1) Wow, great allies you make. Selling RPGs to Assad and then turning around and selling them to the Rebels so they can fight Assad. Priceless. Russians even backstab their friends. 2) Doesn't look like the Syrian army isn't learning that fast. You want more current? Try these on for size: The Sham Falcons Brigade of the Syrian rebels compiled some of the most noteable tank engagements from the year in high quality. From 4 days ago. That bites. You might check the exchanges for catastrophic coverage. It's usually much cheaper. Thankfully (!) my coverage is still in effect, although the medical premiums went up for the second straight year by 10%. Comparable coverage policies thru the ACA exchanges would double my premiums at the least (I checked). And there wasn't a comparably priced plan at any level. Even the bronze plans were 50% more costly.

Bogaerts is batting .294 and Laser Show is batting .264. Otherwise I agree with nobody hitting in the series as it pertains to the Sawx. The Cards have a couple of guys hitting better than 300; Beltran, Molina and Craig and Holiday is at .286 but overall the bats aren't coming through for either team. Or maybe it's just a lack of timely hitting. The Cards have scored 11 runs total in 5 games. That's isn't going to get it done.

If I'm the Cards, Ortiz should have been walked in the first inning after Pedroia's double. I'm giving him anything in the strike zone. The guy is hitting .733 and the rest of the team is hitting .151. If Drew, Ross, Gomes beats you, fine. But I wouldn't let Papi see anything that even sniffs the strike zone. Nobody is hitting in this series (except Ortiz). I think combined the two teams (minus Ortiz) are hitting .186

Giants remaining games: Oakland, Green Bay, Dallas, @ Was, @ SD, Sea, @ Det, Was To have a legit shot they probably have to finish 6-2 to end no worse than 8-8. That means they likely need to beat Dallas (by more than 5) and Was twice (for tie breakers) plus Oakland, SD and Detroit. Sea and GB aren't likely wins for them. That's not a difficult schedule. So it is doable. Likely? No. But certainly doable.

Left building swarmed by Assad troop's, tanks just move to positions, shot to targets all ammo, after this they retread to base, while other tank unit replace them at position. Assad troops quite experienced now. And meanwhile, in Daraya, a Syrian T-72 cooks off after a rebel attack http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxFn7u6Y_RE

Hit & Miss - Finalized/Updated?
kgambit replied to Pray's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
I think the last two examples are off. You've changed the attack vs defense differential by 5% but you reduced/increased the total hit/miss percentages by 15% if you include the crit hits and misses. If I understood the system (and that's not a given) the crit range was a fixed distance from the bottom of the hit range. So I think those last two examples should be: a melee attack 20 vs melee defense 15 is 10% - 45% - 45% - 0 a melee attack 15 vs melee defense 20 is 0 - 45% - 45% - 10% I'm not sure but I think there is always some minimum % for a graze. So even if your attack-defense differential is 50 or greater that there is still a finite chance of not scoring a clean hit. Edit: There is. Here's Josh's quote: I could be wrong about this, so someone correct if I am. Here's the thread where Josh's comments from Something awful are quoted: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/63091-josh-sawyer-on-miss-and-hit/page-11?hl=%2Bcombat+%2Bhit+%2Bmiss&do=findComment&comment=1296667 -
Project Eternity boxed version?
kgambit replied to Dunedain's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
And I'm 99% certain that time has come and gone for Obsidian. Because again, why else would they not be offering any physical goods to slacker backers? Is it because they simply don't like you guys? lol And you're 99% wrong. (It's always possible that they have changed their mind on this. But this is what I got from Obsidian when I asked about getting a boxed version as a slacker backer.) From an email exchange with Obsidian: -

The Last Dark: The Last Chronicles Of Thomas Covenant by Stephen R. Donaldson The final book of The Last Chronicles Of Thomas Covenant, and the climax to the story of Thomas Covenant.

Okay. I got it. The whole purpose of the rule is to make it as clear cut as possible. That being said, there are instances where the umpires do not get things right. Reggie Jackson getting in the way of a throw in game 4 of the 1978 WS is a classic example. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvWKWvrVfrI The funniest part of that is watching Tommy Lasorda got flipping nuts. PS: Gomes just went yard for the SOX. They lead 4-1 in top of the 7th.

How did the Cowboys force 5 Detroit turnovers and still lose?
-
Well, pardon me for being a gurl or something and thinking the rule itself is stupid. A lot of rules in life and games are often stupid. I was not arguing whether the rule was technically wrong regarding how the rule is currently written. But I would rather, on the rare times such types of obstruction occur, that they put everyone back where they were and just re-do the whole at bat. I'd want it even if it was reversed and STL was the one who would have lost with such a call. And I don't think it's the same thing as a batter being hit by a pitch. Your gender had nothing to do with my comment. Salty's throw had already gone past Middlebrooks there was no issue of Wes being "in the act of fielding a ball." That's the only time obstruction is a judgement call is when a fielder is interfered with. Since that didn't apply, the rule simply asks "Did the player impede the runner?". How is that stupid? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obstruction_(baseball) I haven't read one comment on any sports site that says the umps got the call wrong. They all say it was a totally bizarre and unusual play, but everyone agrees that they got the call right.
-
LOL By that logic a hit batter shouldn't count if it wasn't intentional. Taking intent out of the call makes it a clear cut decision. Did the player interfere or impede the runner's progress? If yes, it's obstruction. This wasn't even a borderline call LC. It was obvious. Tough play, tough call (but the correct one) and a tough way to lose. Was it unintentional? Probably, you can thank Salty for the throw that put Middlebrooks in Craig's path. But it doesn't matter. That's the second game the Sawx have lost with an errant throw to third. Breslow airmailed one in game two.
