerful pyromacer, with very high magic resistance, which made me some issues due to my build, but in the end, the victory was mine, and the reward was his armor set later behind the boss Crossbreed Priscilla She was my next target, or more like, her tail I prepared Power Within pyromancy and first Great Combustion burned off her tail, and the second one killed the boss... I was like WTF!? My fastest bossfight ever. Next in line were some running around Lordran, giving last Ember to Andre the Blacksmith, leveling Darkmoon Covenant, leaving it, joining Warrior of Sunlight Covenant, farming Sunligth Medals, and leveling it, too. This will be my final Covenant, for the rest of my playthrough and NG+ and NG++. No more grinding \o/ After that, I put all the Lord Souls into Lordvessel, opened the Kiln of the First Flame, and farmed for last two weapons from Black Kinghts and some chunks. The last boss still missing, was Dark Sun Gwyndolin. Keeping in mind, that with my melee character, I killed him on first attempt, I killed of Image of Sunlight Princess and walked to his tomb. For whatever reason, I completely lost all of my concentration, and IMO the easiest boss in Dark Souls 1 killed me three times in a row, which resulted in me losing 11 Humanities and 75000+ Souls... Sometimes I just suck harder, than the whole cast of latest Hungarian adult product ... I am sometimes wondering myself, how I could progress in this game so far (and twice) Then I rather took some break... In the evening I just could not resist and put the game in my PS3 again, and walked for the first time into the Prepare to Die DLC content. To my surprise, the first thing, I've encountered, was another bossfight :D The hardest thing was, to cut off it's tail Few Great Fireballs and Great Chaos Fireballs finished the job. Although I just had to time them properly, because Sanctuary Guardian was very nimble and until I've learned all of it's moves, and when to counter with spells, I've died twice I accepted the quest from Elizabeth, to save Princess Dusk, and ventured to Royal Woods. First encounter with Scarecrows was fast and resolute, so I walked with increased self-esteem further into the woods. My self-esteem was then literary hammered down back to previous levels by Stone Guardians. The radius of their hammer swing was brutal. It took me few deaths to learn how to dodge their attacks properly, and not get one-shotted by theirs attacks After brief introduction of big black dragon flying around, I've encountered my second fog gate. Because I still have not farmed back humanity, which I suckfully lost at Gwyndolyn, I've decided to not kindle the bonfire, and traverse further with 5 estus flasks. I must admit, that the introduction of King Artorias was very impressive. He threw some corpse my way and immediately jumped to attack. I have to say, that in this fight, the Dark Wood Grain Ring helped me a lot with proper timing of my dodges. To my surprise, I was able to defeat him on my second try, but with my heart pumping hard, and body full of adrenalin rush. Sorceries helped a lot during the fight, even though he was even more nimble than the Sanctuary Guardian and dodged a lot of them. The fight ended up just in time, with me having under 25% of health and no more estus flasks DLC so far feels much better than the end-game content of base game, especially Lost Izalith, and I am eager to experience more of it. Well, with the exception of tail cutting at Kalameet's place

I wish this would be on PS4 as well Anyway, more of the Dark Souls stuff As soon as I wake up in the prison in The Duke's Archive, I run little bit around, killed hollowed Rhea of Thorolund for her Talisman, and chat with imprisoned Big Hat Logan. After some running around the whole Archives, I've found all necessary keys to unlock his cell, and he moved close to bonfire. I purchased more of his spells, and listened to his advice for fighting Seath. After that, I have saved Sieglinde of Catarina from being imprisoned in Yellow Crystal Golem, and went back to Firelink Shrine to talke with her, to continue on Siegmeier's quest. After that, I have moved to Crystal Cave, and slowly moved over invisible edges to pick up all items and move closer to Seath's Lair. The goal was to get his tail weapon, because in my plythrough, I was unable to do that, I hit the tail to close to his body With this character, I was better prepared, and I watched few videos on how to do it. I let him shatter his Immortality crystal, and right after that, I run around with Chaos Fire Whip pyromancy prepared and failed So I have Homewarded back to Bonfire and run back. Same procedure, but better result now Two hits to the tail was required to get the Moonlight Greatsword, and few more pyromancy hits, and he went down fast. With fully upgraded pyromancy is Seath not much of a challenge on NG. After the fight, I went back to Big Hat Logan and purchased rest of his spells, to continue in his questline. I moved to Seath's tower, and confronted his mad hollow form. After the fight, he dropped the last spell required for my Wisdom of a Sage trophy. Now back to Firelink Shrine to have more talk with Sieglinde and to visit two smiths to give them two new embers from Archives, and to Sen's Fortress to meet poor Griggs in hollow form at the end of his quest line Meanwhile I was able to fully upgrade two of my weapons, for their respective trophies, and moved on my way to The Great Hollow and Ash Lake. Because I wanted to pick up every single item, it cost me probably 5 or six deaths, when my jump was to short, or when I dropped down from bad spot As soon as I've arrived at Ash Lake, I have met again with Sieglinde, who killed her hollowed father, again. And gave me for all the trouble 1 piece of Titanite Slab. Next in line was the second Hydra, which hits much stronger than the first one, and I had not high enough Endurance, to be able to block her attacks, so after two unsuccessful attempts to cut her off more than three heads, I resorted to cheese ranged tactics, and slowly shoot her heads one by one from a galaxy far, far away. Being successful in that, I ran to the end of the area, to meet with the last of the Everlasting Dragons, joined his covenant and victoriously cut off his tail for Dragon Greatsword, which I will probably be never able to hold in my hands Now was the time for the most boring and longest grind in Dark Souls one, if you want to 100% the game and pick up every single item available - to farm 30 Dragon Scales... Sigh... All I will say, that after killing around 25 dragons or so, I had not seen a single drop of it... I told myself, one more run, and I'll be going to bed, and thankfully my first scale dropped (I went to bed anyway ). The next day, I have continued with the grind, and was most of the time more lucky, sometimes getting up to three drops from six available dragons. Until I have finished with gathering them, I was able to level up, up to Soul Level 80 and purchase every single piece of gear, equip and spells from various merchants, and still had about 40000 souls in stock, lol. It was the only thing, I have done in my Friday's and most of my Saturday's sessions, It could be approx. 4 or 5 hours in total, I really do not want to know. But as soon as I got to level 2 in the covenant, I have obtained all available items from them, I run victoriously to Oswald of Carim, to leave this covenant as well. So I could join another covenant in Anor Londo, before going to Painted World of Ariamis, the Blade of Darkmoon covenant, specialized in Hunting of Sinners. Funny thing is, that I have about 10 sins myself After all of that, I have moved to the Painted World, and picked up everything possible before moving to the boss, which unlocked me Bond of a Pyromancer trophy for obtaining all of the Pyromancy spells in game. Last thing, I've done before bed, was to upgrade my only Lightning weapon to the max, for another weapon trophy.

Especially the joypad :-D -
Moar Dark Souls!!! My first sessions were just about farming stuff. I needed 30 Humanities for Chaos Covenant, and during that, I got to max Item Discovery, so I have started to run around Lordran for various drops needed for one of the trophies, and to satisfy my 100% need Pretty boring, but I had to do some stuff for my job in the evening as well, so rather than attempt for new bosses, I made few short farming sessions. After I had most of the stuff, I wanted, I have gone against Ceaseless Discharge, and tried the easy kill method, luring him out of lava. Much easier than my first kill Right after that, I have turned to Human again, to fight against second Kirk's Black Phantom Invasion. Unfortunately, because I still need Git Gud, I have died at the same time as him, and it bugged out his loot drop under the texture, without any chance to pick it up, even after reload trick :/ Next day, I have gone right after Demon Firesage, and as before as with Kirk, I sucked a lot and died at the same time, losing out on his Demon Catalyst, which was an actual upgrade for me No other way to obtain that loot. Next chance will be NG+ and I hope, I'll suck less next time, so I will not need to go through whole NG++ to get this item. Centipede Demon compared to him was just piece of cake. I have summoned Solaire, and defeated him in less than 30 seconds. Reward was lava damage reducing ring and another encounter with Solaire in his quest line. Now was the time to offer the farmed humanities to Quelaag's sister to rank up her Covenant, and open a shortcut for the last part of Solaire's quest line. It took me again longer than killing both Firesage and Centipede, lol. After that I moved back to the Centipede Demon place and walk into Lost Izalith. I have killed few of the "Undead Dragon Butts" to gain two more soul levels, and attended the last encounter with Kirk, the Black Phantom. This time, I sucked less, and defeated him easily with getting one of his drops (Barbed Sword). After him I met Siegmeyer again, and helped him to kill Chaos Eater at the poison pit, and he was happy to move on another trip. After him, I went for Bed of Chaos boss encounter... Sigh... This encounter is just bad... Very bad design... I made a mistake and killed her right arm first, and that meant like 15 corpse runs to try and go for her left arm... The first time, I've played the game, I have gone for left hand first, and although I died few times, it was not an exercise in futility, like my current attempt... Every step I've tried her other arm dropped me immediately into a pit, and "YOU HAVE DIED" flashed on the screen again, and again, and again, and again... In the end I have tried to use little bit different route to the hand, but at the end of the route was big pit hole. I really do not know, how I was able to manage to jump over it, and being stunned by performing my lucky jump, I lost my concentration for a second, which meant another fireburst diractly in my face... Thankfully, I have survived with like 50 HP or so, and I finally hit her second hand... Few more seconds later, and Bed of Chaos was dead again, and I took a break from a game, to cool little bit. After the break, I went to visit Vamos, to offer him my new Embers, Snuggly the Crow, to exchange Sunlight Maggot with Old Witch's Ring and with it, I could finally have a little chat with Quelaag's Sister and made Engyi jealous Before going to bed, I have also visited the Pyromancer trainer in Blighttown, and upgraded my Pyromancy flame to the max, and I could finally move to The Duke's Archives. I killed the Blue Crystal Golem for DLC unlocking item, and later for my first meeting with Seath, in this playthrough. Waking up in the prison was the last thing of that evening.

If anyone decides to force anything on me, which I do not want, I go doing business somewhere else. There is enough companies which do not need to engage in such a shady decisions, which are happy to take my money. *shrugs*
