A little patience will do you some good. Remember how buggy NWN was when it was first rel;eased? Hell, not all of its bugs have ben squashed and its been out for 2 to 3 years already.

I agree, it is a balance issue, but the game is stacked against the baddies we face. Hell, with a properly attuned vibroblade I was doing up to 60 points of damage against the droids at Peragus. On average I was doing around 30 points of damage a round, using power attack and flurry in tandem. They work just fine for me.

They really should have redone the movies so they can actually look good on the computer. If a job is worth doing it is worth doing well, as they say. The Movie sequences were definitely not done well.

Nice. I was wondering if the KotOR tool would work withthe game or not. I was planning of doing some rebalancing and such once I completed the game unmodded.

Challenging games are teh way of the dodo, guys. Best get use to it. They don't want to make games "difficult" because the casual gamers won't bite. Nearly every game released nowadays have training wheels on them, and that is on the high difficult settings. I don't see that changing... ever.

Talk to her again, and get the "Apathy is Death" option. That will result everyone attacking you. If you live it should open and if you don't, reload. Hope that helps.

Maybe your hard drive was simply subpar. There are other possibilities why a piece of hardware fails.

I am sure it will be a fine adventure game but JE not making real CRPGs is like Stanley Kubrick directing American Sitcoms. Its just wrong somehow. In any case I hope the game is successful for you, JE.

Bugs aside, I like KotOR 2 more than KotOR 1. So far I have yet been able to predict any major events unlike the "You Are Revan" so called twist in KotOR 1.

My guess would be Akari. I don't remember if Akari is a he or a she for some odd reason.

You know, I think they would have been better off not using FMV CG and used the engine graphics for the cutscenes.

If you have an X-Box then keep renting. Rent KotOR 2 to judge for yourself. If you have a PC buy them KotOR 1 is pretty cheap now and as for KotOR 2 you can wait for the first patch, which would be prudent but so far I haven't came across any game stopping bugs. Just some graphical hiccups and Runtime Error in the C++ code.

Actually I don't see why they couldn't use the Jefferson engine. Just do to it what Obsidian is doing tothe Aurora engine. Put a up to date graphics engine, like the Electron, on top of the Jefferson engine.

That is one thing I hope they put in KotOR 3 and any future Obsidian games. I want a list of all the Botched Quests. That is one of the things I liked about Arcanum.

Until I hear it from Obsidian and LucasArts themselves then I shall remain doubtful.

I hate EA because what they did to Origin. Since that time I have yet spent money on an EA game and I doubt that I ever will.
