  1. Why Streetighter tho? Tbh I played one my first playthrough and hated it. But I can def consider an Ascendant. Does a Trickster pair well with it?
  2. For my final run I'm thinking if a Trickster/Soulblade since I always have so much Focus left over.
  3. Overall I thought the DLC was everything the base game should have been - focused and narrative driven. I'm glad to see Obsidian still has it because after all the bugs and cringey dialogue I was wondering if Deadfire was made by the B team
  4. It's buggy. Just Wait a few hrs till morning, go in the building, then come out. On a side note isn't it funny how they will lock the headquarters, but no one else locks their doors, and vendors work 24/7? Lol
  5. I just don't see the synergy honestly. Biasedly, I see no reason to ever multi a Priest. Might as well go Paladin. Priest's best spells are at lvl 8 and 9 and exponentially increase their prowress.
  6. That sounds more like a player problem than a game problem. Maybe. But it's damn near impossible never selecting Honest or Rational decisions. Maybe you'd do better with Shady.
  7. Playing a Paladin or Priest is so hard in this game. I tried a Priest of Wael and it didn't work!
  8. Is maybe the cringiest story section of this game. I'm speaking about the trial after blowing up the RDC powderhouse. Previous I had framed the VTC. Played out in a predictable but acceptable manner. BUT this time I lied and said I didn't see anything. And the Queen just says...oh well! That's it. The "trial" ends. So yeah, not much effort put into the alternate, and quite frankly, it looks super lazy :/.
  9. Good stuff TC. For a Rogue I would add they pair well with classes that cause afflictions cause of Sneak Attack. In fact I think their pair well with any class minus more support oriented like Cleric, Druid, or Paladin.
  10. Yeah Eviee is an easy pickup and one of the best pets through the entire game. Where is the one with the armor penalty reduction? Edit: beat me to it haha. Wow Abraham is legit I'm going to pick him up now!
  11. This is why I created a custom Marauder adventurer and not an MC. She is crazy powerful but she doesn't replace the versatility I have with my Trickster/Beguiler. Granted, for a better DPS build I'd go Trickster/Soulblade only because I simply have too much Focus at the end of a fight. One build that was fun and I may make again is a Beastmaster. Seemed to synergize well and was able to RP easily. You could also try a Wizard martial build. Funny enough the Wizard has the best weapon summon + enchantment spells in the game.
  12. It? Haven't seen any clowns running around Eora thus far, but It could still be hibernating for all we know. It'd probably get on fine with Rymrgand and Skaen though, so long as they aren't terrified of It. I'm not familiar with an "it" but I do know if an "IT".
  13. Can you simply add it in a patch? The process as it is now is really frustrating.
  14. PoE is more wizard centric than any IE game ever was. Developer(s) found one mechanic to rule them all (similar to cooldowns in other modern RPGs) that is good enough at applying spell effects, and used it to apply all other effects in the game, by using same resource mechanic for everyone too. That level of uniformity is not terrible for pnp games where you need to play fast and all you can do is roll dice, but in a computer game that means that yes, classes mechanically behave the same. Uh right. You actually played Eternity at some point? You realize it is perfectly viable to beat it with no wizard at all? Good luck beating BG2 on any real difficulty level without a wizard. But Eternity, way more wizard focused. Yeah. Its actually not difficult at all. Its not uncommon for me to avoid taking a wizard altogether. Why? DRUIDS. I have never seen a wizard able to defend against Insect Plague. No save, splits to multiple enemies, no protections block it, shuts down spellcasting altogether. MUCH easier than any wizard duel. Alternatively, an Inquisiter Paladin, or Wizard Slayer fighter, or Bard (That high level dispel magic). Hilariously wizards/sorcerors are only like, the 5th best class to beat another wizard. What you wrote was so hard to read and get through for multiple reasons...but let me just say this- In no way whatsoever, do you face so many druids in BG2 that excluding a wizard in your party is an optimized or reasonable decision. It's just being a contrarian, esp when you bring up Wizard Slayers, easily considered the worst class in the game. Wizards DO in fact have counters to Insect Plague sound as reflection. Next you're going to tell us Staff of the Magi or Staff of the Ram are overrated.
  15. Any class being able to cast Wizard Spells via scrolls is pretty powerful. It's not like there are a lot of good active skills anyway...Athletics, Arcana, and Alchemy. Explosives for lolz.
