  1. Create a Druid or Beastmaster with Charm/Paralyze Beasts and summons for the first island.
  2. Priests of Skaen are downtrodden and or torturers...really hard to RP as a Watcher imho unless you take the slave route.
  3. Rogues have one lvl 9 active skill. And its redundant. That def needs to change.
  4. Some classes are better as multis (Rogues) some as single (Priests) and some great as both (Monks, Wizards). I think it's balanced pretty well honestly.
  5. Go with Dhow. Best bang for your buck. It's too much fun upgrading equip
  6. Well as I suspected I'm in the minority. Which is great to know. Tldr - be more patient TC
  7. What about Nomad Brigadine which provides immunity to disengagement attacks?
  8. Ugh there are difficulty settings. This isn't an online game. I don't see the issue?
  9. It's funny how both Rod of the Deep Hunter and Three Bells Through are kinda crap, considering how you get them.
  10. Problem with that is that you don't get any Rogue benefits despite the Priest's abilities going in that direction. True. So you said you tried Trickster and it didn't mesh?
  11. Ah well that certainly provides context. I was lucky enough to pick it up a year after it was released.
  12. In four playthroughs I've only fought the Guardian of Ukaizo twice. First time he didn't show and the last time he is invisible. I have never faced a similar issue in any other RPG. I've also never played a game with so many dialogue or quest breaking bugs. Admittedly I haven't played some of the supposedly buggier RPGs like Elder Scrolls or New Vegas, so I'm curious where Deadfire ranks in others' experiences. Tldr - Deadfire is one of the buggiest RPGs I've played.
  13. Duskfall and Squids Grasp absolutely need to be higher. Animancers Blade much lower.
  14. Why would a boss give you pointers? He hired you to do a job. You're supposed to know how to do it. If not, get out, he can hire someone better. Due to the fact that this game offers an incredible amount of different combinations and synergies between items and classes, a generalized "tier list" is completely useless. For example, Deltro's Cage is very strong if you build yourself around Shock damage, with the soulbound weapon and other Shock PL gear. And that's one of the best builds in the game atm. Nomad's Brigandine is fantastic when you combo it with Offensive Parry, there's even a build on the forums that explains the synergy. And Humility has - among other things - 20% Pierce resistance, and is a 0% light armor, which means that your 3 CON 3 RES Wizard with this armor is suddenly less vulnerable to getting one shotted in a ship battle. TLDR if this really somehow took you 20 hours, well, imagine you could've spent that time watching cat videos. So I'm not sure where you work, nor do I care enough to get the details, but your mindset is extremely archaic, unproductive, and hostile. I work at a leading small consulting firm with industry leading clients (which I can't divulge here) and at all levels of our org we coach each other and our clients. In fact, a key piece of our value proposition is our executive coaching. The next time you come across something you need to learn or could benefit from guidance remember your own advice and see how you fair. Trust is built through vulnerability and looking out for others' best interests, not brutish "know or get out" responses.
  15. I think Effigy Husk should be S tier and Swift Hunter's Garb a tier lower but other than that looks good.
  16. If you're looking for damage and tanking you can't go wrong with a Trickster/Soulblade. By the latter stages you can easily accumulate a couple hundred Focus and then unleash it with Soul Annihilation.
  17. If you like a build that's all that matters. I was only speaking from a matter of opinion. I'm certainly no powergamer.
