  1. According to story and force power Revan should win. They then either become allies way later or the Exile uses her powerful ability to show Revan something that makes him lose in the belief factor or whatever.
  2. The characters contradict each other though. How do you explain the Exile's gift at command? Force bonds okay, but that doesn't influence the battle like that, skill of troops and whatnot. The Exile still could go and kick some butt right in the begining. The characters have too many contradictions of Revan to be accurate. They didn't ever know him so they are wrong IMO. Revan prepared for the war blah! That's just what she tells herself as the reason why he was able to kill her father, all of the other Jedi were still out there killing Mandalorians like crazy until that final battle. Revan prepared but not in the way she's thinking cause she doesn't understand the Darkside. Kreia is the only reliable source.
  3. Remember what Kreia says. The force is far more than a match for military strategies. Stronger force users just know what to do. It's like a limited form of battle meditation, only you can't influence the fight, you just use that power to command. Revan was an ace at it so that means he had learned that skill as well as the force to aid. If they just went for best strategist then they go back to some other general that loses, the force is just stronger.
  4. It'd be more interesting if they fought IMO. Besides, they have to make either character hard to kill. That way you have challenge, and some good story to it.
  5. That's what she says. Also, Revan was a Knight, otherwise he wouldn't have been able to go without a master saying no to him. He had enough freedom to go without approval, so knight. He was also young (as most jedi are when they get the title of knight) so I'd say he was about in his early to mid 20's. Bastila is a few years younger than him I think. Neither the Exile or Revan was too young to command troops like that. Revan is younger than the Exile and he took over the entire fleet, not just a general. That was mostly command over the force, you want your Jedi to lead, and almost no masters went or put themselves in such a high position, so you've got your strongest force users.
  6. The dark side is always there. You can't just shut it out just because you did so a few times. You can go and turn the most powerful Jedi Master who has seen the worst to the Dark Side. Revan left everything behind to prevent a fall but things tend to go the opposite of the plan. If he's not the main character I think he will fall, for real this time. They need a strong character who falls just to show its power. They need some sort of tragic Anakin style fall, and then some retribution or Kreia style lesson afterwards. Something cool and new. The way you talk about it the game will just be fighting over and over until eventually the good guys win. People fall, people weep, and people die. In the end you see nothing but futility in the darkside. That's what this game lacks as far as Star Wars.
  7. Revan is the story character. If stuff happens, it'll happen to him, not the Exile. That and I really can see most anyone (except Exile, unless already) fall the the Darkside. These are the True Sith, they have techniques in the force that you could not even imagine. Whether power, loss, or pain I can see some really big falls here.
  8. The next one should be dark. Very dark. And people that you know should die to show how real the threat is, but it has to be well done. Like a burger so well cooked that it almost makes you cry. But it still has to be an epic burger.
  9. I remember this great board. One of the best actually, we talked about everything until the mods said keep it more in line with the game. It's still a pretty good board anyway. http://swforums.bioware.com/ Go crazy. P.S- sorry if I came across as assholish.
  10. That last bit in the tomb of Korriban was the future, it wasn't just a bit to make up for no Revan in the game. The tomb symbolized that the Exile had settled his past to meet his future, Kreia said it herself in a way. In the next game it will likely appear that Revan has taken his spot among the true sith as a high one. He is far up there, perhaps even the new Dark lord, however since it's a war of belief he is up there to expose Sith roots to have his Jedi allies attack, since they were not strong enough to do so in the end. He calls for help because he needs just that, Jedi allies, he may have some control, but he's no army, he can't just wipe them out alone. He is shocked to find out that the 100 remaining knights are gone, all dead, save one. He weeps for his dear Bastila (behind closed doors of course, no sith lord is a sissy) and waits for his only help. And there she is, the exile. Not his favorite choice, but when you're the one barely holding open the door, somebody has to go through and do the job. So the Exile does a hell of a bit in wiping out their core, but Revan's intentions are not so clear at first. They will not fight yet, because you cannot take power so easy, the true sith masters sit back and watch the fireworks from their nice seat in the outer rim. A nice war of belief drawing out the only two Jedi is perfect for them to begin seige on the Republic. So now Revan takes what bit of power he has left and saws it at it's roots, killing the Sith who were 'in charge' and dashing back to the Republic space in his old ship, leaving the exile in the far reaches. Many large and losing battles are there, the republic is falling slowly, only two things seem to be saving them. Two powerful generals who have risen to the call of war. The first is Revan, who is leading the battered fleets and fighting whatever he can, but he is all alone, there is nobody else to influence or anything. He is a lone Jedi. The second general appears to be even greater at winning battles than Revan, and has led the only victories against the Sith. The Republic is now on the brink of collapse, all that needs to be done now is rip out it's heart, and since the vital ribcage (the Jedi) have been removed there is nothing to stop the destruction of the core worlds. By now the Exile has found a way to follow and sees the Ebon Hawk, her ship, ditched again. Revan's final master taught him one last thing, how to leave the Jedi forever, and he never recovered from it (why he was not the best student in the end) and the final lessons took place at Malachor. Now, only three days later the Exile finds nothing but Ravaged ships and dead senators at many of the core worlds. Something went wrong, another choice much like the Exiles was made, the choice to use such power of the force this time, and it was done under the same circumstances, only Revan still has the force, which means that Revan has turned fully, now the new Sith Master, corrupted beyond belief. Now the Exile and Revan duel. Revan is winning though, he is killing the Exile. After a long and tiring battle the Exile is defeated, but Revan still clings to his final masters lessons, and trys to put his point of view into the Exiles head. Already learning this lesson though, the Exile rises unchanged, but all others now think the Jedi are gone. And finally the last of the Jedi scraps form together to fight Revan. The lost Jedi return led by Bastila, these are all defeated though, and in a horridly sad but epic turn Revan kills Bastila (imagine how cool and emotional that scene would be, but sad) showing how dark Revan has truly become. The Exile comes back, Revan using the lost Jedi as bait, they have a final battle and you win in the game, but then it goes to cutscene and you lose the fight. But now you rise for a final time and win in the true way of the Jedi (or Sith) and win not in combat, but show Revan the truth. Using the ablity of the force bond you link to Revan and show how he is wrong, if light you show the futility of the Dark, and if Dark you show the weakness of blind murder. In the end you do not kill Revan, now that you have shown him your point of view by pushing it into his mind, you Exile him. Send him off to his own time of recollection and hope he will come back as the way he should. Some big scene. The End. It would be very long though.
  11. I do. That will be the only thing I haven't yet done in the game besides cheating! Gimme!
  12. Obsidian had a suggestions forum so they did care about that bit. Of course only the earliest suggestions mattered, the rest were tossed out the window.
  13. Question! Are you guys just restoring the cut stuff, cause there are chunks of it that I thought had no voicing done, what are you doing about that? Is it just being removed or what? That and how was the droid planet supposed to fit into the story?
  14. Vrook is all annoying and Mastery, so the only way to get him to shut up is to nod and follow.
  15. The Carth one was priceless. MASTER I DO NOT TRUST YOU, AND I CANNOT TRUST YOU, OR ANYBODY ELSE, EVER!!
  16. That's what it is. When the Jedi meet and are supposed to decided a plan of action against the Sith, but instead they just turn on the Exile and decide to cut him/her off from the force. EDIT: No wait I get ya.
  17. He was refering to the Jedi mostly. The old Republic is 2-3 different ones.
  18. Do you just come to post that every so often? Or was that a joke? They kinda just said that in the last page...
  19. See what you must actually do. Actually learn to listen and open your eyes to the force I think. I'm going to try a full dark or neutral game next and kill them all and see what the dialouge is. That one was great though, much better than the all light one.
  20. There are so many threads that they decided to sticky it since so many want to talk about K3. I don't think they should make a new character. It's not that hard to make a sequel with the same character and not draw in new fans. Take a look at BG2, you just have to do it right and still make it interesting. In fact you can start out with a begining almost exactly like that. You are trapped in some dungeon or something, and it's dark, really dark. Maybe you are here with somebody from the opposite party, since you would likely be Revan you are with Atton. You are weak from some form of Sith torture, the torture did not seem right and you have no idea why they didn't kill you outright. Blah blah blah, you find out that Revan is a true sith after oh so many hours, big great war. No more planet hopping, give you real motivation to go to a planet, you are on a string, and your choices decide the planets and the order you go to. Or even if you go back to them. Choice on location should be limited, but choice on the planet should be immense. Big big map. Do a good job, after this **** I don't care if you spend 3 and a half years on it, just as long as it is strong, dark, epic, and very good fights. I want focus on the lightsaber, don't limit your consulars to just force powers. I say almost all of the fighting should be sabers, and your styles and advantages/disadvantages go with classes. For instance the guardian is a kick ass fighter, very fast (picture Anakin vs. Obi-Wan, or Obi-Wan vs. Maul) but when put against force powers this guy is terrible. This guy has to move fast or could be killed by the force powers (think Mace Windu blocking emperors lightning just barely, or Anakin getting fried by Dooku) Now the consulars are much faster, but do far less damage and cannot break through some defences (yoda vs. Dooku) They have the advantage against the force though since they can block/absorb it, or dish it our immensely. I don't know if that is a sucky translation of what I want but the lightsaber should be more focus. Knowledge of the force will not always win, then where will you be?
  21. They thought you were a threat because you could end up doing damage just like Nihilus, you could even make your companions learn how to bond and become stronger like those Assasins you fight. That's why you were considered a threat. Also, you don't have to draw power from somebody who uses the force, just one who is strong in it. Kreia was very experienced, also there was Atton. Between those two you could get plenty of power.
