Best Jedi Conclave?
The Yeti of 66 replied to The Yeti of 66's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The other master/s try to take revenge for killing Jedi, they fight you. I can't remember it all off the top of my head, but it was great. You should play it through, it's great. She says you failed her completly and utterly in every way when she asks you if revenge brought you satisfaction. Then she uses that drain move on you. Afterwards she tells you that she wanted the Jedi Order defeated, but she did not want them killed, she wanted them to see your point of view, then they'd see that exile was the wrong choice for you. She says when you sit there, unconcious you will have to acess or something, that's the part I don't remember. She says that after all of this, you will hopefully learn, then you will finally awaken for the first time. -
Question on Old Republic troopers
The Yeti of 66 replied to Eddo36's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
This was a different Republic. The one in this game collapses around the time where Bane took the Darth title I believe. Some time after this one collapses, the new one if formed. Palpatine: I will not let this republic which has stood for a thousand years be split in two. Only a thousand for that one, so the Newer republic had no Republic army. They didn't need one either, they just did coilitions with other planets armies I guess. -
the most disliked thing in kotor
The Yeti of 66 replied to Solar Xero's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I hated how you couldn't be manipulative or have much choice, you were just strung by those who were far superior at planning. There was really no choice in the matter, conflicts didn't end by how you acted, they ended one way only, regardless of alignment. The only thing you could manipulate was party members. No matter what, you were always tricked, never the one who gets to trick somebody else. You know what it's like to be played, but not playing someone else. -
I've done both keeping them alive and killing one or two. I thought (I was LS) that killing one or two was far better. The dialouge with Kreia was perfect after that, I thought it was far better than: Masters: Force wound. Vrook: You suck force from other people. Masters: You are odd. Vrook: I hate you. Vrook: Cut off from force. Kreia: Die! Vrook: ****. The other one was far better, the LS thing was cool the first time but was kinda sucky in comparison.

dueling vs 2 weapon fighting?
The Yeti of 66 replied to Solar Xero's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
You saw Maul vs. Obi-Wan. Obi was was kick Maul's arse because the double could not stand against a single opponent with a single saber. When Obi-Wan cut it in half Maul won the duel. He was then able to move fast enough. Single is much more aggresive because it is simpler, and even though simple it is far more elegant and powerful than the others. Anakin thought 2 sabers would help him against Dooku, he was wrong, Dooku parried his attacks like nothing and destroyed one of them even. All of the best, Jedi, Sith, every one of the best use the single. -
Unarmed Exile is sucky. At least melee can make some sense, especially if you take the path of the Sith, who didn't used to use lightsabers since they were Jedi weapons.

dueling vs 2 weapon fighting?
The Yeti of 66 replied to Solar Xero's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I don't get it. According to everything in Star Wars, single saber is the best way hands down. There is no better. Kotor did a horrible job of this. -
Start as LS and fall to the DS
The Yeti of 66 replied to Cassidy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
The story doesn't work well enough to do that. You don't need to have some big choice, but if you put in choices that are less moral, and more right and wrong then you could do it perfectly. Think, you base yourself on compassion as a Jedi. Something comes up, instead of do the good or the bad thing, do the right or the wrong thing. Either you save this person you care about instead of doing your duty, which could lead to the Darkside even though you feel you are doing the compassionate thing. That could make this work perfectly, it makes it seem right as opposed to what happens in the game, which is just taking extremes. -
Another thing is that the single is superior the the other styles. When Darth Maul had his saber cut in half he was twice as fast and beat Obi-Wan. He would have lost if he didn't get it cut in half I'm betting. None of the Jedi Masters or Sith Lords (with the exception of Maul) use more than one saber or double bladers. Single is the best. All of the best use them. Anakin (Vader) Luke Emperor Mace Windu Yoda (of course he's too small to use anything else) Revan (his scorpion stance only works with single) Everyone else who r0xx0rs

Has anybody beaten the game without a lightsaber? Is that even possible or will somebody eventually say you can't go on, or will they weld one to your hands or something?

destabilize republic by going against GOTO?
The Yeti of 66 replied to darth plumpie's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I don't think so...this Republic lasts a few thousand years before collapsing and I think the Republic will be stronger after this game.. -
How about a new ship in KOTOR 3
The Yeti of 66 replied to mrchallenge's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
No...play K1 again. After a while he'll tell you that when some of his men were firing on these asteriods one came to life, burned up one of the ships in acid, and then ran like hell. They chased it all the way to the line of known space, it's in the unknown regions. Something that may attack you in the next game perhaps... -

Cameo Appearance Spoils Story's Premise
The Yeti of 66 replied to destinasi's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
If you did not kill Juhani she should have died from food poisoning or on Katarr so we don't have to see her again. There is no way to add interest to that character. Jolee is in hiding no matter what. Let's say that Revan's hate blinded him/her if you went dark and didn't strike a killing blow. Bastila is in hiding. She isn't all that powerful, she is quited skilled, with her battle meditation and all but not so powerful that you can sense her like that. If she was then Malak would have nailed her in a heartbeat, or been down to capture her. I don't think she left the order, she's just waiting for the right time to do whatever Revan told her, which is most likely to train or seek out Jedi. -
What, he was shaving with damned thing and sneezed right? I think he lost it to a Jedi Master, then he either killed the guy out of anger, or Revan killed him. Either way the guy who did it is likely dead. It wouldn't be Revan, trust me. Even though Malak was his friend, he fell to the Dark Side, if he had even a hint of betrayal he would have been abandoned or killed. Not put in his place. It also would not make sense story wise, one betrayal will come another, so Revan wouldn't be so surprised that Malak gunned his ship.

Both sides seem screwed up cause neither follows their own rules, they just use them to justify an enemy. Luke was a *true* Jedi, as was Qui-Gon. Obi-Wan also in 4. These people are those that actually fought for Jedi ideals as they were meant to be. True Sith are more manipulative. They turn enemies to create a powerful ally. They do not constantly betray unless your position in the end is stronger. Sidious is a good example. Ragnos also I guess. Those are far less screwed up.
-
That's not Sith, that's just stupid.
-
Well Luke was a hell of a Jedi still. Damn good duelist I read also, even a rival to his father in his younger years. If you think about it there are actually 3 prophecies. One of the Jedi, one of the Sith, and the true interpretation. The Jedi thought it meant destroy the Sith and let the light flood, and they fail to see that too much light is blinding, and too much darkness is cold and frightening. So there must be a daytime, that is that thing. Who destroyed the Sith and brought back the Jedi order? Luke did, he became one of, if not the most powerful Jedi that ever existed. Not because he had so much might, but because he was like Yoda, at peace, at great teacher of the force though he lacked one for very long. He was the quickest to learn this power at such an old age. You could argue Revan, but he was remembering, not learning. Luke still went on to be a hell of a Jedi and may have been stronger than those previous though most of the ancient secrets were lost. He was the new begining basically. The Sith have the Sith'ari, the great being who has learned of the Dark so well that he has reached his full potential and destroys the Sith. Bioware intended this to be Vader, but his potential was lost because of dependancy on the suit when he lost all close to him. So the true Sith'ari was sidious. Unlimited power was a lie, he saw it. Though he had the power to give Anakin unlimited power, Sidious reached his peak and did what all other Sith dreamed of. He killed the Jedi, all of them, every last one. Eventually though because of him, the Jedi returned, and he was the reason the Sith died, and fell (down a long hole) Then there is the true prophecy where everything is tied together. This Jedi was to bring balance. In the old times, many could suggest Revan, but he did more harm than help in the end. He brought mindless evil and unredeemable sith to the galaxy. Now you can see that this was Anakin. He was the catalyst for the Jedi's death, and he killed many of them. He also in the end destroyed the last Sith, and became one with the force as was meant to be. There was only one thing left, one young, very powerful, but quite neutral Jedi. He favored peace mostly, of the mind and body so that you could actually hear the force. He did not say to do this and this and this and this and then meditate on the good and peace you have brought. He wanted the forces will to be done. He was as the Jedi were meant to be, not like these 'Shadow Knights' who claim neutrality. Most people don't realize that 1 bad counteracts almost every good. You could save a thousand worlds, but you destroy one and you are an animal. Not just to people, but just look at you. Revan was a neutral bird, but he pecked at the eyes of the good guys and the structure, and therefore, no matter his intentions was bad. Intentions mean nothing if a greater tragedy is caused. Vrook was right though it hurts to say that. Revan was a gray dog, that was training other dogs to be black, rather than gray like him. He was killing them.

Also, if you find out about your past early in the game, though it will take a long time to implement it allows *you* to choose your character development.

As I said in another forum. I want to be a full Jedi that had fallen to the dark side. This Jedi was the greatest ____ user of the Jedi order (depending on class) and became the greatest user of the Sith as well. Shortly before the tragedy on Malachor V you left, unable to bear that you had just slaughtered so many that were close to you. Even your own Jedi Master. Eventually the stress, and the flood of emotions the Sith teach you to use make you so broken, so pained that you destroy yourself in the force. Your body basically collapses on yourself. You return to the outer rim when you hear a new Jedi academy has been constructed, but you take the role of a watchman, though your power has left, and without if you are too weak to retrieve your lightsaber. Through the force you are sent on a quest, you then learn what is put before you, you either go back to the Jedi and redeem yourself in the eyes of the Republic and those exiled Jedi, or you continue your old path and discover how to channel such power once you control your emotions. This could actually set you up for 4 potential endings. The standard 'oh yay, the galaxy was saved, I got the girl and I have plans to party until I collapse drunk and ironically die from a hit to the head.' Then you have the ending where you came back to the light, but became one with the force saving another, though it would have to be well done. You have the Dark Rise to power as we have seen in many games, where you have no idea what power is there to get, but you will have your hands on it. Then the last one, you fall again in a much more powerful, and much more tragic fall over something that happened to you, think of a Darth Vader style but much more personal cause you will spend more like 35 hours as opposed to 7. This ending could be a favorite for good acting and the Star Wars spirit that shows that power in the end is futile for what you lose. This could be well done with a master, but is set up much more highly if you are the great Jedi knight, the leader of your crew, what happens is up to you. Will you rise to power on their back? Will they help you to save the galaxy and meet large dancing women? Will you become so Dark and twisted yet so strongly bounded to them that when you finally take the last blow you will linger on in pain and darkness? Or will you fight so strongly to save them that it will cost your life. If *you* are the one pulling all of the strings, leading all of this then it could be a much better an open ended story. The concept of right and wrong is always set by the master. Now *you* set right and wrong and see the consequences for yourself. Now it won't just sound harsh, it will *be* harsh. You will see it for yourself.

The dark side is not how the force is meant to be. The dark side in face does damage to the force, not expose it's true means. The dark side started as subtle manipulation, even a good weapon can be used for harm, as it was. If you read the 3rd star wars book it says Sidious was as a true sith. He was very manipulative, and quite powerful (though nothing compared to his master or his last apprentice) and had reached his full potential. He was the Sith'ari, and he caused the great downfall of the Sith from which they would not recover until time may seem lost, what you may see as forever. He was at that time though said to be as a black hole in the force. Obi-Wan also tells Anakin he was supposed to use the force to destroy the Sith not leave it in darkness. Some of the greatest Sith Lords could manipulate the force to live long, and almost seemed like holes in the force, not at the extent of the exile, but in a paining way like Exar Kun. Ajunta Pall and the other Sith Lords could never be at rest because they did not become one with the force. They could not do so because they left it and destroyed it in themselves to a point to where they could not take the last journey of life. This darkness will not be the Sith. They are gone after 6, but they linger, however they basically had their backbone ripped out, then can move around slightly, but all that remains is tombs, memories and whispering ghosts. There will still be Dark Jedi that use the force as a quick and easy path, but the Sith are destroyed after that time. The darkside is truly futile, it leads to nothing but pain and misery. Not just for those around you, but for yourself as well. There are not many Sith who can say they are without regret. Those who were raised on it will have no problems with such, for that was their life. Sidious, Ragnos, Horde, Nadd, all of these were raised on it. Now look at Anakin, and Ajunta Pall, these were betrayers who were in so much pain when they fell it seemed as if they were dead if you saw them. Even the evil Malak, Sion, and Traya look back and think. The Sith is a belief. One that is far worse than just a Dark Jedi. A dark jedi is like using a knife that is meant to cut food to wound yourself or a friend. A Sith uses that knife to destroy your friends, your belongings, and yourself in the end.

On the main menu there is something about music. Open that up and click on the tab named Jedi I believe. That will do it.
