Stuck in Hand maiden base...
The Yeti of 66 replied to Aronman's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Just say you'll release them and then he wakes up. You go to find T3, tell him to go or stay and then you're done. -
I finally finished the game for the first time.
The Yeti of 66 replied to radiohead3's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
DS ending was worse in my opinion. In the LS ending you know what's going on, you know what just happened and you are left to wonder what will happen. In the DS ending, you have no idea what power you just got and will eventually leave Malachor on the Ebon Hawk anyway, so...you know. -
A Question about something the Ending
The Yeti of 66 replied to sotos's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Well Kreia said that the little one was waiting for you to go and find Revan. I believe that she meant T3 (who was on the ship) I don't know if it was fixed, but T3 had to save it or the little guy would be gone. So this means that it has to be the same ship, or we would lose quite a few characters. They may have also come out but that would kill Mandalore, Visas, Disciple, Handmaiden, Atton, HK, Hanharr possibly, and Bao-Dur. Since they weren't in the ending, you must assume that they were on the ship and one last stop was made where the exile tricked them and snuck away or something. That or they just got out to find you and were left behind. If you went dark the end would eventually be the same, the planet would not come into pieces but you would take the Ebon Hawk and go and find where Revan went. That is all. -
Was Revan the ultimate Sith Lord?
The Yeti of 66 replied to The Yeti of 66's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Sion was defeated because he wasn't meant to continue to hold the force. He was killed by words overall. Sidious could use his words and likely kill Sion the first time. Nihilus was defeated by *one* lie that made him weak, anybody could do that bit. Kreia was an old woman who died to complete the training of a broken jedi that relies on others for power. She was the basic model of Revan however and was there to prepare the exile for their meeting and the Sith. By the end of the game, Revan and the Exile would be formidable opponents for the old Sith Lords. From what I read of Sidious, he was like the god of the Sith during the Jedi Civil War and hunting the remaining Jedi. Then he slipped a bit, but still chilling. Revan was cool because even when you find out that he is good no matter your side you take he (or she) still rocks. To me, it seems that Revan is the ultimate Jedi. He just takes it a step further, power is chaos, but with restraint, power can preserve the greater good. Limiting your emotion (poorly I might add) is not worthwhile and restraint can create a power that even the Sith or the Jedi can not stop. Your power is never blind, and it is not lost. As for the old Sith, notice they were defeated by the Jedi before lightsabers were invented a few times? That hardly makes me think that the old Sith were in any way superior. That is all. -
Was Revan the ultimate Sith Lord?
The Yeti of 66 replied to The Yeti of 66's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Revan was stronger than any other Jedi or Sith or any other. He embraced Sith teachings fully and he *never* fell to the darkside. He used it as a tool like the star forge. Of course this makes him a horrible sith lord I agree. He was quite ignorant though, in thinking that Malak, the Jedi that became his Sith assasins, and his other dark jedi in thinking they would not fall like he did. I think that is why he thought Malak would not betray him. Marka Ragnos? No, Sadow was better than him. And Sadow sucks compared to Revan. Vader wasn't that great. He experience a tad of lightning as was mortally wounded. Luke was getting the whole of it and still dragged Vader back to his beated up shuttle. Vader was pretty kick ass though, but quite blind before he discovered Luke. That whole thing with the forseeing his death to clone himself is the only EU that I hate, just BS to attempt to explain the aftermath. Everyone knows if you die, you don't transfer to your next body. Those were merely others with the same thoughts. Stupid IMO. In the movies though he was cool. I hate him in the prequels though. How could you not? In the OT he gave me chills and seriouly was my favorite dude ever. The prequels kind of gave me a different impression, especially ep 2. I thought they never suspected him at all until he called himself galactic emperor after the jedi were dead except for Yoda who hid amongst the darkside on degobah. Which gives me another question. Yoda was hidden amongst the darkside aura, but Obi-Wan was on Vader's homeworld and was never once discovered. Also, Kreia explained that Revan had the same power as the exile, the ability to convince others to follow but not at the same level. Revan used those DS teachings to do it, but the exile was greater because even when strictly following the light could use it without the knowledge. Another thing, Revan could not explain that the dark teachings were the answer to the threat, that was the answer and the would never have it. Besides, what they felt was not the true sith, it was Revan's hidden war of conversion. Anywho, when he remembered what he did, he had to go fight them alone, no fleet, no endless army, no stupid apprentice, nothing, alone. Revan was smarter than you give him credit for, and the emperor is stronger than I give him credit for I admit. So for those of you who think Sidious is the best, look up Revan in the chronicles and other places whereever you find infor, that will show you my point of view. I myself will look up the Emperor and see your point of view, then maybe we can meet at a center. I'll do that now. -
Bastila >>>>>>>>>>> Visas I think they both should have been sent. Exploit the bond to lead them to the Forge and protect Revan from the darkside with a master. Gives it more depth you know.

What if Kreia was wrong about the Exile?
The Yeti of 66 replied to The Yeti of 66's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Perhaps the Kotor series could explain why the force loses balance, something these true sith do, perhaps to Revan cause such an unbalance, such a wound in it, that many can not hear the force. The ability for the Jedi begins to die, and the dark hole grows and grows. Only by the chosen one becoming one with the force, it returns to normal. Or maybe not. -
I think her entire character is meant to explain Revan for the next game. He will appear as an enemy. Look at the Ludo Kreesh tomb, he was an enemy of the future. However, he is not sith, but not Jedi. If anything, he is more jedi than sith in the way that he wants to save the republic. Since he has no real title however, you must see that he is no enemy.

What happens if you stay roughly neutral?
The Yeti of 66 replied to Dodecahedron87's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I was DS, didn't kill a single master so I could get crush and I still got the DS ending bud. I listened to all of Kreias speaches and crap before I made a choice, then my only choices were DS. If you only kill a certain one, then you still get crush...I think. If you spare them all, you *will* get crush. That's all I know of. -
I've never once heard Vrook talk about any of the Jedi Masters from Kotor 1, I was very disappointed. How do you get him to talk about them. I've done this every way so far except for DS female. Never heard a thing like that. And I think Nihilus or Sion would have indeed gone after Vandar if still alive. He couldn't have been hiding on a strong DS aura planet like Yoda, or Nihilus probably would have taken it to sustain himself. I believe Vandar is dead. I disliked all of the masters from Kotor 1. They should have sent an experienced master like who is somewhat like Kreia with him so he wouldn't have had the chance of doing something insane or dark when he discovered the truth. More jedi arrogance to think he wouldn't. *sigh*

What if Kreia was wrong about the Exile?
The Yeti of 66 replied to The Yeti of 66's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Am I the only one that thought her words were more than just an explanation? -
Okay, your bias is understood but you must see that LA just wasn't being fair. Kotor 2 could have been the game of the year no doubt no questions asked if given more time. Obsidian had 13 months, started late 2003 and finished late 2004. Bioware started work in 2001 and finished in 2003. Holy freaking cow. Do you know how much better this game would be? That and, those CGI's kicked ass. Much better than the first, they also have reason and story added to them. With Kotor it was like, okay story here, now go to some planets and play with yourself, then some more story, then more playing with yourself, then a boring uninteresting planet, then end story (note: I love Kotor, I've beaten it 15+ times) While in K2, these planets are interesting (except for Nar Shadaa) And the CGI's fit in this one, it's not like OMFG the I'm on is going down, but I've got 15-30 minutes doing it for the first time. As opposed to K2 stuff, '**** those cracked ships are going to destroy telos and I can't do ****, hey look, the republic is here to kick their ass!'

Would of have preferred an alter story

The thing that bothered me in KOTOR 2, was when people would still call me Jedi, despite I was fully dark side and a Sith Lord to boot. Except for that time in the palace when a soldier yelled"Look, more of Vaklu's troops! And they got a Sith with them!" That was sweet. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well if you go dark enough and become a sith lord you get your avatar on the main menu screen. Is that not cool? Actually I thought it was kinda cheesy. -
What happens if you stay roughly neutral?
The Yeti of 66 replied to Dodecahedron87's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I was going to ask the same question. If you think about it, Kreia seems to encourage neutrality with her constant spouting: The smallest touch causes ripples in the force, do not too much good for you will weaken them by taking their challenges, and do not cruelties for you will take not just from them but others as well. Of course neutrality will only give you so little in the game. You will not be able to pick a prestige class, you will not be able to do Ludo Kreeshes tomb, you won't get Visas for a long time, since the game is the way it is your character will seem inconsistant and perhaps a little insane. Of course in the ending I think you will have the option of returning to exile, that might be one of my missing movies. -
Celebrating episode III: Kyla's fanart
The Yeti of 66 replied to Kyla Carth's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
This work is great. I have a request though. Could you do Revan in full gear, with dual sabers, but don't have them ingnited, just as if he is preparing for a fight like in Ludo Kreeshes tomb, oh man that gave me a chill. -
I focus on lightsaber combat and say screw the rest you know. I use master heal, and mostly power attack. I got flurry so that my combat wouldn't look so repetitive. I went on hard without speed at all so I don't know what you're talking about. I did get those powers though, just because I had to though.

Nope it's not! it's Knights Of The Old Republic. OK we don't know what the game would be like to have a padawan as the PC, mainly because we haven't had a RPG where one was the PC (as far as I know anyway). I think it would be interesting to still have the "uber" powerful jedi by the end of the game but I would like for once to start with just a plain jane jedi for once (and before someone says it in KOTOR you weren't a normal jedi, even if you didn't know that you were revan at the time). I don't know, it could be the most boring game ever made but you have to admit that starting with a speacial jedi in every game is getting kinda redundent and boring to a certain point. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I understand where you're coming from. That will not come from the next game, trust me. They need to finish this current trilogy and then, once done, you can make more games with the younger jedi. In those games, if they make them, they can focus mostly on insane, fast paced, and epic lightsaber duels, that and the struggle between light and dark. -

Okay, your bad spelling ruined your argument. You said the game would be bitter without the hunger force feeding used by the exile and Nihilus. Funny that. Also, what you are asking for would be basically another Jedi Knight game. This is Knight of the Old Republic, a role playing game with story, and choice. KotOR was made popular because it was open ended in your choice of light or dark but still came with a story. Kreia, though talkative, was very interesting and well played out (except for the end on malachor) If the battle was between Jedi and Dark Jedi for control then this would be the worst game to call *The Sith Lords* The Exile was interesting, most padawans, are not. That gives you things to know and find out, why were you exiled, who exiled you, can you get revenge, what effects did you exile have on you. If you were a padawan then what's to know except for, I'm a padawan, I have one class, I want to find more members of the order, I want to fight sith lords, I want to fight dark jedi.....wow.....I'm going to buy that game, play it a couple of times, then sell it on Ebay. With this game, there is much to find out and learn, you can experiment with classes to see what more you could know. You my friend, need to go and play Jedi Academy. -
Okay, Kreia said that the Exile was a hole, a wound in the force. Imagine you are wounded, what happens when you pick at it and try to hurt yourself from it, you could die, but not as easily as you think. Picture that as the force, maybe the force wouldn't die. Now picture Revan, who she said was like staring at the heart of the force. If what happened at Malachor happened to Revan, maybe the force would die. If you try to kill yourself through a wound, you could do it, if you try it through your heart, you will die. Of course what she said could mean nothing and could have just been her comparison to show how she could explain to the exile what it was like to see Revan. Or perhas Revan is so powerfully connected to the force that a repeat of Malachor to him would destroy the force. Maybe this could be further explained or exploited in KotOR 3?
-
Now I say this because of the fact that the exile is a hole, a wound in the force. When all the fights are done, when the sith are dead and gone, the exile can either choose to fight for the rest of his/her days or just stop. It doesn't matter how it happens, but it will. The exile may become like Nihilus, but as you saw with Kreia, the hunger of that power came from falling to it. So this path is least likely. If the exile chose not to fight, he/she wouldn't be able to stay, they would have to seek exile again. Why? The exile will continue to make force bonds, and continue to feed on them, whether the exile is fighting or not they will happen. The jedi, when put back together, will cast the exile out again, no person would want that near them if they knew the consequences, and those who did not know would slowly be destroyed by the exile, perhaps become like slaves and puppets. There is no living person who now knows how to heal the exile, maybe Revan but unlikely. When Kreia killed the Masters, the exile's fate seemed finished. For one so concerned about the exile she didn't think about what happens after the sith are gone. I may be wrong, just another thought.

When you get the one you need it will say something like: Lightsaber Lens Fixture recieved or something like that.
-
I could do the push, I'll try that. This is my first planet, and the only armor feat I have is light. The only armors I have is medium and a padawan robe. I've gotten really really close and I can't do it. Should I try killing those other guys? They die really easily.
-
Okay, I'm in the tomb and I'm having the vision with Malak and all the other jedi who want to know why I joined the war and want me to turn to the dark side. I cannot win this fight, I've tried many times. The odd thing is that when I lose it kills me. I fall to the ground and it says that the final attack didn't kill me, and Kreia says nothing. Then I die, no matter what happens, I die after that. I've done this over and over and over and each time the same thing happens. I've tried healing right after I've taken that last hit but he does nothing before the cutscene where I fall to the ground. How do I get it back to where it just gives me a darkside hit if I lose?
-
I think they *need* to start with Revan or the Exile but they need to find some original way to start at level one or very low leveled, like 5 or 10 maybe. If they don't, then it will be confusing and stupid. After this trilogy is done, then they can go past it and then start with a new jedi or something.
