  1. Hey look! You can play Bioshock now! DRM = Gone! EDIT: Nevermind. Just the install limits have been removed. I hope Bio will do this for ME. As far as I know they haven't said anything beyond "promising" that they will remove restrictions if they can't/won't support it anymore. Do it, it's a very good and interesting game if you can get past the sometimes very half-assed shooter elements and enjoy it for what it is.
  2. @Deraldin, thanks well spotted. 1) He has three activations when buying the game. 2) He installs and has two 3) He reformats. Still two. 3) He installs a fan and we're down to one. 4) He changes his account and we're down to zero extra activations. He still has the one that he activated after changing his account.
  3. It is sometimes a bit hard, what you do is you move them closer to each other and eventually they will merge. It works the same way with individual joints.
  4. Yes we do. I need to play the first one.
  5. Oblivions stealth relied on both player skill and character skill unlike Deus Ex which (excluding augmentation) had stealth being dependant upon plyer skill and only player skill. Also you can make DnD as symbolical as you'd like, it's still bull that my character can stand amidst enemies in an open field in a cloudy but still light day. You can't argue in favor of a broken system by showing me an equally broken system.
  6. I can wrap my **** around the earth seven times, pretty nifty. That wasn't the way you thought when you were suspicious of Bioware a couple or months back. Edit: Awww, you edited
  7. I sometimes forget which board I'm on, thanks for reminding me guys. Now seriously, is someone gonna tell me that Oblivions stealth which was a mixture of player skill, smart thinking and character skill is worse than the ones where characters stealth through a field of dirt in bright daylight right around a couple of ogres with perfect eyesight? I don't. Notice how I mentioned Oblivions stealth which includes both interaction and skillchecks, all of them are important. Bioshock's shooting was horribly easy but that doesn't mean that the idea of shooting in games is bad. Similarly, it had no meaningfull relation to the game since it lacked being tied to a skill, but that doesn't mean that the minigame wasn't fun and fitted in the game (unless you are a Yatzhee style nitpicker). I'm pretty sure that the path was closed for me a few times.
  8. That wasn't what I meant: 1) He has three activations when buying the game. 2) He reformats. Still three. 3) He installs a fan and we're down to two. 4) He changes his account and we're down to one. He still has a minimum of one left unles he actually did more than he claims. This is propably an oversight on his part, I'm just pointing it out. The real travesty in that thread is his replies from EA support. Bioshock took many days and I would have expected ME to do so too. Also you're too trusting Xard.
  9. Bah. The only time that you should need more than six mercs is when you attack the last city, now there's a real fight. @Krez Having mercs walk when they are tired should also increase their health. Mechanics increases dexterity. I can't quite remember what explosives increases but they are tied in that way.
  10. He would have to have changed more than two things to actually use up all activations (or his third install would still be 'active'). Are there any spyware, viruses or something similar that could have given his cd-key to a pirate? I don't really care about this guys as he sounds like he brought it upon himself when he changed his computer even though he knew it could ruin his game. Not that I have much sympathy for Bio either. I have yet to hear anything about that since the last time, any links to lots of comments that it actually works?
  11. So anyone checked Sporepedia lately? I'm quite surprised at the growth.
  12. Minigames are important for the same reason that Oblivion and other games moved away from skillcheck stealth and into something that has actual interaction and resembles something that is fun, Bioware being unable to produce quality mingames doesn't mean we should move back to relying on skill checks. Bioshock did reasonable hacking that was actually quite fun when not broken (i.e. when it was impossible to draw a line from the start to the end point). How did Wizardry 7 deal with lockpicking? Was that similar to Bioshock's minigame or was it something else?
  13. So is there any parts of the game that make the game replayable that isn't just a specific part of the game that changes in a not very important way? Sure there are different endings but I have to go through a lot of stuff that I've already seen to get there, it's the same with the Kaidan/Ashley choice and I'm not replaying to watch another Bio romance. edit: I guess I'm looking for the same replayability that KOTOR had with their dark/light choice.
  14. With only 25% of the creature creator. Actually less considering how little paint options there are.
  15. Automatic weapons healps with burst fire, if you fire a weapon that can burst fire without actually burst firing then you wont get the bonus. Look under secrets.
  16. Hey guys I just finished ME, fascinating huh! IS there any worth in replaying the game? Didn't seem that way to me but perhaps I missed it.
  17. It will not be easy to make something scary in Spore CC1, but I've already seen some pretty good attempts. 1 Because that ain't what the game is about unless Will Wright is a very different character from what I've seen yet.
  18. Get Fidel. Get Fidel. Get Fidel. Get Fidel. Get Fidel. Get Fidel. Get Fidel. Get Fidel. Get Fidel. Get Fidel. Remember to repair your equipment during any and all downtime, helps a lot. Did I mention that I like Fidel? Remember that you can climb ontop of the roofs. Rooftop sniping is the key to many victories. Wolf Sanderson is perhaps the best jack-of-all-trades and can with some training (or heavy use) become very good at either mechanics or explosives. Leadership sucks rotten eggs, it ain't like raising militias is particularly slow or anything and the downtime is ussually usefull since Deidranna don't know what coordinated attacks are. Fidel is quite good whichever way you put him, I'm slightly biased though. Edit: Which traits did your IMP get?
  19. Optimizing the IMP sounds like a good way to make the game boring. I remember the first time I attacked Drassen, I had to rest in the middle sector since I had made some really bad choices. Don't be afraid of trying things out Krezack first time is learning time.
  20. Good man. Did you play STALKER? It's sorta like that in that it is hard at the beginning, easy at the middle (3 or more mines captured) and hard at the end. The beginning is the most fun in some ways. Or perhaps it's about another version that neither of us have. Edit: Damn, I need to get back to my JA2 'on hiatus' game.
  21. I can easily see how the arbitrary loft on spending could ruin things. I guess Krezzy will have to figure out where he stands on the 'can you pirate something you already own' issue. Edit @ Krezack: In case you're intruiged by Hurlshot mentioning 1.13
  22. Krezack shouldn't try that unless he has completed the game at least once. I didn't experience that but I'm not sure if I have the gold edition since I have the gold pack and I'm not sure if there is a difference. Why don't you try it? Shouldn't take long too long to install. Edit: But seriously, unless I remember the game wrong certain people in here are overreacting about the money bug, all it takes is a bit of restraint.
  23. Is it the steam version thatr you have? If so then go cry in the corner. If not then it should work fine, I'm pretty sure I have JA2 gold and it works. Edit: Ok... I can't find my JA2 box... Panic! Edit 2: Ok, found it. Mine has medallion printed up top and is called Jagged Alliance 2 Gold Pack. If this is the one you have then it works. Edit 3: The financial thing might be bad depending on your self-restraint. Will you be able to keep yourself to only hiring mercenaries as you build up the money that you technically already have? That was just about what money meant in that game, I mean sure you have, like cost to build up militias, but that was close to nothing. You can't really buy
  24. You move the mouse from sideways and press the left mousebutton to advance into the core. Edit: I don't use the mouse as I think it makes the paddle (or whatever it is) move too fast.
  25. So how ant-ish is this guy on a scale from 1 to 10? Have you tried it? It's quite fun and not even close to the full game in any way. yea but do they bounce? It should be possible to make something that looks like that, yes. @Xard The following things are potentially NSFW: This one becomes erect. Creature with ****. Image linked. This one even has breasts. Another. There are better ones but I don't read the right forums and I don't really want to either. Edit: Also, you guys are aware that you can drag-and-drop other peoples PNGs into your own CC and play around with peoples creatures?
