In the end it could take you to a place you don't want to tread. There isn't always a place where you can take tendencies, in some places you have to make a choice. How you make that choice can be harder if you stay away from the paths. What if you were the Exile, eventually you have to pick a side. When you pick one side that will influence others. Some more strongly than others, some will see a lightside choice and take to it strongly, eventually you are disregarded for using the power they just suffered to fight. You are an enemy, they could even have you turn to the darkside to avoid or destroy them. Not all tools are good, even with a good user.

your favorite Sith Lord
The Yeti of 66 replied to Darth_Onivega's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I picked Revan. I love Revan. Revan was great. He was a great duelist and tactictian. He could beat probably anyone one on one in a duel, he may not be as great of a duelist as Vader (before suit) he could have won by tactical advantage like Obi-Wan did. I could have put Nihilus, but he was terrible for all of the hype. You don't put somebody as the face on a box if they are sucky. -
Who would be the main char in K3
The Yeti of 66 replied to Darth_Onivega's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Revan. If not Revan I want a new character. I want a character that was regarded the greatest _____ user in the Jedi order. (depending on your class, lightsaber, watcher, force user) Nearly all of your power was lost though when your character fell to the Darkside. You were one of the greatest ____ users in Revan's army when you fell and used that power to destroy many Jedi. Eventually your hate consumed you somehow and you went into a self conflict that nearly destroyed you. Almost all of your power was lost. Now you have a choice, either go back to the light and redeem yourself in the eyes of the Jedi and the Republic, or stay in Darkness and discover greater secrets to keep yourself from self destruction once again. -
Full Jedi.

Not all the grays are so powerful. They see but sometimes their intentions are too hard to figure, and you cannot always stay neutral. Revan became the dark lord of the sith to prevent a tragedy. But look at what he was doing, he was killing Jedi, and turning them to a place of weakness. He should have taught them to use the Dark as a tool, but rather he created a Sith army of Darkness that was filled with blind followers. He led the campaign that destroyed the jedi and left the galaxy helpless against 3 broken and weak Sith Lords. The Jedi order was gone. Intentions mean nothing if a greater tragedy is caused. There is way to say all the sides are blind or arrogant or weak. Look at Yoda, great follower of the light. He was very wise and could see things greatly. Even a grey may have not been able to see the Sith return, for how subtle it was. Whoever said Jedi forgoing compassion though they fight for it. You must realize that there are those who have compassion, and those who forgoe it to keep it alive. They are at peace so they are able to see the force truly, rather than be blinded by anger, or be too mixed in either side potentially sending others down a place you did not intend. Jedi. They were the first for a reason.

your favorite Prestiege class
The Yeti of 66 replied to Darth_Onivega's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Why is master so popular? I guess it is the best 'story' choice, but I liked Weapon Master. Though that was easy to choose since the others just make the game even more boring. -
What fundamental force power would you want
The Yeti of 66 replied to dufflover's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
"But are such perceptions enough to see and understand the universe? They are not." I said speed, though I want to change it to push or pull. I loved that in JA. No matter how bad the fight got, I could push my way out of it, or pull their weapon away. It was hilarious. -
He is the most boring rant guy ever. I listen to HK-50 and Kreia for hours before I pick this guy up again. You do learn more about the Exile though. You learn that the exile (though only a knight) had been training many other students. The exile was basically a guardian teacher, mostly focusing on the lightsaber, teaching how you could hear rythm in the blade while in movement or something.

Screw powers, I want to be a super lightsaber wielder. Oh man I have a killer idea. Rather than multi-classing you should pick one class but you can use the 3rd eddtion rules to be more free with it. However: Guardian (Weapon Master/Marauder) - Power is almost solely used on the signiture weapon of the Jedi, the lightsaber. This master is the strongest, fastest, and most unequaled fighter. To defend from powerful attacks in the force this master either attempts to take the blow or absorb it with his/her lightsaber. This master has very few force powers (only about three signiture ones) and they are not very powerful. Sentinal (Watchman/Assasin) - A powerful but more balanced approach. This master relies on a balance to survive, prefering to either assess or strike from the shadows. This master combines the power of the force and the lightsaber into a fight. Usually these powers though are used to defend, live longer, or strike from the dark. There are more offensive powers than the guardian, but not as many as consular. Consular (Master/Lord) - This master is the epitome of force users. They prefer to use little or no lightsaber use to use powers. They have many powers, and can use them to kill or to defend against such attacks. If they have to use their weapon, their form is fast and acrobatic, but not very strong, leaving little impact in a strong fight. Much better than picking something like Guardian and still being uber force user by the end IMO.

what would your lightsaber style be?
The Yeti of 66 replied to Darth_Onivega's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I would likely have a blue or a yellow. Definitly single. The most powerful people ever have had single. I would also consider a purple one that says 'badass mutha f***a' on it. Without the censor of course. -
Hell no. Seriously no. I want a virtual unknown for Revan, somebody that doesn't look like much but then looks like a badass later on. This person will need to be very talented and quite young to learn all of the movements. Somebody good enough to properly make a transition from weak, funny, and childish whatever, to serious OMFG badass Revan. Also has to do the revelation quite well, like a shock but something he could feel all along. Exile has to be good also, has to go from proud arrogant broken Jedi, to a powerful Jedi Master. Also has to be able to withstand all of the incessant talking.

Where will #3 take place?
The Yeti of 66 replied to Jarlaxle 56's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Most of K3 will likely take place on the outer rim. I doubt any of it will be in the core worlds, they are boring. Alderaan would suck since we saw it in Episode 3, and they have no weapons. Snorefest unless you have negotiating and some really beefy dialouge. Later it would be in the Outer Reaches, on the way though your ship would be attacked by that meteor thing and burned by acid. You will wake up on some planet lost with no ship. You will then be attacked constantly by strong things making the first difficult KotOR yet. K1 was kinda hard first time through, but after that both games are simple. -
this game is good after all...
The Yeti of 66 replied to zeroFantasy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I hardly saw that as force sex.... Maybe I see it differently. I've been playing K1 again. I've just been reminded of so much!! The game seems better with K2 now, it is just better anyway. K1 may be the best game I have played since BG2. The only good I see K2 as now is to add to K1. That is all, the game was too incomplete to be good. I'm getting it on PC as soon as possible so I can get that upcoming fix, I hope it's good. -
Lucas, and all others in a high position favor the light. So you are fighting a losing battle friend. The most popular KotOR playthroughs and the supposive 'canon' is light so..... PaH! LS if you couldn't tell. In the end it is all that is left, it is the begining and the end. The light is never gone cause there is an end to the tunnel. Just hope you don't come out of it at night though...

Korriban Saved Game for PC version?
The Yeti of 66 replied to firehawk12's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
*You* don't have to be darkside for this to work. You just have to say Revan was. I have seen on my bro's playthrough so wont be doing that. My Revan was never dark. He would draw on the dark but he was good. -
That's a silly thing to say. First off, how on earth do you know there's no one who's using Q3 engine for their game right now? I seriously doubt all developers have sent you personal emails stating what engine they use for their current project. As for older engines not being able to handle "cool" stuff... check out http://www.thewitcher.com/witcher.asp -- this is being done with Bioware's Aurora engine as the base but i seriously doubt anyone would be able to tell that on their own from the visuals alone. Aurora engine was on this very forum deemed "useless" by some people who were wailing how brand new game engine is the only way to go. At the end of the day the 'cool stuff like hoods' are just textured polygons with optional animation. Now i might be wrong, but KotOR engine is certainly capable of displaying animated, textured polygons. And if i remember right, they didn't make it in the game mostly due to *hardware* limitations, i.e. there's only that many textured polygons you can display on the Xbox if you want to keep framerates acceptable for a console title... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That is a good argument. However I'll just say that I'm bored with this engine and graphics. The new engine should have the same rules and stuff, however I want all the new cool stuff. Longer lightsabers, new robes that look more like the ones from the movies (Anakin in robe when he went to kill Viceroy Gunray was awesome) and just tons of crap. Look at the Gothic series, they could use the same stuff, no need to change cause they could add tons of good stuff to the engine that may seem useless but I've seen great things done with it in the modding community. Now look at Gothic 3, those graphics and the new engine will draw a whole new audience *and* keep old fans happy. I want, I want, I want!! GIVE ME!!!

How does Nihilus react? Does he jerk around furiously and then the fight continues? Is he even weaker or stonger, or roughly the same? Is there a dialouge with her like the one with Atton that was cut? Is there a little aside by Kreia?

I pray for a DS patch
The Yeti of 66 replied to Darth Kavar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Too much missing dialouge for a DS patch unless it was made by Obsidian. -
Stop the whole Exile + Raven fighting the Sith.
The Yeti of 66 replied to MTJ's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
To whoever said it, there will not just be 2 characters. You seen the SW movies, how many times do the people actually listen and stay put? 0. Atton was not killed off, Bao was naught but a holo, and many other chars did't get mentioned not just because of a lack of ending, but because these people will likely be in the next game. -
How does Kreia know that...
The Yeti of 66 replied to The Yeti of 66's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Yes that makes sense. They both learned the location, but Revan knew where it was because he felt the call of home. Yes that works. Or maybe the when he felt that call he knew who it was, the Sith. He then told Kreia. I personally think the Mandalorian Wars were to draw Revan out, a way for the Sith to see if Revan was really there. They must have felt him as he felt them. Maybe a bond formed between them in his younger years. How did Revan end out so far from the empire I wonder? -
How is this topic in any way related to ROTS. In ROTS they made everything *look* worse. Even the lightsabers looked worse. In K3 I want improvements, not downgrades.
-
Once this one is finished there will be one. Start as Revan, or have the game be about him, blah blah blah, stuff happens, nice happy ending! If you're DS well then too bad!! Revan will kill you....or the Exile whoever you are. Then they continue KotOR like the movies are. Forget the force powers and just focus on the coolest thing in star wars.....the lightsaber. Fast paced duel and what-not. Boom boom (russian for empty headed or for me a way to say kick arse fights) !!!

No choice of races!! That armor pic is hilarious though. I may use that as my avatar on Off Topic 4.

Is his left arm broken? I'm just kidding. Nice work Btw. Ever considered adding color? Try photoshop, that way you won't ruin it if you screw up. -
How does Kreia know that...
The Yeti of 66 replied to The Yeti of 66's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
She could be like Revan. A true Sith that somehow ended up in the outer rim.
